How He Made 36 Million Off 1 Website (The Sam Ovens Funnel Formula)

Nick Fisher breaks down how Sam Ovens built a 36 million dollar business through his funnel: ads to registration to emails to webinar to sales offer. Ovens shifted from guru marketing to a team-led educational model.
Forget Sam Ovens helicopter in his multi million dollar Manhattan loft. The coolest thing about Sam Ovens is his webinar funnel. For those of you who don't know, Sam is a consultant who went from working in his parents garage to making 20 million in four years. His is the type of sensationalized Facebook headline you see in your newsfeed and immediately discredit, but can't help but clicking away because you know you're sitting on your toilet and it's better than watching another video. Your cousin's children running around Chuck E. Cheese. Another millennial making millions of dollars with digital marketing. You think sure. Then you start clicking around, you find out that he's on Forbes 30 under 30 entrepreneur list. He hangs out with the likes of Tai Lopez.
If you saw my video from the jet, I was talking about my man Sam here.
And his multi million dollar apartment appears to be real and not some questionably photoshopped studio set that he rented out for an afternoon video shoot. Say what you want about his accelerator program, some have very positive things to say about it.
I want to meet Sam Ovens. I want to give him a huge fucking hug for saving humanity from the other fucking bullshit out there. If you're gonna do consulting, I'm just gonna give you recommendations right now for where to go get the understanding. If you're doing consulting, Sam Oven's course, bar none. Just don't even look at any other consulting. I mean, you can if you want. I know other good consulting courses. Sam Oven's course just has a super long track record. It's gonna teach you how to think.
Others, not so much.
The course is shit. It's total crap. It's incredibly basic for a business owner.
But that's not what I want to talk about. I want to talk about his crazy good sales funnel. I think Sam is a shiny example of smart marketing combined with great sales acumen. How much money does he actually make? I'm not sure, but this is how he does. Starts with social ads, progresses through registration, triggers a series of welcome and reminder emails and ends with a call to action. Back to the webinar registration. So step one is start with freaking good ads. Sam's not so secret weapon is that he's a great copywriter. All of his ads take full advantage of his rag to riches personal story. They incite interest, inspire the audience and spark action with a desirable promised land. And they're long, not quite broitry style, but they pack a punch and get readers invested long before they click the first call. To action. You can guess these ads work especially well with consultants, right? He's selling the dream private jets, BFFs with Tai Lopez. 20 million in four years. If the audience believes he's the real deal, they're already drooling. That's why authority and social proof are key at this stage. Guaranteed, the first thing people do after reading a Sam Ovens ad is click around to see if he's the real deal. There are many phonies out there and your brand has to be believable across search and social platforms. If it's not, the whole thing falls apart. So Step two is a benefit focused registration page. Just like his Facebook copy, Sam's registration page lasers in on quantifiable benefits.
I'm going to show you how you can start your very own wildly profitable consulting business from scratch and then actually get clients, be able to provide value to them and get paid in return.
The video is good too. Well filmed, well spoken and you trust this is going to be a quality production with real benefits. Notice the call to action.
So what I encourage you to do right now is just click the button to the right hand side and register for the webinar. Right now. We we've got a couple of times this week and you should be able to One of them should work for you. Find the time that works for you, register, lock it in and secure your seat and then you can show up to this webinar. I'm going to share with you all of these things.
He's billing it like it's a live webinar Even though it's 2020 and who would actually believe that's actually a case? Still, it helps set the stage and gives it an air of exclusivity. When you click yes reserve my seat. Now you're prompted to select the nearby time and date. Again, these are totally arbitrary, but they help with perceived exclusivity. One more important note about a content so far, at every step he has been emphasizing that his webinar is not short. He tells you to block off two and a half hours. Basically he's saying if you want the results he's promising you, you have to be prepared to invest time and prepares you to set aside dedicated time for what he has to say. Super powerful Step three is the Countdown emails. There's no way Sam is going to let you forget about his webinar. The following are the three countdown emails that you get from the webinar system prior to it starting three hours before, one hour before, and finally right on time. The rest of the emails look the same, with the subject and opening line customized per countdown time. From there, you click the link in your email and you're off to the races. So step four is the Holy Grail Webinar. If you click into the webinar before you start, you get this screen right here. First impressions are that it's a polished system. This is one of the reasons I like Webinar Jam because it's easy to use and offers a lot of cool call to action options that we'll see later. When the time comes, you'll enter the webinar feeling like an anxious comic book geek at an IMAX screening for the newest Marvel movie. After a brief loading window, you're hit with this epic opening video. It definitely sets the mood and gets your blood pumping. He's telling you sit down, buckle up and pay attention because this is about to change your life. I don't know about the ROI of a video like this, but if I had to choose between having one or not having one for my next high ticket webinar, I'd have one. After the video finished, the webinar begins. Let me preface the rest by saying that Sam Ovens puts on a bloody good show. I'm not going to dig into the content itself since this video is about the funnels, but if you're interested in checking out his webinar, you could look at the link that I'm gonna put in the description below. But anyways, I really like how he opens the webinar though, since we know it's two hours. He takes the time telling his personal story to get you invested before he moves on to the tactics. Okay, fast forward two hours after he's done taking you through his tactics and strategy, now comes the ask. What is he selling exactly? It's the Sam Ovens consulting accelerator program. More likely than not, you're shaking your laptop at this point and shouting, but how much does it cost? Finally, after reiterating the benefits roughly a thousand more times, he drops the pricing bomb.
