I didn't have. And I didn't have the money. And so those five things really are what created that mindset of, I got to a point, by the time I was 30, I was a millionaire.
Hey, guys, what's going on? Andy Elliot. In today's video, we're going to cover something super cool, which I love. Like tactical pillars, steps, secrets. This is going to be the five steps, secrets, pillars that has helped my man Adon right here build from $0 to $70 million a year. Now I want to tell you something super cool, right? Like, if somebody's like, I went from 0 to 100,000, like, I'm impressed by that. I mean, honestly, like, there's different standards and there's. There's different levels. Zero to a million, like, that's cool, dude. I mean, anytime someone goes from like, I almost got fired to making a million dollars a year, I'm like, dude, how'd you do it? Like, I don't care who they are. I want to know how they did it. When a guy went from living in his car to now he's got a big, beautiful life, I want to know how you did it, because I can find a road, a blueprint, a map for something for me. And I like, this guy went from 0 to 70 million. Now, not only on top of that, but he has an incredible relationship with his wife. He's an unbelievable father. He has a big business, he's close to God, and he's such a good dude. And so I just want to tell you, and you're on your fitness journey now, which is exciting to me because it's just like he's transforming every day. But I wanted. And I was talking to him today, he's the largest builder, the most successful builder in Albuquerque. Albuquerque, Mexico. And he's crushing it. He's killing his. Destroying it. Now he's moving down here to Scottsdale. They're taking on new market territory. He's expanding. He's growing. He's taking risks like never before because he doesn't want to settle it. I want you to share your story, and then tactically, I want you to share these five pillars, these five steps that you shared with me on how you've generated wealth and changed your life. And so I know every day everybody's looking to go to the next level. So, guys, today. Don, walk us through. I appreciate you being here, brother, but walk us through. Number One, what are some of these five steps, right? And then important, like, walk us through some of the journey in your life. Because a lot of people, when they see someone successful, right, they're like, oh, this guy must have had this or that or he's built different, dude. That's not the case ever. So today you're going to learn that. And I bet you guys will find yourself in his shoes, and you guys can go to even further than he's gone.
Thank you so much, Andy. It's such an honor to be here with you. Yeah, I've. You know, I. I heard your story the first time, and it reminded me a lot of mine. I. I came from a very, very, you know, poor environment, and my childhood was rough. Like I said, it was very. I think a lot of people could relate to just having a rough childhood. And basically I was told, you'll never amount to nothing. Get out of my house. Just a hard situation. So I did. Well, luckily I had about 40 grand saved up by 16, so I bought myself a place, got married at 17, and we. We moved into my little place and we started our life with big goals and big dreams. And I think a lot of it was just that hurt inside of knowing that you have this enemy, right, that you have this enemy within you, that you're either gonna kind of fall into the same pattern, the same abuse, the same neglect, the same divorce, the same stuff, or you're gonna change your life and be something. And so a lot of my drive young was just. She was against my father, against having no one, and bonded with my wife at the time, and we put ourselves through college, we started my business, and before you know it, you know, we were. We were thriving. But so much of that was just the dedication, the goals, the planning. But way back then, I didn't have those five steps. I didn't have God. First, I didn't have family. Second, I didn't have a team. I didn't have fitness, and I didn't have the money. And so those five things really are what created that mindset of. I got to a point, by the time I was 30, I was a millionaire a little before 30. But I didn't have. And I was fit, but I didn't have God. And whenever you don't have that at the center, you plummet. You just fall because it's empty. And so I got divorced. And then it went through a different time in my life where it was crazy. I'd been to the Same one from 14 to 30 and went through all these things, and you grow and you change and you learn. And then I became wealthy again. I got all my money back, started again from nothing. I think that's a big thing too, is when you start from nothing and then if you lose, you go through divorce, you go through something tough, you think, well, how do I do this again? Well, we've already accomplished it. It took 30 years the first time. It took four years to make it back. But I'd made it back with alcohol, with drinking, with partying, with doing things. I was still a good dad. Every other week when I had my kids, end of the week, I'd be not in a way that I'm extremely unproud of. And you go through that phase and you go through those things and you realize you're empty again. Well, luckily, shortly after I met my beautiful wife and I had started saying, okay, I'm going to try to change the negatives and try to have a relationship. So I started a little bit of prayer. I met my beautiful wife. She's young, she's a lot younger than me. And it was a big change for, for me too, because I want to lead a different, a different way.
