That is what I call getting high in our own supply. We don't need anything else that our breath, our body being in a community, right? Like this one thank you everyone for dancing with everyone. Okay, people in YouTube, please come into the room. You have the link in the YouTube page there you can just click the zoom link and be with us live with this amazing instructor I'm going to introduce. Before I do that, remember that get into the app if you don't want to miss anything of this. If you don't want to miss any live sessions, classes, experiences, you have to be in the summer breath appointments. You can download it for free. So Monica is going to share with you in the chat the link to join.
The app and let me know in the chat where you're coming from. Nice to see you too, Sandra. Where are you coming from today? I'm in Chile by home, so. Oh my God. I was in France in Nice. What amazing place. Really love it. I'm going to come back. India. Hello. Switzerland. Croatia. Denmark. Brussels. Salud. Netherlands. Australia. Oh wow. What is the time in Australia right now? Texas. I want to go there and eat meat. Okay. England. Norway. France. 2am in Australia. Thank you for being with us. That's amazing. Okay. Otaiwa and France in the uk. Okay. Florida. Okay. So we have people all over the world, but today we have an amazing advanced instructor. Let me tell you the this is one of the most amazing profound voice I ever heard in summer breath. Okay. It just gives me that sense of oh my God, like I don't want this to stop, I don't want this to end. His voice is just like an A to my energy. And he's also an amazing musician and he combines the breath with magic. So the void of Soma breath is this amazing guy. I never been with him in person. I will someday because I really love the work that he does and he really put together everything that we love about the Soma. Right? The Soma is the body, the soul. The mind is just not only as breathing is much more than that. Right? So his voice, with the way that he puts the words, visualization, the meditation is just amazing. So please just be really aware. Just open your senses to have this amazing experience and awaken the warrior. But let me know in the chat before I introduce what is a warrior for you because this is interesting how we sometimes misunderstood warrior with war, right? Like is it or not? What is actually your warrior within? What do you think it is? What do you want to awaken in yourself, to feel a warrior. Like I have so many past life as a warrior, believe me that I completely misunderstood that energy. But I can't really get it right now. Like when I want to ignite my warrior like my, you know, these beautiful women, powerful women. It has to be more about, yes, the inner strength. Like that. My presence, my energy. How can I really share my uniqueness? Because everyone here is unique, right?
It's that sense that I am unstoppable. Right. But I can do things with love. It's not that I'm going to go out and kick asses or kill people. It's about how can I expand my uniqueness, my force, my fire within in love. So this is the best instructors to show you that, believe me, I cannot wait to really feel this experience with him. So please, Dustin, come into the room. Welcome to this session today.
Hi, Claudia. By the way, you're welcome to Texas anytime. I will show you the places with the best meat.
I will.
Okay. Yeah, it's beautiful here. Hello, everybody. My name is Dustin Alexander Xander. It is really awesome to be here. I've been with Soma for many years now, and I've been loving this life indeed. And as Claudia said, yes, we are.
Awakening the warrior today. And for me, I've always. I've always had this sense that I'm out of place in this world. And it's that feeling of being a warrior in the garden. And so for me, life has been about how do I. How do I put this warrior mentality to everyday Life, to this 9 to 5, to whatever it is that I'm facing, to driving a car, to just being a human and feeling feelings. It's really interesting. But my background, as Claudia said, is, yes, it's in rock and roll. I was bit deep, deep, deep into martial arts. Studied karate for many years, studied Brazilian Jiu jitsu, Muay Thai, everything, everything competed. But yeah, rock and roll is my soul. And for me.
You know, you know how they say sex, drugs and rock and roll? Well, for me, I got stuck on the drugs part. And there's this thing that happens with creative sometimes where we have this desire to alter our minds because we may run out of that creative sense. We may hit a block and we. We may need to shift our mind from the.
It into a state where we can look at life like it's brand new and it's fresh. And then we can write songs and then we can paint paintings again. And it's a trap for a musician or for any creative to fall into the drugs because we can find that creative space. Although it comes with a price. This is black magic. And what I found with breathwork is not only is it healthy for me and making the quality of my life, way better. It's that I'm finding a way to get in touch with that creative space. Deeper than I ever have before, deeper than any substance I have ever touched, deeper than any psychedelic journey, any medicine ceremony that I've been a part of. It's been breath work that has been able to put me in that space where I can tap into the universe and hear that voice, hear that voice of the warrior, hear that voice of the creative, hear that voice of the guide. And for me, that's what I want.
