This YouTube video (creator: Nate Tilley; uploaded Sept 12, 2023) outlines common operational problems that slow lead response: leads sitting stalled/unattended, inefficient manual routing (e.g., printed leads), insufficient contextual lead data (only name/email/phone), misrouting within organizations, and delays or inconsistency in sales follow-up. The speaker emphasizes capturing sufficient upfront information and correct routing to enable impactful, timely follow-up.

Common challenges a lot of businesses see or they see is leads sit stalled and unattended to before being routed to a rep for follow up. So nobody even gets them. Or like I've seen some dealerships, they just print out piece of paper and they pass them out to their sales guy and tell them to follow up that way. That's really inefficient and it's really hard to track. Leads lack sufficient contextual information resulting in a need to research and or triage the leads for data. If the leads don't have like upfront the information, like when they're looking to buy what kind of car they're looking for, that kind of thing. So if you're just getting name, email, phone number, you don't really know how to follow up with the lead. So you need to make sure that you've got all the information that you need upfront on your leads so that you're able to follow up with them in the most impactful way. Another thing too is if leads are misrouted in the organization, if they're not going to salespeople requiring rerouting and incurring subsequent time delays happens all the time. Something that we have to watch out for. After leads are correctly routed, the sales delays in follow up or they're inconsistent in follow up.
