SALES HACK: How To Manage Your Energy

Nate Tilley and Sabri Subhi discuss managing energy in sales. Catch slumps early before they spiral, build routines that don't depend on motivation, and reconnect with your why when energy dips. Sales is an energy-management game, not a motivation game.
Founder Sabri Subhi joins me now in the studio. I really look at business as an incredible vehicle to really like make good and make change in the world.
And just basically, I guess the whole thing about it is like what I was just saying before, like you have to catch yourself when you get in the slump off like last month, like everyone, like there's a lot of production that happened last month, so it's only natural to, to feel like a little bit of a slump in that, in that one week. But the whole thing is just to catch yourself like that. That training that I gave you guys over the last three weeks, that thing is fucking priceless, right? That is, you can't put a number on. I'm not going to say it's a million dollar training because it's a lot more than that. But I'm not just doing that just for fun. I'm doing that to give you guys basically the formula to go out and get what it is that you want, right? So that's for you just to police yourself and look at, look at those things. And when you do go through a period where you're like, ah, fuck, like I'm just not feeling it or I'm not having good conversations, or you just don't feel like picking up the phone and dialing, right? That's when you just take a moment, you take an hour, you take a morning, you take the evening to get in touch with why you're doing it and look at the goals, look at your vision board, think about where you're trying to shoot those. That's the thing that picks you up when you have a rough day, when you have a rough week, when the energy is slipping, is to go back and connect into the power base of like why you're even doing these things, right? And then that just forms the discipline for you to do it. Because if you just wait for that motivation to come on you and magically dawn and the skies depart and the angels to sing, it just doesn't happen. You have to create the discipline of like, I will absolutely do what I need to do in order to hit that number every day. And when you lose focus and it happens, you lose focus and you don't feel like doing those things, then you just go back to why you're doing them, right? The why is big enough. The how becomes easy. And you need to get in contact with that, that why and why you're doing it and when you're doing it. That's the thing that will constantly keep you going when the going is tough, right? Because energy, like the whole thing with sales, it is just a game of managing your energy and being able to, like, produce when you need to produce. And there's going to be times that you don't feel like producing. And if you wait to the times that you do feel like producing, you're going to have a very, very rough time. Because it's like those things that they come in spurts and you can't. It's not something that you can rely off to hit your numbers.
