Breathe Together Sunday - Barry West - July 19,2026 - 12PM ET

The recording captures a live Soma Breath "Breathe Together" session held on Sunday, July 19, 2026. Hosted by Piotr Ciepiel, a Soma Breath master transformational coach, the event brings together a global Zoom/Youtube community of over 100 participants who share their locations and current emotional scores. The session is facilitated by Barry West, an Advanced Soma Breath Instructor, and follows the theme "From Protection to Presence." After a brief introduction, participants engage in a 4‑minute body‑activation warm‑up, then move through four rounds of 4‑in/4‑out rhythmic breathing, interspersed with breath‑holds, booster (sip) breaths, and guided visualizations. Barry explains the mechanics of diaphragmatic breathing, the physiological benefits of intermittent hypoxia, and lists contraindications (e.g., recent surgery, pregnancy, heart conditions). Throughout, the host encourages community interaction, gratitude, and grounding practices (e.g., barefoot on earth, tree‑hugging anecdote). The session concludes with reflections, a gratitude challenge, and promotional information about the Soma Breath app, upcoming retreats, and Barry’s Instagram. The tone is warm, instructional, and community‑focused, aiming to shift participants from a protective, tense state toward present, open awareness.

I'm meeting— perfect. And it is time for our Sunday Breathe together with Soma Breath. Let's take a breath together on this amazing, incredible, special Sunday, the 19th of July. Seeing so many of you in this room just lights up my heart. And I know that all of you have decided to show up today and breathe together, be together, and also consciously activate the energy that you all have within. Welcome all! My name is Piotr Ciepiel and I'm a somabreath master transformational coach. I will be your host today. The absolute pleasure to be hosting this Sunday Breed Together, SummerBread, and the community. That means all of you. Can I see some love hearts? Can I see some reactions so that I know that you're all there? Okay, not just me here in the Republic of Ireland, in my space, in my room. Thank you all so much. That's it, that's exactly what I wanted to see, that the room just lights up. Amazing, phenomenal. Thank you all so, so much because This is an interaction, okay? You will be receiving an incredible journey, an incredible experience guided by the amazing Barry. And of course, I will introduce our facilitator in just a moment. But before we start, some of you already know the drill. Some of you, maybe this is your first time, welcome. Please put into the chat if this is your first time, if you're a newbie, just put into the chat, I want to see, and all of us want to see, this chat just continuously light up. So let us know if you're brand new, and let us know also where you're breathing in from. As mentioned before, I am in the Republic of Ireland. We are going through a heat wave here. I shall not be complaining about this because Ireland can have all seasons in one day. If you've ever been to Ireland, you know exactly what I'm talking about. So please put into the chat where you're breathing in from today. Amazing, everyone is sharing their locations because the beautiful thing about Zoom is that although you're on different continents, we are sharing this one beautiful globe, one beautiful world, and Zoom has given us the opportunity to share these moments together. And I mean this because it's so powerful to know that, you know, you might be there in South Africa. Wilma, hello from cold, wet, and windy South Africa. So you're in South Africa, I'm in Ireland. And then Barbara is in Brussels. We have people from the United States, from Austria, from Florida, from Tennessee, from Oshawa, from the United States, from New Philadelphia, and plenty of people also mentioning the heat waves. And this is the beautiful thing about Zoom. And with the music, the sounds, the quality of it, you'll be able to receive today's guidance, today's breathwork, and truly feel that you're part of something greater, a movement that Soma Breath has started. And we're so pleased that you're with us during our Sunday Breathe Together. It is 5 PM here in the Republic of Ireland, and it might be 12 PM Eastern Time or 6 PM Central European Time or wherever you are in the world, but we're now as one. Let's take one breath together, shall we? On 3, on 2, 1, take a full breath in and release the breath. Union, unity amongst people through Soma Breath. I hope you all felt it. I felt it. I got goosebumps doing this right now, and this was not planned, by the way. I always just go with the flow, just feeling the energy of the room and just allowing myself to just step into my fullest power so I can be the greatest host. Sending energy to you, Hillary. I see you, Hillary. Donna, I see you, Donna. Joey, I see Joey. There you go. Ah, amazing. So let me just read out where everyone else is tuning in from. Don't worry, I'm not going to read everyone because the room is The participants are joining continuously and you're in the waiting room and then we're bringing you into the room. And whoever is on YouTube, please feel free to click on the link and join us in the Zoom room as well because you'll be able to have access to the chat and then afterwards you'll be able to share your experience or ask some questions. So we've got people in the YouTube. Hello YouTube, join us in the Zoom room. So we've got New York City, Michigan, Montreal, Montreal, United Kingdom, Tennessee, Indonesia, 11 PM there, welcome Altheas, Berlin, amazing. I'm originally from Szczecin, which is in Poland, which is 2 hours away from Berlin, and Berlin I treat as home as well. We have Amsterdam in the house. Ah, Devon, first time, and I will be facilitating at a festival in Devon, third week of August. So I'm actually gonna be in Devon in the third week of August, a spirit festival that I'll be at. So hope to see you there, Anne. We've got, yes, Suzanne from Ireland but in Belgium right now. We have so many people from all around the world. Welcome, welcome, welcome. And of course, there's