Nick Fisher and a colleague critique ad copy for a golf driver called "SF2, World's Longest Slice Fix Driver." They say the name is too long and confusing, suggest using just "SF2" instead, and propose featuring influencer Mikey T. to show off the driver's distance and slice-correction benefits.
What do you think about this? Give me your first thoughts. This means nothing to me.
SF2, World's Longest Slice Fix Driver. That's a lot of words. First of all, a lot of copy. As a couple of marketing guys and a golfer.
Copy advice here.
Okay, SF2, cool, like little acronym or whatever we have going on here. You think it's cool? You don't have to lie. Uh. They might have a partnership. SF2 could make sense because a lot of drivers are called like F Speed or like the K Head or whatever. Yeah, like that makes sense. So this is version— World's Longest Slice Fix Driver. Slice fixed driver. Oh, I hate the concept. I mean, that's terrible. World's longest. Respectfully.
World's longest. D. Why longest? Why would someone care how long their driver is? Is it like a, is it a definition contest?
I think, I think what it's saying is like you're gonna get the longest distance while fixing the slice.
And I know the copy fix now. Who hits a big drive these days? Mikey T.
Times. Let's go Mikey T.
Times, 'cause that's my boy and he hits the piss out of the ball. Drive longer. Then Mikey T. That's, that alone is enough. People know him for long drives.
See, like, this is better already. I would be more intrigued by this than world's longest driver fixer slicer. Like, we're doing a lot there.
