This is a YouTube video titled "The moment I realized I had to do something about my weight" containing a personal monologue by Nagina Abdullah recorded around March 2017. In this reflective piece, Nagina shares a pivotal moment in her life when she felt emotional about her weight and decided to take action for her health and well-being.
We just moved from one from our old office location to another office location. And this was the first day. And it was like mid March 2016. And my colleague was just clicking a picture of me at my new workstation and I didn't like my picture. I wanted to cry at that point. I have a picture which I shared with you before. It was in a black dress. I was sitting on the chair. My tummy was out of my dress. My face looked like I don't know how many pounds I put. I was sad when I saw that picture. I really, really wanted to cry. And, like, I thought, maybe I'll just go into depression if I don't do something about my weight loss because I let myself go for the last four, five years and the weight had pulled on. That was my moment that, okay, I need to do something. This is enough now. I've given up on myself a lot of times, pushed myself back, but that was my moment. I really wanted to cry at that.