another thing that we always like to ask. What is it gonna be? What do you think it's going to be? I think some of you know, because we need to tap in how we're feeling right now. How are we feeling right now? So we always use the scale. Exactly, chat, we use the scale from 0 to 10. Sometimes we add 11 as well. So if you're feeling, you know, adventurous and put in 11, you can. Um, so just put into the chat how you're feeling right now on a scale from 0 2, 10, or 11? I am, I am— let me tap in. It's not about the mind. The mind will give you whatever the mind thinks you should be tapped into right now. But my body— I'm going through a little bit of an infection right now, but I hope I will be delivering a beautiful hosting session to you all today. But I can feel my throat a little bit challenged. I feel I'm a 7. I feel I'm a 7 because I love this. I'm already high vibing. With you all. So I feel like I'm a 7, and I know as well that this journey that Barry will bring us through will bring me also and elevate me, and all of you as well will bring my energy up. So we've got Sabrina as an 8, Pauline is a 6, we've got 6s, 6s, a 10, 10, Patricia's a 5, 7. YouTube, what's happening? I'm also asking you, YouTube, where are your scores? Where are you tuning in from? 'Cause I'm looking here at different monitors. I can see what's happening on YouTube as well. We got 4, Andrea, 4, Christina's a 4, amazing. So the main thing is, why we're asking this question, if you've been doing soma breath and you tapped into the potential of the prana, the energy, the life force, you know how life-changing and life-transforming it can be and also how it can influence and impact your state. So the number that you just gave in the chat is your current state. Without judging, without blaming, it's just as it is, right? You tapped into it. The breathwork experience, the guidance that will be delivered today, the music, the sound, and this community hopefully will elevate that state because we're all about LOVE, which stands for Level of Vibrational Energy. L-O-V-E. And we want to bring that up. And Soma Breath and this tribe can definitely do that. It can. Can it? Yes. Can it? Yes. Can I see some yes?
Good.
Donna is shaking, she's already like saying yes. Tom, good stuff. Carissa, let me just go through all of you here. Hold on a second. Why? What's going on? Charlotte, Corina, come on, come on, a bit more excited.
Come on.
Yes, Yolanda, welcome, welcome. Amazing. Yeah, I'll be watching you all. I'll be watching you. I'll be like, what's going on? What's going on there? Anyhow, okay, so amazing to see you all again. And Carissa mentioned, I'd say 5 because I just finished part of my online work. Welcome. This is your home, safe container for the next 2 hours, an hour and a half, 2 hours. The session itself will be about 40 minutes with the body activation and then the breathwork. And then we want to make sure as well that you— because you all have your, your Sunday duties or commitments, so you want to make sure as well that we're going to squeeze out as much as possible from today's session. So you'll, you'll receive the breathwork and you'll receive as well the guidance. Okay, so enough said from me, and right now What I will do as I keep going through the chat— sharing love indeed. Yes, yes, thank you, thank you. Amazing, amazing. So what I will share right now is the theme of today. So Sunday Breathe Togethers and the app session, because we have Somabreathe app as well, and we have Monday, Friday Breathe Together sessions, but the Sunday Breathe Together always brings the crème de la crème our incredible facilitators from all around the world that, you know, I'm so pleased to call friends. And so many of you know as well because they've been doing some LibriTogethers and they've been pouring their heart out and they've been really stepping into their fullest power because of you. We wouldn't be doing this without you. Like, truly, we wouldn't. Imagine nobody in this room. Like, who would we be guiding sessions for? So today's session, they will be guided by our, the one and only Barry West. Who is a Soma Breath Advanced Instructor. The session is called From Protection to Presence. Feel into that. Just feel into that for a moment. From Protection to Presence. It's nice to pause as well because this session with Barry's guidance and his presence and the words that he used, the way he channels, the way he receives the transmissions, you'll see as well that it's beyond breathwork. It's beyond just this kind of surface, which we truly are tapping into because we're tapped into our authenticity, vulnerability. So today, from protection to presence, and I'm just looking at the amount of participants in the room, and we have 111, 111. So we are here guided and connected. Amazing to see that. It's gonna be a session that I will let Barry explain. He will also— all of you that mentioned that you're brand new, welcome, mwah, you're part of a family right now, and I mean this when I send you a kiss and a hug. Barry will explain how we're going to be breathing. He will also be explaining contraindications for some breath holds because it's very important to know that you're safe in this container but also in your body. What you can do, what you cannot do if you have some of the contraindications. And I will allow Barry to just unpack the session that he has prepared for you because he brought this theme, this, this subject, From Protection to Presence, to you all. So let me just ask you all, are you all ready for our dearest Barry? Do you— who knows Barry? Put into the chat or just exactly just sent love hearts if you've seen Barry before in action during Sunday Beat Togethers or app sessions on Monday or Friday Beat Togethers. Amazing. Okay, a conscious breath together. As you can see, I'm excited because I just, I know that this is such a powerful moment right now that we're all experiencing in this moment life. Let's take a breath together and release a breath. Welcome to Sunday Breathe Together with Soma Breath. Barry, I'll be unmuting you and I'm giving you the mic. Please share the stage with us all.
