Stop being the bottleneck.

Carlos tells contractors to stop doing day-to-day work and start building teams and systems instead. The shift from working in the business to working on it means you can delegate, free up time, and focus on what actually moves the needle.
What's the number one thing that you want to share with contractors to help them be more successful tactically?
Well, number one is that a lot of times when we're doing your business.
You'Re putting.
Too much time in the business and not enough time on the business. And what I mean by that is that as a business owner, yes, you might have to wear all the hats. Salesperson, project manager, marketing, booking. But you also have to wear that most important hat, that's being a CEO and that's being able to basically build a business that's going to work for you so that you could build your teams, you could work on your process, your systems, so that you could get out of the business little by little, transition, so.
You buy back your time and so you can focus on the highest leverage activities. And what would you say to somebody that's like, well, Carlos, I would love to do that, but none of these guys can do it as good as me.
And you're absolutely right, nobody's going to do it as good as you because that's your mindset, right? And this is what keeps you small, your mindset. You have to start by here, get around the right people, educate about, yes, nobody's going to do as good as you. You need to learn how to duplicate yourself. And, and by creating a process, systems, onboarding, training, finding good people and then putting that time on your people, they'll eventually do better than you.
