18 years old. Someone told me that there was a car dealership. You could make $5,000 a month. And so I'm 18, never had more than $5. I show up on my first day at work. They had a sales meeting, and I wasn't even invited into it. They told me to go outside and watch the lot. This old man pulls up. He goes, hey, I want to take a look at that truck. And I remember I just walked in. I said, hey, I need the keys. Guy handed them to me. We go for a drive. I don't really know what's going on. It's my very first day. I'm in the dealership for 20 minutes, and the guy goes, let's go inside and see what the numbers look like. And so I inside, he filled out a credit application. My manager goes, this guy's gold, and he gave me a piece of paper, and he said, ask him if he wants to do option a or option b. And so I came in, I said, here's the paper. There's option a or option b. Which one do you want to do? And the guy looked at me and he goes, option b. And he signed it. My manager goes, andy elliot sells tower. And he goes, do you know how much money you just made? I'm starving. If I just made, like, $5 to go get a subway sandwich, I'd be fired up. And he goes, you just made 1700 dol. That made me understand that guys like me had a chance. And I decided from that day forward, I was going to become the best damn salesman there ever was.