All right, can folks hear me okay?
But just, just one thing, Barry, suddenly the camera— if you can just lower the camera a little bit because we're just seeing just a test.
I don't know what it is, this camera has like got a mind of its own.
There you go, there you go, we're happy now, we're happy now.
Like I said, stop it. Oh my gosh. Well, welcome everybody to this Breathe Together Sunday session. I just, as always, I feel so honored to share, share these journeys with everyone. And larger than that is just to really be part of this community. There's something right now in the way world history is presenting itself where there just seems to be so much, so much division. So just an almost an incapacitive, apparent incapacity at moments for people to find any sort of common ground, uh, to work from or to talk through about. And you know, the probably one of the greatest things about becoming an instructor and becoming part of this, of the Soma Breath Experience, is really community. I don't think that any of us ultimately heal or our lives really become whole without community. We are just wired— we're not wired to be alone, and we're not wired to not have some level or sort of transparency. There's a hunger built into all of us to be seen and to be recognized and to be known. So I hope your experience here today, if nothing else, is the beginning of the feeling of being able to show up authentically as yourself. And the journey is going to be an invitation to all of us, myself included, to find the courage to recognize the parts of ourselves that are clinging, holding on, bracing, And then through the power of the breath to gently begin recognizing that we can release that and that there's an energy to be found beneath that as we show up authentically as we are. So really quickly, I want to just go through kind of the flow of what's going to happen today so that there's no surprises, and then we'll get into it. Uh, so we will begin after I go through, um, a brief introduction to how we breathe in Soma Breath for those of folks who are new. Um, I'll switch over. We're going to all stand up. We're going to do a section called body activation. And because Soma Breath has the word soma in it, it really is all about the body, and there is an inherent wisdom in the body. And by allowing ourselves to really enter the body more fully and to become aware of our bodies in space and aware of our body in the world, we drop into that deeper knowledge that the body has stored. So we will do body activation. That's about 4 minutes. Then I'll invite everybody to come back, invite you to sit down in a place where you won't be disturbed, a place where if you're sitting you can have your hands resting comfortably in your lap. If you choose to lie down, just lie down and with your arms comfortably at your side. And so the way that— the way Soma Breath sessions work is they're broken down into what we call rounds. Our session today is going to be 4 rounds. Okay, where we'll do the same general thing breath-wise 4 times. So in each round of breathwork that we're going to do, there's 3 component parts. There's the rhythmic breathing section, can depend, 4 to 7 minutes or so, where you will hear, uh, you'll hear music, you will hear my voice in the background with a count. Today Each of the 4 sessions are 4/4, so that means you're going to breathe in to the count of 4 and out to the count of 4.
In and out.
So we're going to breathe in through our nose and out through our mouth. With the in-breath, uh, for those people who are new here for the first time, I invite you to, um, what we want to do. So many people in the world today breathe very, very shallowly. They breathe just from the very uppermost part of their, of their chest and their lungs. What we want to do is have what we describe as energizing breaths. So if you were to put your hand on your belly and breathe in, the kind of breath that we're hoping people will experience here today together is diaphragmatic breathing. So we breathe, as we breathe into a count of 4, We allow our belly to rise first and then the air to come up into our chest. Okay, why don't we try that real quick? And as we exhale, we exhale through the mouth. So, so our breathing is rhythmical, it's connected, there's no jerkiness to it. We don't breathe in, stop, wait for a minute, and then exhale. I always use the image, it's kind of like being at the ocean watching the waves coming in and out. So we're going to— we'll do that for several minutes and then you'll hear my voice again. We're going to simplify this down a bit just so that it doesn't take too much time. Everything that you need to know, you will hear described in the guidance that I give. So There's nothing you have to remember or be really concerned about. So you'll hear at the end of that rhythmical breathing time, you'll hear I will offer an invitation, say to everybody, now take a deep breath fully in, squeeze your muscles and hold it just for a brief moment at the top of the inhalation and then release again through your mouth all the way out until your lungs are empty. And hold at the bottom of the exhalation. Okay, this— we're entering into a period of intermittent hypoxia, and there's a lot, a lot, a lot of physiological benefits to this. Probably safest to say that we will— our most important question that many of you may have today is, well, how long are you asking? Asking me to hold my breath for? And the answer is, it's— we're going to invite you to try and move just beyond the comfort zone. So in the process of this breath hold out, and then again in a moment the breath hold in, you will always have the opportunity and the invitation to take what we call sips or booster breaths. So that means if I'm leading you into a deeper state of awareness during the breath hold out and you make that initial attempt to go just beyond the comfort zone and you're starting to feel like, you know, this is getting to the point where it's potentially feeling more uncomfortable, then take a quick sip of air in through your nose and out through your mouth and return to the breath hold again. It's really that simple. You can do that as frequently as you need to. And Again, no competition. You're not competing with yourself. For any experienced Sumo Breath person in the community, they will tell you that, that some days our breath hold time out is just shorter. It's just day— it's just life, and we're not always the same day in and day out. So please practice gentleness with yourself. And as I said, it's not a