This is a YouTube video titled "Why You Shouldn't Follow Your Competition" featuring an interview with Sabri Suby, discussing his business philosophy and the impact of his company, King Kong, on the marketplace. The conversation highlights the company's success in creating value and its innovative approach in the Australian market.
Founder Sabri Subhi joins me now in the studio.
I really look at business as an incredible vehicle to really, like, make good and make change in the world.
What do you feel that's happened in the marketplace since you've arrived? Do you feel that other companies, you know, like, I have no doubt you probably put companies out of business, which is, which is a good thing because you're bringing new energy, you're bringing new insight and a bit of, you know, shaking the industry up a little bit, you know, with what you're doing. What impact do you think that King Kong's had already? And do you feel that, you know, that you're spearheading the market in a different direction?
Because I know Australia is a little.
Bit behind sometimes, and I feel like you guys are pretty innovative for the Australian market, which is good.
Yeah, look, you know, I guess the way that I look at it is really, you know, you're compensated by a percentage of the value creation that you have in your marketplace, right? And we've generated our clients over $1.33 billion in sales. And the number. Well, north of that, like, well, north. But we've only been able to. We share in some of that percentage of the value creation. And you're right. Like, we came into this market, it was already a red ocean. There was blood all over the walls with fierce competition and really just came in and just beat the pants off everyone, straight up, to be honest. We've put other people out of business without people, all the biggest people out there, try to do a joint venture with us. All that kind of stuff, right. Has taken place. But, and that's all well and true. Like, I don't focus on the competition, right, because, like, if you, if you follow a competitor, you're going to step in the shit that's left behind. So we just focus on our clients, on delivering value to them and being the most ruthlessly effective platform on planet earth for helping businesses grow. And, you know, we know that if we can deliver that and we can do that job and that's the focus, that that will get us to the promised land by default is where just better than anybody else that delivering and solving those really complex problems, like, it's a really, really hard problem to solve for a business, which is turning strangers into customers. It's not an easy feat. It's not 100% success rate. It's a big, big challenge, right? But ultimately you're compensated by the complexity of the problems that you solve. And we're just really, really zeroed in laser in on focusing that problem in the best way possible. If you enjoyed this video, please like and subscribe.
