Facebook Ads for Residential Painters

Nate Tilley shows how to fix a painter's Facebook ads in Florida and California. The campaign had 800 impressions but almost no lead form submissions, with a 2.51% click-through rate at $0.63 per click. He widens the audience from homeowners aged 35-44 to 30-65, adds parent and married filters, and tests dynamic ads with variations.

Alright, take three. Let's see if Facebook doesn't mess it up this time. Okay, cool. So today the name of the game is optimizing a painting campaign that I am doing. We're running it for a residential painter in Florida and we're running the same campaign now in California. Similar offer, similar campaign structure. But of course it's going to be a little different. What worked there might not work in Florida. So I'm going to monitor the ad set the interest stack that we used out there and I'm going to make my adjustments and open up to my new ad stack. So looking at what this data means, I go to Carousel engagement because it shows me everything I do. You can customize your columns to be exactly what you need and that's what I need to do. I just haven't done it yet. So it looks like we spent like 12 bucks I think. Yeah, 1250. And we're getting clicks for 63 cents per click. For some reason people are just not coming into the lead form and submitting their information. 19 link clicks out of 800 impressions, that's every hundred people. That's 2.5 or something like that. People that are coming clicking the ad, that's pretty good. You want one out of 100 at least click through rate is. Yeah, like I said 2.18. So not as high as I thought with 2.5 20 clicks. Overall 20 people cost per click.63 cents a person and unique click through rate just like actually what I estimated, 2.51. So out of all the people that see it 2.51% of them are actually clicking through. As long as your click through rate is above 1%, 1.5% then you're kind of on track with where you need to be to have a good ad. Of course getting in hire is good. I've had it up to 8% on some 12%. It just depends on a lot of factors how dialed in your audiences and this audience is not very dialed in and it's cold traffic. Okay, so what I'm going to do here actually we're just targeting homeowners interest stack with 35 to 44 year old. So let me see what I can do. Come on, let me duplicate it. Duplicate. So I like to just start with one audience and then make my duplications. We run dynamic ads so it's already split testing the ads within that. So I don't have a bunch of different ads in the actual ad set. I just have one with all my variations in it. That's just the way I run my ads. Some people do it way differently. I've taken a bunch of courses, and everybody seems to do it differently. So that's just the way that's worked for me, and that's what I like to do. It seems faster, less clunky, but to each their own. And if this thing would load. Let me pause this video while this. All right, so here we are. So what I'm going to do with this audience here is I'm going to just open it up full. Full open audience. And I'm just going to keep the. Completely open audience in that area. Let's make sure the audiences are close in size and they are. Okay. Completely open. Just the geolocation. Men, women, 30 to 65. 30 to 65 plus. Open. Open. Yeah, that's it. And then this one needs to be named because that's what it was. All ages. No, 30 to 65. 30 to 65. Okey doke. So we're going to try and open. Come on. And then I'm just gonna do a married parents. A lot of times that's homeowners if they're above a certain age. So we're gonna duplicate this one more time. Married. And I'm gonna run out of time here. Married. Parents. Go married. Come on.