competition and it's not about— what we're trying to do through the use of breath is find these places where the breath can lead us into a state of deeper relaxation. So, you know, if we're like white-knuckling it, trying to get through the breath hold out or the breath hold in, it's counterproductive to what it is, why we're here and what it is that we hope to learn more about. All right, um, let's see. So booster breaths at any time. At the end of that period of the breath hold out, you'll hear me do a countdown. And now in 3, 2, 1, lets everyone take a deep breath fully in again, in through the nose. And here, I will invite you to imagine that you're squeezing the muscles at the base of your spine, of your pelv— of your pelvic floor. It's the muscles that you use to stop the flow of urine and just visualize or imagine or feel whatever is most comfortable to you. The rise of energy. This is prana. This is known as many different things, but it is the life force energy. And that as we squeeze those muscles, we, we encourage, we squeeze that energy to flow up our spine to our midbrain, and then we hold our breath in. Okay. This breath hold-in is 30 to 40 seconds or so. I'll invite you again in 3, 2, 1, release that breath through your mouth. You can hum. There's benefits physiologically to doing that. You can, you can just, ah, with a sound of relaxation, contentment, joy, whatever you want to do. Okay, then we will return. I'll return you to your natural rhythm of breath until the beginning of the next round of breathwork. So I think that is about it for instructions on the mechanics of breath. And let me just really quickly go over, um, what we call contraindications. Some people may be concerned about a health condition that they have and have questions. So slow rhythmic breathing techniques are generally safe safe for most people. Breath holds should not be practiced in any of the following cases: a recent surgery, epilepsy, pregnancy in the third trimester, a serious heart conditions like a pacemaker, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or a recent heart attack. In most cases, the practice is considered safe. So really, the greatest thing is we invite you to just listen to your body and reduce— to reduce the intensity of anything that we do to the point where it feels more comfortable and manageable. And as I said earlier, you can always return back to where the group is at, um, at your— just guided by yourself and by what your needs are. Okay, so I think, I think that is it. Let me clear my screen here of some things. I am going to invite all of you to stand up. We're gonna probably laugh again at Barry because his camera will point somewhere else, but That's just how it is. All right, all right. So everyone stand up, and the— what we're going to do here is just allow ourselves first and foremost to feel our feet planted on the, the ground, whatever it is beneath us. You know, it's a— it's, it's an interesting thought that throughout our lives, probably most of us, or very, very many of us, would not feel at moments like we're we're held or there's anything holding us. But you know what?
It's—
there's not a moment when we are not held. We are not supported. Okay. And then I'm just going to invite you to allow some movement in your body.
All right.
And we have got enough talking. All right.
Niraj Naik.
All right. A practice, a somabreath practice that we often do is just beginning to just kind of bounce on our feet. Just feeling that groundedness, feeling ourselves occupying the space that we're in here right now. And you know, there's not a— I bet there's not a single person in this room today that hasn't arrived here with something. Some people might call it baggage, but who knows, it could be a suitcase full of brand new clothes, right? But we're able to, through the use of the body and our breath, As we breathe in and out, just to a normal, whatever normal rhythm you're feeling right now, we begin to allow the energy that's all around us, that's in every cell of the trillions of cells in our body to begin to activate.
Okay. All right.
So if you were a sports car right now, you'd probably want to be in the passing lane and feeling that power.
So let's, let's move our bodies.
I invite you to just take your arms at your side, bring them up over your head. And just imagine that you're reaching the heavens, that your hands are filling with energy, and as you exhale, just bringing your hands down and that energy flowing into the crown of your head and through your body.
Shh.
You're doing beautifully. And just feel free in these last— in this last minute or so to just move your body. Give thanks to your body right now. You might not like every part of it, but you can still love it. Thank it for its faithfulness.
Thank it for all the things that it enables you to do and see and smell and touch and hear. Gratitude, my friends, is a powerful, powerful medicine. Alright.
Alright, I invite everybody to just, uh, Find a place where you won't be disturbed, sitting or lying down.
Alright, so I invite you to close your eyes. Just allow your body now— be aware of any sounds around you, outside the room. Just your natural flow of breath, inhaling and exhaling. We gather here Here today, and in our gathering, we create a sacred container, a place of safety and security. Where each of us can pause from the busyness of life, breathing in and out. A place where nothing needs to be earned. Not love, not forgiveness. And nothing needs to be hidden. A sacred space where nothing needs be forced away. Welcome it now. A place where our heart Our hearts are invited to remember how to open. And as we breathe, the love of already moving within us may once again begin to flow more freely through us, and we become bearers of love's quiet presence and its healing power wherever life invites us next. Let's get ready now to breathe together. 4 in and 4 out. All right, you've got this. In, 2, 3, 4. Out, 2, 3, 4. Out, 2, 3, 4, in. There are moments in all of our lives, those of us gathered here today, when we feel as if We're standing at a threshold. There's a part of us that just longs to move forward, while another part quietly whispers, "Stay where it's familiar." In.
In.
So today, rather than thinking about that experience of being at the threshold of something new in life, in Simply notice what that tension feels like in your body. Where in your body do you carry the feelings that you arrived here today with? Is it in your chest? Your solar plexus? A tightness in your stomach?
