Nate Tilley explains why your ads aren't generating leads: your offer probably sucks. Free trials or one-week offers beat 10% discounts because people show up, and you convert them on the backend into paid members.

If you find that you're not getting a lot of leads to come in on your ads, the first thing you want to check is your offer. What are you running? Let's look at a good offer versus a bad offer. A good offer, one week free trial. This is a great offer that you can run. If there's something free, but they have to show up, then you have a high chance of getting to know them and converting them into a deal. A bad offer would be 10% off all new memberships. If I don't know you and I see 10% off all new memberships, I don't really know that the membership is that valuable. I don't really know that I want 10% off. That's not an intro offer that's going to pull you in. So when you're running ads, make sure that you're using an inviting offer that's going to take them to the next step in your sales process. And know that you can run things on the front end that have restrictions on the back end. So some of our offers include, you know, 30 days free when you sign up. So people show up for their first free class and they get 30 days free when they become a member. This is the type of stuff that you can do to get people in and then convert them on the back end and explain how the offer works. But if your ads aren't working, check your offer.
