A short YouTube transcript (Nate Tilley) giving practical advice to improve lead response time in CRMs. Key point: lead response time = representative response time + lead processing time. Recommendations: make lead processing instant, ensure leads are routed correctly (test submissions, notifications), include sufficient context on leads to avoid research/triage overhead, and create accountability to prevent sales reps delaying follow-up.

So there's a couple of things that you need to consider when you're breaking down. Speed, delete. And number one is representative response time plus lead processing time equals lead response time. So one thing that you need to make sure with your CRM or whatever you're using is that your lead processing time is instant. If you send in a lead and it doesn't come in for like a few minutes, that's really, really bad. Common challenges that you're going to see with speed to lead is you're going to see leads sitting stalled and unattended to before being routed to a rep. To follow up, make sure that leads are not misroute within the organization. Like submit test leads and make sure that they're going to the right person and that you have notifications turned on for that person. If you can work out some kind of system of accountability with leads, that's great. Sometimes leads lack sufficient contextual information, resulting in a need for research in our triage the leads for data. Yeah. And then after the leads are correctly routed, the sales rep delays in following up. So this is super important to make sure that they actually follow up.
