How To Steal These Scam Tactics For Ethical Products

This is an investigative YouTube episode (hosted by Sabri Suby) that probes viral scam ads, scammy products, and legitimate products marketed using unethical tactics. The host frames the problem with a cited FTC loss figure, defines a three-part taxonomy of scams (straight-up scams; questionable/scammy products; legit products sold scammy), and walks through multiple case studies—buying items, unboxing/testing them, and exposing deceptive ad techniques. Notable findings in this chunk: a Himalayan shilajit product reportedly sold ~91,000 units generating ~$8.9M in the past 90 days; TikTok's "TikTok made me buy it" tag has enormous reach (claimed >70 billion views); a "shadow work" guide claimed ~800,000 copies sold (~$40M retail); a wireless car vacuum seller reported 5.9k units / ~$42k in 90 days; and deep-fake ads using likenesses of figures like MrBeast, Joe Rogan, and others have been used to push sweepstakes/gambling apps and supplements (one actor claimed "1 million DOL in profit in seven days"). The episode demonstrates both outright scams and borderline products, and highlights how AI deepfakes amplify fraudulent marketing at scale.

Chapters
The next seven days, I'm going to be venturing down the deepest, darkest alleyways of the Internet to find a hundred scam ads and then let them scam me. Some of these products are absolutely wild. Holy. But what's even crazier is just how much money these criminals are making behind the scenes. These guys would be doing well north of a million bucks a month. I'm going to be buying these scams, seeing what I get. I'm also going to be showing you the insane psychological strategies that they're using to do it so that you can apply all of these psychological frameworks to sell more of your legitimate products and services, but in an ethical way. Losses from scams have been exploding over the last couple of years. Avoiding shopping scams used to be so.
Simple investigates with a consumer warning about a growing scam on Facebook.
These are organized criminal gangs who are.
Very savvy at what they do.
The US Federal Trade Commission released data showing that US consumers reported losses of $10 billion to scams in 20. Trust and verification on the Internet is about to become one of the biggest conversations in the history of mankind. All right, I'm putting these scams into three distinct categories. The first one is straight up scams, and these are companies just blatantly lying about their products or services. The second category is scammy products, which is questionable products that are sold in a completely wild way to get you to buy.
Want a bigger snake? Take Ashwagandha.
And the third are legit products, but sold in a scammy way. Which brings us to our first product. Pure Hilti Himalayan shilajit resin. Some of these ads are completely wild.
If a man only ate shilajit for.
Two weeks, this is what might happen to his body. After 24 hours, his testosterone levels may boost.
What are you gonna say about that, Pete?
Ready? He would notice his pencil has grown by up to 3 inches.
Can you believe that?
He then would unlock 100% of his human potential.
They are claiming 9.5 million servings sold of this shilogen. I needed to know exact how much of this product that they were pushing. So I did some digging and I found this tool called Kalodata that lets me peek into some of their sales numbers. In the last 90 days, this thing has sold. Wait for it, 91,000 units. Shilajit resin, $8.9 million in revenue. I shit you not. I shilla jit you not. Their website has 6,000 plus five star reviews. The certificate analysis, it's usually $39, 99 cents. And we have a strike through price, which is fantastic. Then you might have seen us on TikTok. We are viral. I'm going to go ahead and buy this. And boom, the order is placed. The following day I waited for a package to arrive and when it did, I could not wait to see what was inside and to test the product. Holy fuck, look at this. This stuff was absolutely nasty. Oh my. I don't even know that I can try that. I am going to give this to someone on the team. It didn't take long to find someone who was up for a little taste test. Oh my God. All right, that's enough. Here, scull it. Just down it, bro. Smell it now. I was going to get you to smell it. Yeah. Would you like some? Yeah. Wait for this. Why are you having chili jit? What? Black tart helps with the game. All right. No one's had this, this spoon so you can just. You can just do the thing. Oh, thank you. Just suck it off there. It's like a thick tart now on some I can feel the gaze. Let's go see if this shit legit has changed these guys lives. So since the last time we met, how are the testosterone levels? Yeah. And the anxiety level. Has this shilajit done anything? I would say that it is a scam. Alright, there you have it. The guys thought shilajit was a scam, but we haven't even scratched the surface of this crazy illegal shit that these scammers are willing to go through to try and sell you their absolutely outlaws outlandish products. But I know what you're thinking. I'm too smart. I'll never get scammed. Oh really? Huh. Well, I'm going to show you two ads right now and I want you to guess, is one of them a scam? Are both of them a scam or none of them a scam?
