The Cold Hard Truth About Achieving Breakthrough Results (Not What You Think!)

Sabri Subhi says breakthrough results require extreme long-term dedication and treating failure like it has personal stakes. He compares improvement to a subway system that keeps expanding, and advocates competing only with yourself while maintaining a "knife to the neck" mentality to force the effort.

Founder Sabri Subhi joins me now in the studio. I really look at business as an incredible vehicle to really, like, make good and make change in the world. How much effort should people be putting into, like, the production side of things? A lifetime is what it's taken me to be able to do that. Like, realistically, that's, like, not the answer that most people want to hear, but, like, yeah, like, it's. I put every ounce of my being into these things that. That I put out there because I want to make sure that it's the absolute best that I possibly can do. The only person that I'm competing with is myself. And every time that I put something together, it has to be the absolute best that I can do. Like, I always joke around with my team, like, the subway of today would rip the arms and legs off the subway of four years ago. Right? Like, there's no way that that old subway can compete with this new subway. Like, I'm on a whole different level now. So the only person that I'm really going against is myself. So when I. When I dedicate myself to a project, I go all in. Like, I throw everything that I've got at it. And then in terms of, you know, so that's the kind of the length of time, in terms of the length of effort that you should put into it. You should put. If you want a breakthrough result, you need to put in a breakthrough effort. Everyone wants a breakthrough effort without putting in a breakthrough. Like, they want a breakthrough result without putting in a breakthrough effort. So, like, you know, I lock myself away and I put myself in this. In this state that I call knife to the neck, where it's like, if this does not work, I will be beheaded. Like, I'm in the fortunate position that, like, I have money, right? I have money in the bank. If I run a campaign, and it's not going to ever be the death of me, but I pretend like it is. I pretend like someone is going to come and they're going to behead me if this doesn't work. Because that puts me in a position where the stakes are really high. Because unless I approach it like that, then that will happen to me. I will be beheaded. There is someone out there right now that's gunning for me that wants to take my customers, they want to steal my employees, they want to put me out of business 24 hours a day, seven. Seven days a week. There's someone out there, right? So unless you have that mentality and you're willing to put every single thing in to what it is that you're doing, you can forget about it, because otherwise you're going to go up against guys like me that will just eat you alive.
