In terms of, like, staying motivated in the way that you want to live in. The way to kind of engineer your lifestyle that's gonna get you the best return is you really want to look at like, you know, you're making. When you make, you know, really big comms, you can go through that whole mindset where it's less like you want to buy stupid shit or do stupid shit with your money, but you want to live very frugally, right? You don't want to. You don't want to basically have a lifestyle that is just supporting you making really, really big com checks. You want to basically have a lifesty. You know, you can still enjoy things, but you want to be very frugal with the way that you do it. And in the beginning, you want to invest all of that additional money that you're making in yourself and in your learning and in you doing it. And it's not about like, oh, what, what books are available at King Kong or what's. What training is available. For me, when I really saw the huge shift in my sales ability is when I just took full responsibility and started investing in my own self, like a business. And I went outside of what was just at the companies that I was working for. And I was just buying books, buying programs, doing everything that I needed to do to get myself up to speed. And then when you're like, that's a continuous thing. If you look at all the top players in every single profession, business, sports, whatever it might be, these are guys that never, ever stop learning. And they're always hungry. When in theory, they're the guys that should stop because at the very, very top, right? Like, what else is there to learn? But they're the guys that have that insatiable hunger and keep going out there and keep learning and keep investing and keep going. And then that's the very first investment that you want to make is the investment in yourself. And then you just want to look at, like when you're getting these comm checks is just like kick that money out into some fund that you don't even look into, whether it's property or whatever it might be, but it just doesn't exist to you. And you're basically, every time that you get the comms, you're putting a very small amount of money in what the account is that you need to live. And the rest of it, it doesn't even exist, right? Because the typical thing is you look at most salespeople, it doesn't matter what the profession is. You know, typically after having a big month of comms, there is a dip in production. And it may not be that like you see a direct sales month being low the next month. In our industry, it will typically come two months after you have a big month, because the work that you sowed in that month that you had a big month generally goes over to the next month, as you guys know, right? And it's kind of that ebb and flow. Ebb and flow. Even if you guys just look at your own for the year, it's interesting to see that seasonality. Like, you know, one really big month followed by a pretty good second month, and then acquired a third month and then a big month. And then that's just typically what happens. And that's typically because when you log into your net bank account, you're seeing more money there. That's just. It's a very simple mindset, hack, but that's certainly what you want to be doing is just having that frugal kind of lifestyle where, yeah, you can treat yourself to things, but you're not looking at that money in the comms that you're making because that will keep you to a point where you like, you're like, oh, shit, like, I don't need to push as hard or I don't need to make that second call. I don't need to go as high as I possibly would. At the, at the end of the month, it all resets and it all goes down to zero. But one thing that I found is that I have money sitting in a bank account and it's just piling up, piling up. The motivation lapses. Do you know what I mean? You just want to kick it out where it's like, oh, shit, like there's. There's not much money in my bank account. You know, I keep no money in my everyday bank account, so I never, ever get this false sense of security that there's like money there. It's like, okay, I need to go out. I need to write an email to produce some money. I need to launch my sales course again. I need to sell some more. I need to do something to bring some more cash in to the business, right? That's why you see me doing all of those things. The lifestyle goes up as well. Do you know what I mean? Like, okay, cool, let me just go out and get this. Let me start ordering this. Let me go and be a little bit stupid with, with the money. And typically that will always happen in the first year. And that's okay because it's like, it's the first time that you've ever come into so much money before that you're like, okay, let me go treat myself. And that's all good, right? But after you've done that, it can't be something where it's like, I can't treat myself again. And you just keep upgrading your lifestyle to be in line with how much revenue that you're making. Because you guys will never get ahead financially if you do that right. You just build this big beast. What you want to do is looking at, like, if you're looking at you within King Kong as your own little business, then you look at kind of, okay, this is how much money I make every time I make a phone call or every time I send out a proposal. And then you can start to go, okay, either I divide that by the number of hours that I work in a week. This is kind of what my hourly rate is. And then start, like when I say, like, let, you know, live frugally, I'm talking about, you know, you should be hiring a cleaner. You should be hiring people that come in and wash your car, people that do all this stuff for you that you don't need to be doing, right? You can hire a cleaner in your house for like 60 to $70 a week. And that might be something that you for two, three hours on a Saturday. What would happen if you spend an hour going through your proposal sent on a Saturday, just sending a few emails out, and do you think you'd make more than $80? The answer is yes, right? So you know that you guys are like high performance machines. When you get in here and you start firing and you start making money and then everything else that doesn't make you money, making your lunches, cleaning your house, doing all of that kind of stuff, washing and da da da da is just outsource all that stuff. Stuff, go on Airtasker, upload it, find a cleaner, book them in every month. You don't think about it. Your apartment is clean every week and you can spend that might take you two, three hours. You spend an extra hour, like on a Saturday going through your proposal sent, crafting up some emails, touching up some people. I guarantee you, when you do that and you see, just like you might get one extra deal per month and that might make you $1,000 in commissions. It becomes stupid to do all of that other stuff when you police your time and you figure out what's going on because, like, that's it. Like, you guys are professional. Like, if you approach yourself Like a professional and looking at your time and auditing what you're doing and what you're going to be spending on. Or you might say, look, I'm not going to spend like an hour going through my proposals, which I think that you should. Or you might say, I'm going to spend an hour going through my proposals and then I'm going to spend an ever, an extra two hours every Saturday, instead of cleaning my toilet, I'm going to spend it on upstairs myself, on reading a book, reading an audio book, like watching whatever it might be and tooling yourself up. Because when you get to that level where you start to make that money, like you know, doing tasks that you could outsource for $17 an hour, it does not make any sense at all. And the only person that you're cheating is yourself. Right? You know, I also, a lot of that stuff comes from like your parents and what your parents tell you to do and what's a waste of money and not what, you know, what isn't a waste of money. Like I came from like, you know, I was raised by a single parent mother and like the fact that like, that I would like hire a cleaner to come to my house when I could do it myself wouldn't be something that she would ever teach me to do. Right. It's something that I have learned from just looking at, okay, the value of my time, looking at my week, looking at how many hours I've got to sleep, to work out, to be with my family, to work, and then looking at the value of my time in here. It's like buying time. You're just going out there and buying, buying time. And it's just like I do it for, for everything. Do you know? I mean, there's a freaking door in my house, it's broken. I will take a photo and put it up on a task car and I'll have somebody that's accepted that job in like an hour. So that's just like, you know, like those, those principle of like, you know, living frugally in terms of the things that don't add more revenue to you because you could look at that and go, well, that's not being frugal, right? Being frugal, is it Like I make all my lunches and I go out and buy all my food bulk. And then like I never, I do all the cleaning and cooking and prepping and everything myself. Like they're the things that you don't want to be frugal on in, like in terms of running your life like it is a business, and then the other stupid stuff is, like, where you want to cut back on. Do you know, man, that's not the stuff. Like, going out and buying a bottle of Grey Goose on the weekend isn't the thing that's gonna give you the dividends that you're gonna need moving forward. So that's just like, yeah, look. Looking at living frugal, looking at the value of your time and looking at you. If you did an extra on the weekends, what's that gonna give to you?