Let's start taking a new one they sent me called Magic Mind. What it does is it provides your brain with the nutrients it needs to function at its best.
There's a category of supplements that are very interesting, work very well to increase Testosterone by about 100 to 200 points.
Well, look, that Alpha Grind product is all over TikTok. It literally is increasing size, guys, and making a difference down there.
What you are witnessing right now in this current moment will blow your mind. My name is not Sabri Subi. I am an AI generated deep fake that looks and sounds exactly like the Internet daddy. Scammers are using AI deep fakes and voice cloning technology. Hijacking the likeness of popular figures like Joe Rogan, Snoop, Elon Musk, Scarlet Johansson and Mr. Beast to trick people into buying supplements, credit score software and downloading online gambling apps and straight scamming people for profit.
All you gotta do is download my ad, load little bit of cash and play your favorite games. As a new year present, I gift around three grands for download.
The TikTok made me buy it hashtag has over 70 billion views. And here's the wild thing. Videos with the product tag get pushed more by TikTok. You don't need to show your face and it costs $0 to get started. If that is not the perfect storm for a bunch of scammers, then I don't know what is. But who are the people behind these products and what does it take make these deep fake ads and is it even legal to make these? To promote your products and services, we.
Build this app Sweets Bonanza where everyone can win a minimum of $1,000.
This is a deep fake ad of Mr. Beast used to promote gambling apps including Sweets Bonanza and Candy Extravaganza. Okay, so when looking into the background and company information online for Candy Extravaganza app, there is a web of nonprofit foundations that are listed as the company owners of a company called Accelera AI. It details the occupations of their founders as AI consultants. And all roads point to this guy. I can't be certain that he is the one behind this web of lies because it's almost impossible to get to the bottom of these rogue scammers. And this led me down a crazy Twitter wormhole. And I found this Twitter account that claims responsibility for one of these sweepstakes.
If you're watching this video, you're one of the 10,000 lucky people who will get an iPhone 15 Pro for just $2.
And they said that they made 1 million DOL in profit in seven days scamming people. But we got national media attention and had to pull the plug instantly. And this is a screenshot of how much revenue that they made per day when this ad was actually running. Throughout my search for the scammiest products, I was bombarded with ads from Sanoshi Power Scrubber. It's promoted all over TikTok. And there are hundreds of eerie AI generated videos uploaded to YouTube of people reviewing this thing trying to prove that it's not a scam. I want to remind you to be.
Cautious when making your purchase online.
But the weird thing is all of these videos link directly to their website, which they say is the Only place that you can buy this product. These guys also aren't on TikTok shop and their numbers aren't public, but we can see from their Amazon store that they're moving some serious units. This is the advertorial they're running. And as you can see on this, they've got 2,230 reviews. Cool. We got some before and afters. We've got a video on here. What you'll notice from this page that is very unique is the price isn't mentioned anywhere. Check discounts and availability. I'm going to go ahead and do that. And then bam, bam. We arrive at a 400. Bad request, a broken link, no bueno. So what I will do is I'll just go buy that product from somewhere else. Boom. And the order is placed. The Power Spin scrubber. I will say this is definitely nice packaging, very nice branded. We've got a bit of gloss and embossing going on with the product. I'm impressed. Nice little soft silicon plastic bag here. Like. Oh, there we go. Actually. Okay, we've got different levels. All right, let's go. Actually, the second one does have a bit of zing to it. Now let's put this thing to the test. This is actually feeling like it's not going to be a scam, this one. Did you just use the coffee machine? Yeah. Oh, let's see. Look at it. A fucking pig scar. Put a bit of soap on there. Oh. All right, let's crank up the gear a little bit. Oh, it is working. It is doing what it says it would do. It was actually pretty good. Getting a bit carried away with the Tsunoshi. This is definitely not a scam. It works. I came across a viral oil pulling mouthwash selling more than 100,000 units a week on TikTok Shop. Place this order and boom, it's gone through. Let's take a look. Gently swish oil in between teeth for two minutes. Yeah. Doesn't do anything. Super strength wielding glue. And some of the craziest ads that I've ever seen in my life was sea moss.