And so here's what you get in the consulting accelerator program and the normal everyday price is six grand. If you were to buy this yesterday, tomorrow, any other day In a month, three months ago, you'd pay $6,000. That is the price. However, I'm going to mark this out and I'm going to do a special offer for everyone and for people on this webinar today only. I'm going to do it for $1,999. So it's usually six grand. I'm going to do it for 1,999 and guys, that's $4,000 off. That is ridiculous.
Then an offer pops up on the side and the clock starts ticking down from an hour. Here's another reason why to Love Webinar Jam limited time offers and call to actions. It's no secret in marketing or psychology that you should offer a deal at the end of your webinar for people to take action on. Even if $1999 is more of a permanent discount than a limited time offer, come up with something that makes everyone feel good. Remember, it's never the deal that you got, it's the deal that you think you got. STEP 6 the final email I mentioned earlier that the Sam Ovens funnel is a complete loop. I say this because after this you get an email saying I just finished holding the consulting webinar and I noticed that you left early. What happened? He bailed right before we got to the good stuff. The link goes back to the registration page again and then you're back to where you started. So some final words on Sam Ovens. Sam's content is so good that he's been able to build a name for himself in the consulting space by telling a compelling story, appealing to his audience desired future state, and by tying it all together with a great funnel. Maybe there's a case of fake it till you make it going on behind the scenes, as some has pointed out, but power? To him, he's a man on a mission to share valuable information and make a difference in the lives of consultants. So screw the haters. His success is what happens when you combine good salesmanship with good marketing, and he appears to have earned every penny of what he's actually worth. Thank you guys so much for watching that video. I hope that he enjoyed it. So just so you know, I didn't actually write any of the words that I was speaking right there. I was just reading off a blog that was published a while ago. It was written by Devin, so if you want to check that out, I'm gonna leave that in the description down below. Sam actually doesn't use this strategy anymore to enroll people into consulting accelerator. What he does now is he offers a free trial. So it's pretty crazy because I've never really seen any other course do this. So you pretty much sign up, you try it out, and if you don't like it, you can cancel it. And if you like it, you just don't cancel it. And eventually you'll be billed for the course. Right? That's how it works. And if you purchase through my link, you get like $500 off, right? Because if you go through his website link, you. You just got to pay the full price. So if you're interested in buying it, I would suggest using my link. But you might be asking yourself, like, why did he switch over to his model? And I think this post that Sam posted up in his community will actually answer that. Here. Sam says consulting.com has been and is still being transitioned from a guru marketing business to a team led education business. The company had always had great content and our students got amazing results. But the company was very dependent on marketing and my personality. We're restructuring it so it's more product focused, team led and organic. Once we perfect this model, we'll update the courses to teach it. Consulting.com aims to help people start and grow their own online education businesses by teaching their talent and running their own virtual school. Without being a guru, using social media and feeding the content machine or running ads. This is the goal. So, yeah, it looks like Sam's really trying to like, move away from like the whole guru type of aspect of the business and he's trying to run it more like an educational company. Right? Like, like actual school. So he's not really posting much content on YouTube anymore. I mean, he's not posting any content on YouTube at all. He took down Instagram and it looks like he's really focusing on making sure that the community is like the best that it could be and making sure that his team is like doing the best job that they could possibly do as well. So let me know if y' all liked this video. If y' all did, I'll keep creating more. If y' all don't, then I'll find out, like another format to do. But yeah, hope y' all enjoyed.
