A short YouTube monologue by Nate Tilley advising small businesses to implement basic digital practices: keep Google My Business updated (post about once a week to improve search/maps presence and receive messages/reviews), maintain and link social accounts (Instagram, etc.) on the website and post regularly to have an online presence, and adopt a non-manual CRM/process to track inquiries, follow-ups, and deals so the team doesn't lose leads and so customer acquisition costs and advertising can be measured and scaled.

Yo, I noticed a lot of businesses don't do the basics. So you need to go to your Google my business and be posting there like once a week. Okay? Google my business is huge because it's gonna actually increase your search results, it's gonna put you higher up in the maps, and you can actually get messages off Google my business and it's gonna be where people go to look for reviews for you. So you need to do that. Then you need to set up the other accounts that you have, your Instagram, all that stuff, and link them on your website. Okay. And be posting there. Okay. Have a little presence. You don't have to do a lot with that, but you have to have a little presence. Okay. Two, you need to have a CRM solution that's not manual. Okay? Your salespeople, your team, they're going to forget about leads, they're going to forget about deals. So when somebody inquires with your business, they need to go into a process. That process needs to be tracked, it needs to be followed up with, and it needs to be tight. So all your deals come in, you can work them, you can see where they're at, and you can know what you're doing as far as converting leads. If you don't know how much you're paying to acquire a customer online or you. You're not even running ads online, it's going to be really difficult for you to grow, just basically relying on word of mouth and referrals. So if you're looking for a system that's going to be a good solution for you, you need to start doing these basics, getting the basics set up for yourself so you can run profitable advertising, so you can start scaling, and so you can start growing.
