Building The Value On A Sales Call

A short coaching video (by Nate Tilley) about handling price objections on sales calls. Main advice: price objections usually indicate insufficiently built desire/value; overcome them by clearly summarizing benefits (a "mini bomb") and making the value simple and obvious before asking for the sale.

We've got four days left to go out there and get it. All of these deals that are out there, like, the whole, like, the biggest objection that you guys will come up against is probably the price one, right? And the price objection is not even a real objection in terms of, like, if you build enough desire, anybody can go out and get the money, right? Like, it doesn't really. Like, it's not that, like, even today, you just put it on Uncle Visa. I'm talking about in. In theory, right? So if you can get somebody's des. If someone really believed without a shadow of a doubt in their heart that this is definitely going to work for them, they would just put it on a credit card. Agree or disagree. Right. If there was zero risk and this was 100% going to work, then there would be no reason just to put it on the credit card. And I'm not saying that we're going to be pitching it like that, but it's good for you to know that when you hit that price objection, what they are also telling you is, this is just not desirable enough for me. It doesn't look that good. You haven't really built the value enough. Where the price that you're asking is, you know, it's a pittance to what the value is that I'm gonna get. So typically when people say that they can't afford it, they can afford it, right. Or it's not in the budget. Like, nothing's in a budget, right? Typically, like, people buy shit all the time that's outside the budget. What they're basically saying is that, like, this isn't exciting enough of an opportunity for me to really justify or for me to go to war with my business partner and build up. So when somebody hits you with that, the first thing that you want to do, like, look at the level of the pitch that you've done or how quality has it been or what is it that you can do to really build the value up in terms of what you've asked for that prospect. So don't you see how this makes sense and how you could afford it? I'm just trying to wrap my head around how you're saying that you can't afford this when basically this will pay for itself. So what do you mean in terms of the price is too high? Yeah, you've got it. Yeah. You got to make it simple. Like, you can't go into those calls and take it for granted that they remembered everything that you said on the first call, call and second call. Right. I call it a mini bomb. It's like, before I ever ask for the money, I'm dropping a mini bomb on them where I'm just summarizing everything. So it's so, so simple. I don't go through the whole 35, 40 minute pitch and then go, da da, da. Then at the end you summarize everything. So basically, da da da. Exactly what I just said. There's 1600 people in Melbourne searching for it. We can help you get, you know, 10 to 15 leads and you get one to two deals. Do you see how this all makes sense and making it really, really simple? Because if you say it like that to somebody and then you ask them, don't you see how you could make this make sense? Like, unless they're just completely irrational and illogical, then there's no way that it doesn't make sense.