Less important is the names that we give to these feelings.
When we actually allow ourselves to feel, we bring all of ourselves into the present. And as we acknowledge these feelings, perhaps some of them uncomfortable, We're reminded that nothing needs to change. Your only practice is to become present to yourself exactly as you are. And now I invite all of you to join me in taking a deep breath fully in through your nose, holding briefly at the top, squeezing the muscles of your face, your hands, your feet, whatever feels right. Holding for a moment, and then releasing that breath out through your mouth.
Ah.
Holding at the bottom. And entering entering the silence, the place of your beginning, the place of your unfolding, the place of your magnificence. Waiting to be shared with the world. When you have that first urge to breathe, see if you can't go beyond it just a little bit, remembering your booster breath, that quick sip of air in and out. And holding again. And when you can't hold your breath any longer, in 3, 2, 1, I invite you to take a deep breath all the way in, squeezing those muscles at the base of the pelvic floor, squeezing in that energy, that prana, that life force that flows through you to rise up your spine, higher and higher, through your heart and into your midbrain where you hold your breath. And in 3, 2, 1, release that breath with a sound or sigh of contentment.
Ah.
Allowing your breath to return to its natural rhythm as we get ready for our next round of 4-4 breathing. In, 2, 3, 4. Out, 2, 3, 4. In.
3. Out. 2, 3. In. 2, 3, 4. Out. 2, 3. In. 2, 3.
Learning to stay. Learning to stay when Everything inside you at those really difficult moments when everything is screaming to run, to numb, to find some way, some way of finding relief. Instead of turning away, see if you can gently remain with whatever it is that your body is revealing right now. You might imagine there's a quiet door at the at the back of your heart. And beyond that door is every part of yourself that has patiently waited, not to be judged, not to be fixed, but simply to be welcomed home.
In, 2, 3, out.
So as you breathe in, imagine breathing in through the back of your heart. There's no need to open that door by force.
In, 2, 3, out.
Simply become aware that it's there. In, 2, 3, out. See if you can feel what it's like to replace fear with curiosity. Presence isn't something you achieve. It's something you allow. And now take a deep breath fully in, in through your nose, holding at the top just for a moment, squeezing those muscles of your body, and releasing all the air out through your mouth. And holding now at the base of your exhalation, entering the stillness. As you learn to honor the feelings and through your breath, learn how to just stay, to see if you can't Go just beyond that discomfort that makes you run. It takes you back to that familiar place that a part of you just longs to be free of. Taking booster breaths as needed. Going just beyond that comfort zone to the place of new beginnings where you allow yourself to be And in showing that love and allowance, you make room for another voice to speak. In 3, 2, 1, let's take a deep breath fully in, squeezing those muscles at the base of the pelvic floor up, up, squeezing that energy higher as it Rises toward the midbrain, and holding your breath in now. You're doing beautifully. And now in 3, 2, 1, let's release our breath through our mouths with a sound of contentment or joy.
Ah.
Check in now with your body. Can you feel how that softening of your grip on life, that desire to cling and not have to face things the uncertainty of change or the future. What happens is that grip softens and a natural space of openness for something new to emerge.
Begins.
Allow each breath into your heart from behind, like a gentle welcoming breeze. Can you imagine the soft swirling breeze entering your heart, the cool, gentle air. Perhaps it even carries a scent of sweetness that you can smell. See if you can allow yourself right now to open that place, that back of your heart, even 5% more. Welcoming these parts, these pieces that have been forgotten. But that have never left you. They too want to come to the table. They too want to join you in your journey toward home. And now take a deep breath fully in, squeezing your muscles, tightening, holding for a moment, and then exhaling—
ahh—
all the way out and holding. You might notice that with each breath hold out, it's almost as if you go just a little bit deeper? Did you relax just a little bit more? Did you find that life is to be trusted? Taking those booster breaths as needed. What a mystery it is that in those very places that we seek to run from, to brace against, to not feel, the same exact way as we fear holding our breath. When we release the grasp, when we find just A moment more of confidence. Life rushes in. In 3, 2, 1, take a deep breath all the way in.
Hold.
Squeeze. And release.
Shh.