The hardest thing to do is to change in front of your own peers or the people that you already know, right? Because those people have already labeled you. They know how you are. If you go tell them you're going to change, they're going to laugh at you. You know, they don't really believe that, Right? So just ask, like when you went and the second time you were running around, jumping, you know, from bar to bar, you know, how did you change?
Like, like, you know, I, I, I.
Know there were people, but, like, how did that happen? So anybody can understand, like, that, you know, how do they do?
I think a part of it was just, you know, all those years of being married from 14, it was with one woman. My whole, my whole entire, you know, teenage years, everything. You're always thinking, you're always, maybe you're not. I never cheated. But in your mind, I always was. I was thinking, what would it be like to be on a date with a different woman, to go here, to go there? I, I never dated another, did any of that. Once you have all that and you think, and it's funny because so many of the friends that I had, they think, oh, you're living the life. You have money, you have all these women, you have all this stuff, you're traveling the world. It was the most empty, shallow, lonely time in my life. And everybody thought it was great, but I just wanted somebody to be with. I wanted somebody to really love, who loved me. Not the trip, not the car, not the purse, but love me. And who loves my children, who really valued. And none of them ever met my kids because I just wouldn't allow anybody to meet them. But inside I was empty. So that emptiness, I think it was. In a way, it led me towards God. It led me towards. I need a change. And so I took. I took about six months where I just didn't date anybody, didn't do anything. At this time, I was about 305 pounds. I was the fattest that I'd ever been. I gained all that weight. Once I became single and went through that, I. I gained all this weight. Why? Because you're drinking all the time. Yeah. You're not working out anymore. You're not focused on. My business fell off. I was actually. I was an intel engineer for 17 years. Graduated college, went to Intel. I was always doing my business on the side. And that was one of the big fears is how do I. How do I leave these golden handcuffs of this job? And I was always thinking, well, finally I made the jump and my business blew up. Right. Changed. But it also led me to be unhappy, miserable by myself. So I think if you're asking, the change happened with identifying that there's nothing else out there. There is no other person. There's no other thing. You have to find that within yourself and within God to. To feel strong and confident, and you find a soulmate, and she just lifts you up. All my life, I look for. For somebody, probably because I didn't have it growing up, but somebody who just elevates and loves you and is protecting you. I think one of the biggest things is because I lacked so much mentorship and having it now. So when it comes to my team, My team's all 20s. The oldest one's 30. They're all hungry. They're all hungry to have success. My goal is to have them the same five, to have them close to God, love their family, be somebody they can have their daughters and kids look up to as a husband and a wife. To have this team, having that team and being able to push them and grow them. I want them to be extremely successful. But without God, family, you know, their team, and then the fitness, it'll be empty even, no matter how much money they make. But I also want them to be wealthy. Why? Because I want to shortcut. I want to shortcut their life from not having to wait till they're almost 50. To have the great life, which is not just wealth. It's not any of the things. It's a combination of all. And I really push them so hard every day to have that and psalmism. So that's.
You got a beautiful family.
Thank you. Thank you so much.
A super beautiful family. What are some things that you would recommend people don't do in life? Not what to do. A lot of people, like, do this, sure. But what are some things that you did that maybe set you back along the way?
Some things don't mention a second ago, I never answered your question is you have to cut. You have to cut the people out of your life that are bringing you in the wrong direction. And if there's anything I could say is establish the people who you want to be like and surround yourself with them. And a lot of times people are like, I grew up really poor. There wasn't anybody that I really looked up to that had all that. And so what I found is there were some that were close to God and I'd be close to them with this, or some were very wealthy. I'd be close to them with that. But I couldn't find the balance. So I think one of the biggest things I think is to have your. Your habits or your mindset in a place where you're. You're doing the basic things. I think so much of, of being successful at anything, a father business, is having that mindset, setting the precedent for your mind. How do you do it? Well, you know, through read. If you don't have it, if you don't have a mentor, you get it through books, you get it through podcasts, you get it through social media is easy. Most of it's free. You can get it there at church. There's so many good people there.
So many.
So. But a lot of them don't have money. So you. But you can find them. You can find people that are going to lead you in a direction. Right. To find that brotherhood. I don't care if it's two people. I don't care if it's a very few amount of people, but find somebody that you can cling on to that you want to be like. It's very simple. Start emulating the things that they do to have success. When you see somebody fit, well, how do they eat? How do they work out? How do they sleep? What is their diet? Well, it's no different with fitness than it is with success in money, success in marriage. How many men really actually sit there and. And think about that. Right. How many really devote themselves to the kind of husband they are, the kind of father they are? A lot of them devote to money. But then what about the. All the other things that they're lacking?