To share with the world.
So that's why I'm here today. And man, it is so good to see all the faces. I know, I know some of y'.
All.
It's good to see the familiar faces. It's great to see the new faces. If this is your first time on Soma Breath, man, you have great timing. So welcome to the party. We're gonna go into some quick, quick.
Logistical stuff just so we're prepared for this journey ahead. And first, I want to step into the contraindications. So slow, rhythmic breathing techniques of Soma Breath are safe to be used for anyone and can be beneficial for all individuals. Forceful mouth breathing, prolonged breath holds and extended, intense, fast breathwork or hyperventilation for more than five minutes should not be practiced in the case of any of the following severe or critical diseases if it involves impairs your ability to breathe. Severe uncontrolled hypertension, usually after a heart attack, organ failure or late stage terminal illness, pregnancy, and if you have a epilepsy, pacemaker or a regular heartbeat. And all this with the exception if your doctor gives you specific permission, some conditions like tinnitus and hernias. And if you're a musician playing loud music like me, I definitely deal with tinnitus. Some of these conditions may be aggravated by forceful mouth breathing, prolonged breath holds and prolonged, intense rapid breathing hyperventilation. So careful attention to technique is required, which is why I'm here. So we will be doing some intense, some quicker breath work today. Nothing too long. So if you're new to quicker breath work, we're just going to be dipping our toes into it. And so I will say be courageous during this. Try to keep with the rhythm. You don't necessarily have to breathe deeply, but just stick to the rhythm. It's about the music, it's about the rhythm. It's about all of us breathing at the same rhythm at the same time, connecting our nervous systems all across the world. I do want to touch on some safety points. So you want to make sure that your body is protected if for some reason you skip off into the astral plane. So I say that as in make sure there are no sharp corners around you. If you're new to this breath work, if this is your first time doing soma bre, I will encourage you to lay down. Otherwise, I do like sitting up. If you know yourself and you've done.
A lot of breath work, you know what to do.
Sit down, lay down. It's your choice. I will also say that no matter what we go into, no matter what thoughts come up, what memories come up, remind yourself that you are the observer, you're not going through it, and that you are in a safe space right now. You've made yourself comfortable, you've made the time, you've showed up up. You found you found the moment to step in. And this is your safe space to let those memories come up, to let those thoughts come up, to let those unpleasant feelings come up. If they come up, remember, you're just an observer. Quick explanation of the breath work. So I'm going to play some music. In that music is going to be a count. We're going to breathe to that count. So last about five minutes. This will be in through the nose and out through the mouth. The first round is in for four and out for four. So you hear in, two, three, four. Out, two, three, four. When we breathe in, we want to expand that diaphragm. So real quick, put one hand on your belly and one hand on your chest. Let's just take a few breaths like this. We don't have to change anything. Just take a few breaths and just feel where your hands move. You can close your eyes, get a deeper sense of this.
Okay, now try to create a wave on the inhale where your stomach, your belly expands before your chest. And then it goes into your chest, so.
Belly and then chest. And then on the exhale, just relax with a sigh.
Belly, then chest.
And then sigh.
One more. Belly and chest.
And then sigh.
Great.
Just like that. We're going to be doing that to a rhythm. At the end of this, we're going to go into a breath hold. So we're going to take one last breath, exhale all the air from our lungs into a comfortable space. We don't have to create a vacuum in our stomach when we exhale.
And we're going to hold our breath.
As long as we can. And this is the space for courage and bravery. This is the space for the warrior. So we're sitting here, we're holding Our breath. We're going to get the feeling that we need to take a breath. I want you to hold on a little bit longer. This is about stepping outside the comfort zone. We find growth outside the comfort zone. We find our courage. We find our strength outside the comfort zone. Sometimes I count back from 10. As soon as I get the first twitch in my body that I need to breathe, I can hold on to anything for 10 seconds. And then when I need to take that breath, I just take a sip, let it out, keep on holding, do that as many times as you need. And at the end of the round, I will give a signal to take one breath, maybe three breaths in. Hold at the top of the breath. Squeeze. The pelvic floor. These are the muscles around your sexual organs, your sphincter. It's your perineum muscles. So those muscles that you use if you're in public and you really need.