Relaxing again into the stillness as we get ready for our final round of 4-4 breathing. In 2-3-4 out— 2-3-4 in 2-3-4 out—
2-3-4 in 2-3-4 out—
2-3-4 Isn't it ironic that the very thing that we've been seeking has never been absent, only obscured from our sight? We do not gather because we are broken and need fixing. We gather because beneath every layer of protection, every way that we numb ourselves in thinking that we can find rest, beneath every layer of protection. Your wholeness has always remained, has always been with you. Behind doors that simply ask you to find the courage to open them. Notice that quiet feeling of openness in your heart, of expansiveness. As you breathe through your back, through your heart, perhaps your ribs begin to soften and to widen your chest, opening with ease. Welcome each breath now as a gift. And now take that final breath all the way in, squeezing, holding at the top for just a moment. Moment before releasing all the way out and holding. And as it feels comfortable, Gently release that breath hold, returning now to your natural rhythm. Think about the rising or the setting of the sun. It comes every day. Faithful and familiar, yet no two sunrises or sunsets are ever the same. The rhythm is predictable. But the beauty is endlessly unique. Each sunrise and sunset reveals a new palette, a fresh expression of the Creator's presence. Emerging moment by moment before gently fading into whatever comes next. You are not a finished work. You are a living expression Something continually unfolding, revealing itself. One breath, one moment, one choice at a time. Can you stay present to the unfinishedness of your life while embracing all the possibilities that have yet to surprise you and to take your breath away with wonder. As you breathe in now, welcome what is quietly emerging within you right now. It doesn't need a name. It only needs a feeling that's being allowed to be felt, and the rest will happen. And as you breathe out, Release the need to know exactly what it will become. Trust that just like tomorrow's sunrise, what is meant to emerge will do so in its own perfect place. And perfect time. Namaste. I invite you now to just allow yourself to gently Begin coming back to the room that you're in, to the surface beneath you that holds you and sustains you, aware of the sounds outside, moving your ankles, your feet, your wrists and your hands. And allowing your eyes now to begin to gently open, welcoming everything that you see around you into the room. Perhaps giving thanks, and thanks for everything that is within each of you today that's waiting to be welcomed home.
Thank you so much for the guidance, for the voice, for the words, the emotions, the feelings. Thank you truly. This was by all means a powerful session, a journey felt. And I can see that as well, that you're, you're feeling it, Barry. You're feeling it here with us. And that is my dog reacting as well to the beautiful journey that he just led. Yes, this is a moment as well for all of you to slowly come back, slowly return from such a powerful experience. Don't rush back into life or back into anything that you had maybe planned for the day. Maybe this is a perfect opportunity for you to just take a moment and be the presence that Barry hopefully woke up in each one of us through this experience. Thank you again, Barry. That was beautiful. I'm gonna read out a couple of the comments that are in the chat. Please feel free as well to, um, type into the chat your experience, anything that showed up, how you're feeling right now. I'll be reading it out so all of you can resonate, but also whoever is watching the replays, remember as well that you've got access to these replays, um, and they're all available in the Summer Breath app where you have more of Barry. So if this is the first time you met Barry, Barry is in the Okay, Barry is in the app and he is part of our Monday and Friday Breathe Together. We're waiting for your Wednesday Move Together, Barry. One day, one day, one day you'll be moving because there's 3 different components. We've got the Monday and Friday Breathe Together and we have the Wednesday Move Together, and Barry has his audience and his journeys during our Breathe Together sessions. And if you want more of Barry and deeper sessions and longer sessions as well, they are in the app. So right now I'm going to read out the comments because again, if you're watching this as a replay, you might not see— well, not that you might not, you will not see the actual chat that is just lighting up and people are just adding more and more comments. That was deep and healing for me, from Andrea. So powerful, what a beautiful close. Thank you so, so much. You're amazing, you're a gift, from Brett. Um, Diana says, I've had so much uncertainty recently, this is gratefully received. Thank you, Diana, so much for that comment. Wonderful, so uplifting. Thank you, Barry, you got, you got it down. Powerful. From Gladys, thank you, thank you. I sneezed at the last round. I felt my tension vanish throughout the rounds. I had difficulty holding my breath on the first round, but I was more relaxed on the following rounds. Thank you, Barry. From Teresa, plenty of thank you, thank you, love it, love it. Uh, thank you, Barry, to somabreath breathing. Um, Can't stop crying. Thank you for this beautiful guidance. Remember as well that after a journey like this, and I, I mean this, and Barry can maybe share in a moment as well, uh, the tools that he uses for grounding. Because if you move energy, emotions, a lot of things can show up, feelings and a lot of sensations that you might not be tuned into. And grounding after such a session is so important. I mean, for me, even watching nature— I'm so privileged to have this beautiful tree outside my window. So I'm now looking at the tree and the wind just— and the colors and the sun is just beautifully kissing the tree, and I'm just seeing all the colors of green. And again, Ireland is a green country. If you've ever been to Ireland, you know exactly what I, what I mean, throughout all the seasons. So there's a lot of tools that you can use to ground yourself with, not only drinking mindfully water and paying attention to the food that you're eating, journaling, going outside and grounding your feet in the earth. Remember, the earth will take your energy as well. It's, it's a give and receive. It's a give and receive. It's a beautiful way for you to reconnect with nature and with the earth that has always been there for us, with us, right? All the electrons and all that sensations there, right, Barry?
Well, I've got to interject for just a moment. I've got to share a funny story that kind of embarrassed me. But when I was blessed last fall, the end of October, to go to Soma Breath's retreat and in Ibiza, Spain, on the island of Ibiza. And we did a particularly challenging breathwork session that brought up a lot for me, um, needing healing. And I was so overwhelmed, and I just— I couldn't talk to people. And I went outside and I did something that I've never ever done. I became an instant tree hugger. I went out, I wrapped my arms around this tree, and I kid you not, everybody, I hugged that tree for an hour. And what I experienced was unlike anything. To Piotr's point about the earth taking our energy, and I felt like all of my pain, all of everything that I was carrying, that tree took in and it went down its trunk to the roots. And was taken. So yeah, I'm a big advocate for the power of nature and healing.
