Sierra and others argue that radical honesty with yourself, your goals, and God breaks the cycle of self-delusion. Feeling pain instead of avoiding it unlocks passion and progress. Surrender to the Holy Spirit matters when your own effort fails, and real change requires accountability and a renewed mind, not just a moment of deliverance.
What do you have to say to the people, Sierra?
Well, I've got a lot to say to the people, but the number one thing I have to say to you guys is you need to be honest. Because if you're not honest with yourself, if you're not honest with your goals, if you're not honest with God, you're never going to get where you're wanting to go, because you're living in a state of delusion. And the issue here is that most people are living in freaking La la land thinking that everything's okay, that they're fine because they're numb, because they don't feel anything. So when you can get honest with yourself, you can trul. Feel the pain, overcome it, push through, and actually have something you're passionate about.
I feel this so much because literally, like, there was times in my life when I was like, all right, I got to change. I got to get rid of this habit, and. But I'll get rid of it eventually. And then a year went by, and then two years went by, and soon you realize you're like, I'm not doing this on my own. I'm actually not getting better. And so if you're radically honest, surrender to the Holy Spirit. You know, you might pray for something to just get taken away, and God doesn't take it away. Why? Because God wants you to know how much you need him and how much you need to surrender.
Well, that's the thing. Most people are like, oh, I want deliverance, right? Or, I want to be delivered from this. But the issue is you can get delivered by something, but the next step is discipleship, and you actually want walking it out. And what most people don't want is accountability. So you can get delivered from something, but the strongholds are still there because you have to undo that in your mind. So get real with yourself.
