Does Teal speaking. How may I help you?
I was calling to get some information on a vehicle I saw on the Internet.
Yeah, sure.
It's a 2025 Chevy Trax.
Hold on one second. Let me make sure we still got that car.
So, number one, what does it really matter? He knows the car's in inventory, he sees it on his website, and now he's running outside to go and put his hands on the car. Why does he need to do that? He needs to be like, dude, you're going to owe me a steak dinner. It's your lucky day. Have you ever won the lottery? You got a magic rabbit foot in your pocket. Listen, Andy, I still got the car. Where are you calling from? But instead of listening to that, listen to this.
You still there?
Yeah, I got it. Yeah, buddy.
Hey, man. Great news. That vehicle is still available.
Where are you located?
Downtown Oklahoma City.
I'm from Tulsa. I didn't realize it was that far of a drive, so I think I'm going to look for one just a little bit closer.
Well, if you don't see anything you like or you're still interested, you know, don't hesitate to, you know, reach out.
See, this is where they get stuck. Okay. And what's your name?
My name is Teal. Like the color.
How long you been selling for Teal?
I've been here about a year.
Grab a pen. Let's do some training. I'm going to teach you how to overcome this.
Every single time, 100%.
Okay? I'm going to teach you, and then I want you to repeat it back to me. All right? So number one, you're going to start by saying, I totally understand. It's very simple. You always agree with them. And then you're going to say, everybody knows that you can't find the right car in your own neighborhood. That's the reason why they go to the Internet. Now, here's the deal. This vehicle, it's literally sitting next to the brand new ones, which probably the reason why you're calling is because you don't want to spend brand new money. You want to spend pre owned money, but still get a brand new vehicle. Wouldn't you agree?
Till I totally agree.
Okay. Now, the objection I heard you say is you don't want to drive that far. And it's not that it's too far. It's that time is your biggest concern. Am I correct?
Yes.
Yes. And when you say time's your biggest concern, it'll take you an hour and a half to drive down here. Now, let me ask you a question. If we get off the phone right now and you drive around locally to all the local car dealerships, and then you have to go inside, sit down with the salesperson, write up a deal, have the manager pencil the deal back and forth with different numbers, how much time do you think that will take?
A lot longer than the hour and a half drive.
Yes. Till. Yes. Now you're getting it. It's not a distance object. It's a time objection. I want you to run it back to me. Are you ready? I'm going to tell you, hey, Till, I appreciate it, but I don't think I want to drive that far. Go.
Okay. I totally understand that. Sounds to me like time is very valuable to you. Am I correct?
Yes, that's right.
Everybody knows that you can't find the right car across the street. That's why you're looking online and, you know, calling dealerships an hour and a half away. I don't want you to, you know, go to a 5 to different dealerships trying to find the same car that we have here and end up wasting your whole day. I can get this thing gassed up, cleaned up, ready to go by the time you get here. We could take you for a test drive and then go inside. If you life it, you could come in and be on your way in a shorter time than it would take you to look all around the dealerships where you live currently and end up spending more time and probably not even finding the car that you really want anyway.
Good job, buddy.
Hey, thank you, man. I appreciate it.
All right. Have a blessed day. See you, bro. They're so thirsty to learn. They want to learn. Every one of them wants to learn. No one trains them on nothing.