Thank you so much, Barry, for sharing that. And absolutely, we had the absolute pleasure to be there together at the retreat in Ibiza. And indeed, from, I think from the moment, not I think, but from the moment I started Soma Breath as a participant, I started to see with a capital S, and I started to understand that we are all one, and there's so much connection and so much awareness that comes through nature. Like, nature doesn't hurry, we hurry. Nature doesn't perceive, or nature doesn't expect, we expect and we perceive. So quite often, as we can tap into that ability to be more one with nature and become more nature, then we start understanding that nature always has our greatest interest. Nature always is there with us, always for us. And quite often we as humans, we feel individually very alone and singled out. But this, for example, here right now as well, the community, the tribe, but also nature allows us to to see that you're never alone. There is presence and there's power in presence. There's power in nature. There's power in community. There's power in coming together and breathing together. Because I truly believe, and this has been studied as well, that through breathwork experiences like this, where you, Barry, coherently breathe with me here in a different country, with Donna, with Steve, with Wilma, with Chad, with Karina, suddenly, you know, imagine the ripple effect of vibration that we the Earth receives it. And we're all here to help this planet, to help the Earth and help ourselves, because we are part of this planet, we're part of Earth. So as much as you breathe and become conscious about it, the more you become conscious and aware of the planet. And that's, you know, looking at the tree, I'm like, the tree— I'm able to breathe because of the tree. How much gratitude do I have for nature? So Thank you for sharing. And I hope this also resonates with some of you when I shared this because it was such a beautiful session. Of course, I could not participate fully in the session because I was aware of the chat and making sure as well that I'm looking at the technical stuff behind the scenes. But I will definitely do that session tomorrow morning and I will let you know, Barry. I will let you know because that was very powerful. Absolutely.
I just put my Instagram Instagram, Breathe with Barry. I'd love to have people follow if it feels, if it feels right to you. Be releasing some new things for free on YouTube and, and other opportunities, so I invite you to do that. For those of you that have the Soma Breath app, I am doing Breathe Together Monday, one week from tomorrow, so on July 27th. I will be leading, um, I'll be leading Monday's session. So it's a great plug for the app. I, I, it just keeps— it really honestly just keeps getting better and better. Niraj has such a huge heart and such a, such a passion and desire to, to serve the world. So, um, it's a great place to connect and great, great tools and resources that'll keep you busy forever because it just keeps expanding. So that was not a paid advertisement of it. That was just from the heart.
No, absolutely. Same. Like, there is no— we're not getting paid to actually advertise or market more stuff, more incredible stuff that is happening within our family, within the Tribe. And of course, right now, if you are in Tallinn, Estonia, Niraj Naik is at Mindvalley for 2 weeks. He's DJing and hosting events. I've been there last year and 2 years ago, and it is by all means incredible to be participating in a session like a breath rave with Niraj Naik and everyone else that is there, because you can see the power of the breath and community and music, you know, all All the music that is used is the creation of Niraj and amazing musicians that Summerbird has. And of course as well, so we've got Mindvalley right now happening in Estonia, in Tallinn, amazing venue and amazing conference. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just Google Mindvalley University, you'll know what I'm talking about. And Niraj has been there. He also has a program as part of Mindvalley. Courses. But of course we have also, and then I'm gonna read out just two more comments because they're amazing, we also have the Awakening Retreat with Niraj in Austria, which is happening in August. So Monica, if you can just put in the link to the Awakening Retreat in Austria, because as Barry mentioned, being with this man, the founder, the co-founder of Soma Breath, because Gary is the other co-founder, and who sometimes hosts power hours with Niraj Naik. But being with Niraj in one space, you see that playfulness, childlike energy and joy that this man brings. And you can all probably vouch for it. You might just know him through the screens and through Zooms, but he's just so giving. He literally— you could probably see that as well when there's like an hour-long power hour and 3 hours in, he's still talking and he's still breathing and he's still guiding you. And you're like, seriously, 3 hours later, like, I mean, should I just block the whole day with Niraj? Yeah, you kind of do. You kind of do, because that's just the way Niraj is. But he absolutely is an incredible human being and founder. And so if you have the opportunity to be in Austria, or maybe just this is the moment for you to decide, you know what, I'm coming for the Awakening Retreat to Austria, Do come, um, because it is going to be life-changing and a full-on transformation. And Monica— hi Monica! Monica is our incredible customer support, um, she's in the Philippines and she's of course with us every Sunday. And actually, I feel like, I feel like she's 24/7. I actually feel like she's always with us constantly. Girl, sleep sometimes, rest sometimes. No, but she's incredible. So Monica, just put into the link, into the chat, the link to the retreats. And of course, as well, save the Somabrett website because you've got all the events, all the amazing promotions and sales that are happening to become an instructor, to join the retreats, the events, to avail of free masterclasses. And this community is growing. We've been seeing this and it's a true ripple effect purely because You all know this, hopefully, and if not, let me just announce this: we are shifting, okay? The paradigm of the old is gone. Thank you, old, you've done enough. We welcome now the new paradigm where we see more unity, where we see more love, peace, breath, energy, where spirituality and science meet and they have