Do you think that because you have a certain charisma about yourself, Right. You have a certain character and these traits, do you think that those are things that people really need to develop if they're going to make it in the new.
It's one of the biggest things. It's one of the biggest things that sets people apart is it's not about just having pictures of pretty houses in my. My business or having a video of a beautiful house. You know what sells my house is that same thing that I make that I want my business. And I think in any sales department, you're going to make it feel like a small boutique, right? You want to make it feel. When you go buy some fancy Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel. So the places my wife loves to go, they know my name. They send me texts when I come in. They like. They have the champagne my wife likes every time. They know my baby, Dallas. Yes. And they talk and they're like, hey, we knew you were coming. And so we have all these things laid out.
Feels good.
And you feel like, man, this feels amazing. It's the red carpet rolled out. When you go to other places, they don't know you. They don't care. Right. Haircut. My barber charges 30 bucks. I pay him a hundred bucks. You know why? Because if I text him and say, I need you to be here at 6pm because I don't have. I'm in. Hey, do you want me to come to your house?
Yeah.
That boutique feeling feels amazing. Right? If you can make people feel like they're in that small boutique feeling regardless of what you're selling or what you're doing.
Yeah.
They want to be a part of it.
Yeah. I love that. I see why you do so good. I mean, you're a great guy, but you. You're really passionate about what you do. The transfer of energy is amazing. Plus, the eyes are the window to the soul. You can see in your soul that it's peace. It's love.
Thank you.
But also, there's a psychopath who wants to be the best.
Absolutely.
You know what I'm saying?
I love winning. I hate losing more than anything there is.
Yeah. And you're like, over my dead body, am I gonna let someone down?
Yes, sir.
Like that old school principle, which is rare.
It is rare.
Yeah.
The old school Principle. It's been lost a lot.
You're posting on social media now, Instagram, Facebook, right?
Yes, sir.
And you put out daily content on things you're doing.
Yes.
You know, like on your journey, things that can help other people. Every, everybody. Right now do me a favor. I want you to go to Instagram, I want you to go to Facebook. What is your Facebook page?
Candelari Homes.
Okay, we'll put that on the screen. That's the name of his homes company. Nice, sir. And is it same one for Instagram?
Yes, sir.
Okay, good. And so we're going to put his Instagram handle. We'll put his Facebook. You, you guys, right now you've heard the five pillars that has helped him change his life. Through life. You learned some of them a little earlier, you learned some a little later, right?
Yes, sir.
We'll finish with this. But what do you think life could have looked like if you would have learned all this at 21?
Oh, I couldn't imagine that. Makes me so excited about my team. Because our young is to have those things in place, to have God, family, your team develop a team, a fitness, and then the money, the money will be there. If you set the mindset and you have those force four in line, the money will come. You can make money at anything. If I close my home building business down and started selling boats. Yeah, I'd make millions of selling boats.
Same thing.
Makes no damn bit of difference. I love my home building. I love impacting, creating people's dreams and making them in reality. So I love what I do. You got to love what you do. And if you don't do something you love. But there, there's, there's something to the old school mentality of do what you say and then say what you're gonna do. Just do it. Yeah. No matter how hard it is, my team knows I've never let any of them down. Yeah, I never will. I tell myself if I'm not gonna. If I'm not there, it's because I'm dead. Because I will not let you down.
Yeah.
And then you just don't.
I tell my team the same thing. I say, dude, if I ever lie to you guys about anything, walk out of here. Yeah, just leave. I don't want you to work here. The reason why is because I don't deserve to have you here with me because I am a liar. And so I just like call this, like really high standard, you know, culture. It's called a call out culture. And it holds you really accountable. And the hardest thing in this life to do is to hold your word to yourself.
Right? Yeah. It's easy to not let you down. Yes. It's changed my life just in the last two years.
Yeah.
See, you call me out.
Yeah, exactly.
You called me out 12 weeks ago. Yeah, you're doing great. You have a beautiful family. We had lunch. How do you think it would be if you were in shape? And that cut me. Right. It hurt me. Why? Because I was working out so much. I was still drinking. I totally stopped drinking. I wasn't dieting, I wasn't doing the right things and you weren't mean about it. In my mind I heard you sell me, you're fat, you're not nothing. It's almost like my dad talking to me. You didn't say any of that stuff.
