Short YouTube interview (part of a Melbourne lockdown series) where host Nate Tilley asks founder Sabri Subhi about his vision and whether there is a point of 'enough' in business. Sabri rejects milestone-based definitions (money, team size, impact) and frames the goal as chasing one's potential—evaluating whether you're playing a bigger game and closing the 'motivation gap' between current state and potential. The clip ends with a production outro urging likes and subscriptions.
Founder Sabri Subhi joins me now in the studio. I really look at business as an incredible vehicle to really make good and make change in the world.
On that note, then if we talk about your vision. Okay, so the goal of the business, I hate this phrase, but when is enough enough? When are you big enough? When have you achieved enough? Is there a legacy piece that you're trying to create here? What's the vision?
Yeah, I don't look at it like that because when you say enough is enough, enough of what? What is it enough money? Is it enough team members? Is it enough impact? What is the measurement of enough? For me, I'm looking at, it's always about chasing my potential of what is possible. I get one life to do everything that I need to do. And whether or not you're helping 100 people in a year with one to one client work or you're helping 100,000 people a year, it's the same amount of work. It's the same amount of hours you're going to work every day. It's just how big the goal is. So for me it's just all about is this the best version of yourself? Is this what you are capable of or is there a bigger game that you could be playing? Is there something more? And it's not a milestone. It's about chasing what I, what is my potential and what am I capable of doing. And that's the thing that like from looking at where I am now and the potential of where I think I could be is the distance between those two is the motivation gap.
