The #1 Mistake Everyone Makes In Digital Marketing

Sabri Subhi says most advertisers treat ads like blunt announcements instead of seduction. Build value first by nurturing strangers into customers with helpful content, not hard sells. Compensation correlates with the value you give the marketplace.
Founder Sabri Subhi joins me now in the studio. I really look at business as an incredible vehicle to really, like, make good and make change in the world.
Advertising, right. There's going back to marketing a little bit. Advertising en masse. Right. Moving forward. There's 7.8 billion people, I think, on the planet these days. What are some of the quick mistakes that you're seeing? Are we not niche enough? Are we too niche? Should we be going broad? Talk to me about that. Just elaborate your thoughts around what people are doing wrong and what people should.
Be doing in terms of the mistakes that people make is that people advertise with the statements merely just to project onto the marketplace that we exist and you can come buy our stuff. Right. They don't really look at all the things that are in between that. Okay, like what is. Like, what is it that you would need to say to a complete stranger to get them to want to do business with you? Right. And the analogy that I always use is like taking your prospects from Tinder to Netflix and Chill. Most people are doing the equivalent of walking up to complete strangers in the street and asking to marry them straight out the gate. There's no romance. There's no seduction. There's nothing that's involved in that. Right. Where selling is seduction. Yeah. So realistically, you need to look. Look at creating a sales machine that provides value to your prospects in advance of them ever having the chance to buy from you. Because otherwise it's just a wasted opportunity because there's so many people that you're going to come into contact with your advertising. Right. And it's, you know, it's basically like dead circulation. Unless you're providing value, there's only ever going to be a small sliver of people that do business with you. Right. Regardless of whether or not you provide value, that's still going to be the case. So why not create value while you're also selling and being able to help and impact such a broader part of your marketplace? Because you're compensated by the value that you provide to your marketplace. And I think that that's the biggest mindset shift is that you're not here to just make offers to everybody. Right. You're here to provide value to your marketplace. And you will be compensated in direct proportion to the amount of value that you do provide to your marketplace.