To take a pee and you don't want to pee your pants, you know, like that squeeze. That's a good squeeze. That's a really good squeeze.
So we're gonna do that. We're gonna do that at the end of the round.
Okay, let's see what else I have.
On my list real quick.
Make sure that we got everything covered.
Before we step into the fun. I do want to do a quick stretch real quick. Let me put on some music.
There we go.
So I do want to do a quick stretch. I call this the good morning stretch. And it looks just like it sounds, you know, when you wake up in the morning and you reach up to the sky. And we're just going to alter this a little bit where we're going to time our breath with our body. We're going to do an outer stretch and an inner stretch. So when we reach up, we're going to breathe in.
At the top, we're going to hold, and we're going to warm up our pelvic floor muscles here. And we can lean left, we can lean right. And then on the exhale, we're just going to come down into prayer. This is a very slow exhale. Relaxing.
Coming down into prayer. Just like that. Okay with me. Big breath in, reaching up.
Holding at the top, flexing the pelvic floor, stretching left, stretching right. Opening up those intercostal muscles on the sides of the ribs. And slow exhale. Coming down into prayer.
Good. Bigger breath in. Expanding that belly into the chest. Stretching up, flexing that pelvic floor even harder. You can even flex your butt muscles and your thigh muscles. Just all those Muscles in that area, bringing that energy up, stretching up.
And then relax the muscles and slowly exhale.
Here we go.
Two more. Big breath in.
Reaching up, Flexing, stretching, leaning. This shouldn't be uncomfortable. Just opening up the chest, the shoulders, the spine, the neck. And then a slow exhale.
Okay, last one. Biggest breath today.
Here we go.
Big breath in.
Hold, hold, flex, stretch.
And then slowest, most gentle exhale.
Good.
Let's just take a moment here. What are you gradeful for?
For me, I like this saying, momento mori. Remember that you will die. And I think this is important, especially for the warrior mindset. Sometimes we forget how wonderful something is. And when it's taken away, we suddenly remember. And if we can truly.
Understand that one day we will no longer be.
Here.
It will give us a perspective that every moment, every breath, every interaction, every connection of life is a gift.
Sure, most of us, if not all of us, has lost a loved one, a friend, a family member, maybe even a pet. And we can feel how precious their life was.
It's these moments that give us strength.
It's these moments that give us perspective. To stop doing these needless, senseless things, cut the fat from our lives and move forward with purpose. Live a life fulfilled.
Thank you.
All right, my friends, let's get nice and comfortable and get right into this breath work.
This is one of my favorite tracks.
And I hope you enjoy it too.
So you can lay down, you can sit up. If you have headphones nearby, I do.
Suggest to plug them in. Get immersive. If you have headphones on already, you.
Are a warrior and I appreciate it.
Okay, now that we're nice and comfortable.
Let'S go ahead and close our eyes. The reason why we close our eyes.
Is to start to shut down the distractions from the outer world.
And another way we can go in deeper, move into the universe.
Just pay attention to our breath.
One thing.
And if our focus shifts, that's okay.
We just bring it back to the breath.
Start to notice details. Maybe feeling the air flow in around your nostrils as you inhale.
Or the way your body decompresses as you exhale.
Exhale.
The mind wanders. That's okay. That's great. Bring it back to your breath.
Bring it back to the feeling of that moment when your inhale changes to an exhale.
Exhale.
That apex curve.
Of your breath.
Feel what muscles you're using to inhale and exhale.
Good.
So this will be.
The way we meditate, moving forward.
Tuning into the music. Tuning into my voice. The mind wanders gently Bring it back.
And eventually you'll notice all these thoughts.
Are just passing by.
And you're the observer.
Watching them float by.
Breathing in and out.
Now we're going to shift our focus.
And I want to open up our imagination.
That childlike imagination.
I remember a time when I was.
A young lad.
Causing a ruckus everywhere I went. I didn't even need toys. I could just stand. Step into my mind. Open up my imagination.
If you can relate to that, open up that imagination.