Want a bigger snake? Take Ashwagandha. Want to increase your muscle mass? Take CMOs. Want thicker hair? Take black seed oil.
Isn't that fucking wild? A remote control duplicating device that although came the next day. Place the original and the clone remote close together, then press the button. Yeah, it's flashing. It's doing its thing. All right, press it now. Just straight up. Didn't work. I couldn't believe that there was so many of these products out there on the market. Time for some shadow work. This is probably the most viral product that I have ever seen across any category ever. Some of their TikTok videos alone have over 68 million views. A guide to integrate and transcend your shadows. Almost 4,000 reviews. They have sold over 800,000 copies of this thing. $40 million in retail sales. I'm gonna go ahead and buy this. Let's take a look and see what's. What's in this puppy. Okay, I've got some Carl Jung. The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances. If there is any reaction, both are transformed. There are multiple people all over Amazon and all over TikTok that are legitimately saying that this really helped them solve their trau. Seems like a legit product. All right, so this next product is the powerful wireless car vacuum cleaner was all over TikTok, all over Twitter, all over Instagram and Facebook ads. And there appear to be hundreds of sellers and drop shippers that are selling this product. But from the store that I found, they had sold 5.9 thousand units in the last 90 days. 42,000 bucks in revenue. And given how aggressive the ads are in this space, I think these guys would be doing well north of a million bucks a month in terms of the people that are selling this product. We're going to try to check out and see if we can buy this thing. I certainly would not like to add a tip. Just give me my product. Look how small this is, dude. And I don't know with this one if it's like a suction one or it's meant to blow it. It's not doing anything right now. Oh, no, there we go. That's not going to suck anything. Oh, that's a bit. Yeah, it'll work. It'll work on you. Keep. You think, like, it's barely working. All right, let's go harass someone. It looks like it's on a serious call. It's not even the same thing. Look at that. This thing was nothing like what I had ordered online. I mean, it couldn't even suck up a rubber band. This next product is completely wild. I have never in my whole history in marketing ever seen anything as wild as this. The stuff is called alphagrind. And when I discovered this thing, I saw it on a Reddit forum, and then I fell down this rabbit hole of this insane web of crazy videos promoting this product. Like, even for the Internet, daddy, it was wild. I couldn't believe that someone had the audacity to literally have a deep fake of Joe Rogan and Andrew Huberman and then Chad scale these ads like absolutely crazy. Now since then they have removed the video, their social media accounts have been taken down that hosted the videos.
Three signs your balls aren't producing enough testosterone.
These are some of the AI generated ads that these guys are running along with the Joe Rogan deepface slob all the time.
This right here is known as the natural testosterone booster. This is alpha grind and you can get the purest version of it in my bio. If your balls aren't sweating when you wake up in the morning, it is a sign that you are suffering from dangerously low testosterone levels.
