Chatbot VS Email? #HEYSABRI

Short video in which Sabri Suby answers a viewer question: “Chatbot versus email?” Suby’s position is that email is the superior, more stable channel for driving revenue. He cites personal results—claiming over $10 million in revenue from email on a single funnel—and argues that email provides higher-quality attention (inbox vs. social/chat), is more reliable than platform-dependent chatbots (e.g., Facebook Messenger), and can be combined with chatbots as a secondary double-opt-in mechanism. Video ends with a standard YouTube CTA to like, subscribe, and comment.

Hey guys, on today's sub. Hey guys, today on hey Subway. I'm answering hey guys. Hey guys, today on HeySubree, I'm answering Isagi Edgar's question. Chatbot versus email. Now this one that comes up quite often and my whole stance on this is like the short answer is email. And the reason for that is like I, I have to speak from personal experience and what I've been able to build and you know, I've done over $10 million in revenue just from email, just that one channel on only one of my funnels alone, right? And if I look around and have a look at like the people that have built like a hundred million, 200, 500 million, even a billion dollar businesses, most of these people have done it with the bedrock of their business being email, right? And, and you know, there's obviously all these kind of people shouting from the rooftops, email is dead. And yes, open rates, you know, are kind of getting a bit of a hammering. But still, if you look at, you know, you have proper attribution in your business like I do, and you're looking at all the different channels, you know, email by far is the biggest driver of revenue in our business. So I'm not. If you're big on chatbots, you know, the thing that I don't mind chatbots for is like a double opt in. So you have the email opt in first and then you have like upgrade of some kind of bonus content if they subscribe. Because the whole thing about it is, right, you want to build your business on a platform that is stable. And if you're talking about many chat or any of these chat bot software, it's like Facebook can just decide in the blink of an eye. Like nut, I don't, I don't want these guys to have access anymore and then you're done. You know, I mean like you've just built your business on really shaky foundations and really shaky land. And one thing that will remain to be true for now and really what I see into the future is that like you think about the context of a subscriber, right? And where a subscriber comes from and you think about where they're engaging in that content because they're all, not all, they're not all created equal, right? If you think of somebody that for instance is on a chat bot, like that means that they're essentially on Facebook messenger. And if they're on Facebook messenger, join, just think about the context and the mindset that somebody has when they are on Facebook. Like they are there to socialize. Right. And that's the mind frame that they got where with email, it's like when you're in the inbox, typically speaking, like, you're there for work. So typically, that attention is worth so much more than someone that's in a distracted state in Facebook Messenger. So, you know, I definitely think that you should spend the majority of your time focusing on being a master at crafting the message and being able to put messages in front of people that get them to act. You know, the delivery vehicle is not huge in terms of. That's not where you really want to focus, because those things will change over time. But if you're looking at right now who are the people that are building eight figure, nine figure businesses, and what are the channels that they're using? Typically, they are relying in their funnel predominantly on email. So that's my tip. Hey, guys, if you enjoyed this video, make sure that you click the like button and subscribe.
