A brief conversational transcript from a YouTube video ("This is what aggressive growth looks like") where two speakers discuss aggressive student acquisition via paid ads over a 90-day campaign. They estimate that to reach a target (getting to 125 students) requires generating ~55 new students in 90 days (~18/month), and with a $50/day ad budget the implied target cost-per-acquisition is about $45. The talk covers expectations for initial campaign performance (notable results in 3–4 weeks), staffing for outreach, rolling trials, and that contracts are structured as 12-month MRR.
Questions this video answers
Approximately 55 students.
About 18 students per month.
$50 per day.
About $45 per acquisition.
As far as like students and stuff, you got anybody like who works for you, like you got payroll expenses, like you got the partner. So right.
Now I have one guy that basically home all day and he says he's willing to help make phone calls, talk to people too, and people like him.
Okay, cool, man. So the ad budget, everything like that. So I mean, you want to give a campaign, you know, at least about really 90 days to shake out and see you're going to see success within the first three to four weeks. Like it's going to show a lot of good signs. Usually, you know, unless the lead process super high or the market might be trickier, you know, we can never say for sure. But generally three to four weeks, people start seeing more increases in their class sizes, more trials coming in, tons of beginners coming in. Of course, more signups just naturally start to occur as well. So I guess for you that it's like, you know, getting to 125 students. What is that? Or. Yeah, so that would be 55 students approximately, needing to generate in a 90 day period. So you know, divided by three of the 18 students a month. And if we take, let's just take a $50 a day budget divided by a hundred and yeah, we'd have to be at like $45 per acquisition. So every time we spend $45 on the ads, we should be bringing a student in and closing them. So well, and we're only doing the math on MRR and that's 12 month contracts. The cash collected helps with your offer, but also being able to roll over the free trial. So you just got to be super aggressive with acquisitions. Right now. It's just the season of it. We'll put some seasonal twists to it.