Yeah, my wife, she always says like, hey, take the trash out. I hear her say take the dam effing trash out.
Yes, yes.
I'm like processing.
So what I do, I've lost 47 pounds in 12 weeks. How? By working my ass off. But by dieting, intermittent fasting, doing the things that. And I'm, I got five more months till 50. I will have a jack six pack.
Yeah. And you look amazing, man. I'm just watching your body and it just feels good.
Then you start, you said, then how do you think people are going to look at you have this great message. But when people see you, do they see discipline? Do they see this man? When they see a discipline, they think they can trust that man. They want to be like that man. When they see a sober, God loving man who loves his wife and baby, who's loyal to them now, they want to be that. But if you're not in shape, they can't see it because they're seeing past.
Your fat well and well and plus you don't really respect yourself when you don't take care of yourself.
So the confidence and everything else.
Yeah, it feels.
I love to buy new clothes. I've been buying new clothes every other.
Week because no one fits when you look great. Like I'm watching your body change so much. And so, you know, part of having a coach is your coach's job isn't to be your friend.
No.
You pay people to get your results. And the biggest thing is is that results in coaching is just developing and self development and it's maxing out your potential. And so basically you're doing that as a father, you're doing it in business, you're doing it with your health, you're Doing it with God. It's like everything just all coming together and then. Which leads to that last part, which was like money, Right. Like, all that creates money because you don't have to chase money anymore. You attract it when you become what you're doing now.
And then they want that lifestyle.
Yeah.
They want that view. When they see you, your beautiful wife, your beautiful kids, you're very successful financially. They see how they're jacked. You're like, well, what is this guy saying? What's he selling? Whatever it is, I'm buying because I want the same things. We all want the same thing. We want the respect of our wives, of our kids.
We.
We want the respect of society. We want to feel more than anything. We want the respect of ourselves.
Yes.
And even three months ago, I didn't have that. Why? Because I still. Still fat.
Yeah.
And you don't feel that no matter what you are inside. And you told me one thing you said at that lunge is I want people to see the fire inside of you outside. Now they're starting to see it.
Yeah.
And then when they see it, then you can give your message, Your message of faith and hope and love that you can come from absolutely nothing to a multimillionaire. From being a man who never had a good father or saw good. What it was like to have a good husband, him being a good husband, to be that husband. It took me a lot of years.
Yeah.
But I feel like I'm turning into that now.
Yeah. And so. And then. So this took us down a rabbit hole of. At 21, if you had learned this, what could you have done? And he basically could get it done. Everything.
I would be a billionaire. Yeah. I'd be a billionaire. I'd have been close to God. I wouldn't have had three marriages. It'd be a different life because I followed those things. I would have had years of emptiness and pain. I would have fixed all that.
Yeah. And if you wouldn't have shifted and made this change you'd done now, you would have died with regrets.
Yes.
Yeah. So if anybody's watching this, number one, make a change today. And this is what happens. And no matter how old you are, you can make a change at 15. You can make a change at 90 years old. It doesn't really matter. Like. Like, that's the cool thing about life, is age doesn't matter. Okay. And I want you guys to follow him on Facebook. I want you to follow him on Instagram. If you loved his message today, go follow him and hit Him a DM message him. I love it. I love the world we live in, that we can all connect with each other. And if you live in New Mexico, if you live in Arizona, I know he's going to be building and branching all around the world. This guy builds some killer homes. Unreal. Some of our really good friends, he's building next door to our house right now. And it's just amazing. And he's. He's the best. So anyways, go hit him up. I love your story, man. I'm super proud of you. And I can't wait to do another one of these in a year from now. And you'll see, like, dang, like, it's like, you know, you could do more in one year than you did in 20 years. You know what I mean? And I love that. I think it's about compressing time frames when you get wise. So if you're watching this get wise, listen to what he said. And he said, had he had the right leader, he would been, you know, way further by now. And so. But now you heard his message, so now you have the responsibility to change your life. Because he didn't hear it when he was younger. And then when I heard it, I took on the responsibility, changed my life. Now it's your turn. So we love you guys. We'll see you in the next video. Make sure you comment below, subscribe, and. And most importantly, go follow my man right here. He's on a mission. He's on a path. Go support his journey. Love you guys. See you in the next video.