this beautiful dance together. They're just dancing. Science is like, yeah, I back you up, I know what you're talking about. And then spirituality is like, finally, we can talk about nature and trees and oxytocin and serotonin. So this is the beautiful time that I keep on reminding people. We live in such an amazing time. So if you have time to spend on Googling and researching Soma Breath, Niraj Naik podcast on the science and spirituality and the breathwork, please do. You'll be just giving yourself a gift. And it's been a true honor to be hosting this and also being a somabreath master instructor because I truly believe in this work and calling people like Barry a dear friend who I met in person and many times and I'm just so privileged as well. So I'm just gonna read out two more comments as promised because I did promise that. I can feel as well my throat is really now telling me, shh, relax and rest. There'll be honey, ginger, and garlic after this, okay? I love garlic, by the way, so it's okay, it's okay. I love the natural remedies. We had this one comment that I really wanted to read out. Pam, pam, pam. People are tree huggers. By the way, so yeah, you're in a safe container here. Hugging, I'm touching trees, I'm giving my thanks to trees. We have Barry from Jules. Oh my God, this was amazing. Thank you so much. It was exactly what I need at this time, Barry. And by tightening before the breath hold, I could relax more and hold longer and go deep. I look for your other sessions. Blessings from Jules. And Chad mentioned as well, thank you Barry, much needed as it's been a few weeks since I've been here. Yeah, I know Chad, I haven't seen you. Like, what's going on? I'll text you tomorrow. No pressure, of course, brother, but I hope to see you next week again. Love the music selection. Absolutely. Barry, any final words that you want to share with us?
Yes, just one thing. I mean, we talked about journaling, we talked about grounding. You know, if you can be barefoot on the earth, that's even better. Shoes kind of act— especially the types of shoes that we all wear these days— tend to be insulating us from the transfer that, that Piotr was talking about with the earth. So do those things. And, you know, just as a, as a final takeaway, um, I always seem to I find myself thinking about the phrase killing them with kindness. And, you know, I, I kind of invite you, challenge you to go out into the world today and to see how many things you can find to be grateful for. And even more important, how many people around you that you come in contact with that you can be grateful for. And every once in a while, I kind of embarrass myself in public. I'll walk up to a total stranger. I've I'm learning to feel more confident in the discomfort. But if I see somebody, man or woman, beautiful eyes, or, you know, their hair looks beautiful and they've obviously spent time on it, and I say, gosh, you know, I really appreciate this, and the simplest of things, and you can see a person just take that energy in and just light up and realize that You know, they're going to carry that into the rest of their day. And, and we have, we have a lot of power to touch and change people that we don't even— who we don't even know their names. So I encourage you on that front. The world needs, the world needs all of our hearts being open to help bring about the transformation that, that Piotr was, was saying. So thank you, each and every one of you. For those of you still here, um, you guys rock. Um, love to have you here in this community. And, uh, if you need to be in touch with me, if you wanted to send an email or something like that, it's just breathewithbarry@gmail.com. And that's, that's a wrap on my end.
Amazing. Thank you so much. That's a reminder that it's going to be a wrap for me as well in just a moment. But as Barry mentioned, it's not even the words that you say, but actually the acknowledgement of the other person. We forget that, we forget to look at each other. We forget to see each other on the street, as you know, cashiers, baristas, look at each other, you know, really acknowledge the other person, right? Because all of us are going through battles. All of us are going through challenges. Like, you know, and the truth is, the breath and acknowledgement and a smile can really change. And also, I always like to acknowledge, and I also like to just notice this one thing: observe your own breath, how it is throughout the day. When are you feeling tense? When is it becoming shallow? When are you mouth breathing? When are you nose breathing? What is happening in different situations? For example, when you're, you know, in public transport, when you're, you know, at a coffee shop, or Or when you're in a supermarket, where you're about to approach a person, are you suddenly bringing your shoulders up? Observe, become curious, become aware of your own moments where your breath is nearly like telling you, "Stop, pause." And then you can always regulate your own nervous system. It's all about regulating the nervous system, and the breath can do that. And then through peaceful, balanced, regulated nervous system, them, you enter that space of another human being and you acknowledge them. Hi, I see you, and thank you for the coffee, and thank you for scanning my groceries, and thank you. For what? Just thank you. Really? Yes. You'll be surprised how much beauty and love there is around the world, and once you start seeing it, it's— you start attracting more of of it, because we are truly the mirrors of it all. So by all means, we have one final thing that we're gonna do. She's been waiting, she has her hand up. If you've been here during our Sunday Read-Togethers, you know who I'm talking about. Can we all just give a lot of love to the one and only— I'm gonna just pin you so you can be with us— Diana. Diana, I'm unmuting you right now. The one and only Diana. Hearts are flowing to you.
Get them on react button.
Yes, yes, yes. Thank you so much, Diana, for being with us and breathing with us and sharing your love and your breath with us all. We love you. Thank you, Diana, so much. Can we all take one breath together and release a breath? Let's send so much love to every human being around this planet. Let's send love, thought, appreciation, acknowledgement, energy, and breath to every person, every being, to yourself, for walking this path, this journey, this adventure, this life. One more breath and release.
A breath.