They are doing, according to the founder's Instagram, 10,000 units per month and bringing in $747,000 per month. And they are shooting for $100 million in revenue. It also appears that the company got into a bit of hot water when either it was them or an affiliate that were running these Joe Rogan ads. So I will give him the credit and say 57% of people do leave a five star review. However, that's still low. Right? This is by far the worst product I've ever tasted in my life. And let's just say that I can eat crickets. The flavor in this product made me question myself about my life choices. Viral on TikTok. Redefined masculinity. Drink and grow rich. All right, I'm starting to get a little bit of mixed signals. Optimal alpha physique. Think faster plus clearer and deeper. Go from down bad to gigachad. Okay then. They have us already pre selected on a three pack. It's time to make men great again. Full blown red pill kings. Make the rules. Great product to have in your your gym bag instead of pre workout. So that's what this thing is. It's a pre workout. Why 30,000 plus hustlers choose alphagrine to unlock their full potential. I smell bullshit. I will get more done. I will feel better and I will feel a great sense of clarity. Let's actually check out and buy this product. Add to cart. Oh we have got some bad news. We are unable to buy this. The only thing that they have is delivery to the United States. States. Let's go across to Amazon and see if we can buy this on there. But unfortunately it is currently unavailable. We need to get this product and we need to find it. So what I am going to do is I'm going to order it to my US office and we are going to travel there to go and get this thing, and we will see if it lives up to the hype. So I booked myself a ticket to the US, Packed my bags, and hopped on a plane the very next day. Worth the trip. I'm gonna keep you guys posted. You'll want to hang around to see this one. It's fucking batshit wild. But before we land in the States, how exactly are these guys selling millions of dollars of their products online? Okay, so here are the seven psychological frameworks. Please, as a word of warning, only use these in an ethical way. Because there is a right way to do things, and then there is a wrong way to do things. So the first one is authority. They use borrowed authority, and they'll make claims like top, top Harvard scientists or billionaire hedge fund managers do this one simple trick, then we have stolen authority, where they will literally create AI deep fakes of Joe Rogan, Mr. Beast, and Elon Musk to impersonate that person that has a relationship with their audience and then channel that to the product that they're trying to push. Next up is what I call authority hacking. And that's when they use credible news websites like CNN or CNBC or TMZ or any, any of these gossip websites and try to steal some of that credibility to make the claims that they're making more believable. Strategy number two is reciprocity. That's when you give something to somebody and by doing that, they're more inclined to give something back to you. And that's where they will say, get a free gift or buy one and get two free. Another way that they do that is with strike through pricing. Everyone wants to get a deal by having a strike, strike through price, where you had the original price and you strike it through and then you had the discounted price. People feel like that they're getting something. Strategy number three is commitment. People want their actions to be consistent with their values. And you'll notice with a lot of these products, they're selling a movement, they're selling a lifestyle, and they're not selling a product. This is for men that want to take the red pill. They put a name on it. They say, this group of people, it makes people feel like they're a part of something. And when they do that, they're gonna have commitment to the actions of what other people are doing. Strategy number four is consistency. So that's when they hit you with cross sells and upsells and one click down sells. You want to be consistent with the first action that you already took. So they know they can get you to say yes on a smaller thing, that it's very likely that you'll say yes to multiple things and even larger things in that upsell process. Strategy number five, which is liking the more that you like somebody, the more easy it is to be persuaded by them. And that's why these scammers go to all types of lengths to create these very elaborate AI deep fakes, because they know that they're leveraging the relationship that that person has with their audience. You don't need to do a deep fake of some celebrity. You can partner with an authority and with a celebrity in your space, and then that will dramatically improve your conversion rates. Strategy number six is social proof. People want to do what other people are doing. And as they can see, hey, 5, 10,000 people have already bought this. That lowers the risk in that transaction, in their eyes, to actually buy it themselves. And it's not just on the number of reviews. They also use social hacking to find out what are the most popular trends in the market right now. And they latch onto them, and they build that momentum to show that there are so many people that are taking the desired action that they want you to take. And the last strategy they deploy is scarcity. When you believe that something is in short supply, the more that you want it. And it's something that all of the biggest brands in the world use. So the way that these guys do it is they'll show limited stock available, or they'll even use strategies where it checks for the available stock. And even the anticipation that there might not be stock available also increases the desire momentarily in that little window that even if it is available, will then increase the conversion rate. And if you use these things for good and you and you're selling something that is an ethical product or service, applying these seven psychological frameworks will dramatically increase your sales. Alrighty, We've secured the package. And now Alpha Grind. Break the simulation. Alpha Drive. Lean muscle. Boost Longevity. Now we're gonna try some of this shit and see if it works. Add 1 to 2 scoops. Scoops to 6 ounces of water. Mix well and enjoy the experience. I can hook this up. Wish me well. All right, let's go crush a workout with Alpha Grind. I need to see. I'm gonna break the sim. All right, so we just got done with a pump after hitting the Alpha Grind, and, man, let me tell you, this thing does absolutely nothing. So I didn't really notice anything. I still got a good pump in, but I didn't feel like tingly. I didn't certainly didn't break the simulation. I don't live in the simulation, so I can't break it, right? I don't live in the matrix. I live outside of the confines of the Matrix. Tricks. If you liked this video then you'll probably love this full breakdown of me giving MrBeast a 500 million dollar sales machine. Like subscribe and I'll see you in the next one. I Shilajit you notice.