And I want you to picture a warrior.
Whatever comes up for you, you don't.
Have to think about it too deeply.
See the armor.
The clothing, the weapons.
Maybe the sigil and jewelry they wear to keep them spiritually protected.
The fierce size, the awareness.
What makes this warrior powerful.
Start noticing the attributes. Are they strong? Are they swift? Are they silent? Are they tactful?
Are they patient?
Are they loving?
Well, we all know if we don't have anything worth fighting for, we're not a very good fighter.
And I think the most powerful warriors in this world are brimming with love.
The protector. The protector of the sacred.
Now, I want you to picture this warrior preparing for battle.
Gathering what they need to gather.
Maybe saying goodbye to their loved ones, knowing that this might be their last moment together. Memento mori.
I always love those scenes and action movies where our warrior is sitting and meditating and preparing for this battle.
That always spoke to me, which is why I believe I am here now, guiding meditation and breath work. This is powerful. We all know it's powerful. It's in our bones. It's in our blood. It's in our DNA. It's in our genetic makeup. Sitting here with our thoughts and our breath will prepare us for any anything ahead.
So see this warrior in your mind now. Sitting, breathing, preparing for the journey ahead.
Breathe like a warrior.
Let the breath warrior awaken.
We're going to breathe. In for four and out for four. Slow and patient. Nice and gentle. Here we go.
In, 2, 3, 4.
Just letting go on that. Exhale and relax. Breathing in and expanding the diaphragm. Letting go.
Nice and slow.
4.
The journey is long. We must be patient.
We must breathe with patience.
With gentleness.
Like an inner crevasse.

In that sh. Matching the rhythm of music.
Matches the rhythm of your heart.
Sinking with the universe's pulse.
Breathe in the courage.
Three, four.
Breathe in strong.
Three, four.
Out.
Breathe out here.
Three, four. In, two, three, four. Out, two, three, four. In two.
You're almost there.
A few last breaths, nice and powerful. Before we go into this breath hold. Breathing in a little bit deeper.
Breathing out a little bit more.
Start building up that momentum.
Start preparing for battle.
Start building up that strength.
Building up the energy.
3, 4.
And letting go of anything that does not serve us in this battle.
4. In, 2, 3, 4.
Let it go.
Out.
2, 3, 4. In, 2, 3,. 4.
Out 2.
And here we go. One final breath. All the way in.
Fully filling, all the way to the top. Hold here for just a moment. Charge it up.
And then slowly exhale.
Holding at the bottom, holding at the bottom.
And just relaxing. Letting the shoulders melt away, letting your face relax.
Quieting the mind.
Just being here for the sensations arising. The electrical current connecting neurons within.
Now this is our moment for courage.
Courage does not come without challenge. Courage does not come without fear. True fearlessness is a path of.
Inhumanity. We are humans. We fear and we still move forward.
This is the innate courage that is in our genetic makeup. If you need to breathe, just take a sip of air, let it back out and keep on holding.
But challenge.
You see, we all come from a long line of warriors.
Even your parents, your grandparents, your great grandparents, great great grandparents, great, great great great grandparents, on and on. Your ancestors have lived through so much. Through war, through famine, through disease, through depression. Yet still find a way to love, to connect, to create, to birth another human into this world. To raise another human that will then live on to survive and thrive and love and create.
This echoes throughout time and fractals until we come to this moment where you are here.
How lucky.
We are.
The winners of the genetic miracle.
My friends.
You are a miracle.
On the count of three, we're going to take take one big breath in. Holding at the top. Breathe in this energy of your ancestors. One, two, three big breath in.
Holding at the top, squeezing the pelvic floor. And you can push your breath from your chest down into your belly. Move your belly button in, Move this energy up your spine. See this moving up your spine, this energy of your ancestors, the light of your ancestors, up until it meets your third eye, that space between your brows, rolling your eyes up, connecting and sending your message to the universe. I am a warrior. I am here. I am courageous. I will face fear.
Good. And before you exhale, start to relax your body. Let this energy come back down from the universe, back into your third eye, back down your spine as you relax and slowly exhale.
And return to a gentle breath.
And.
Preparing for the next round.
Now we move forward with purpose. Now we move forward with strength.
We're going to move into a 2, 2 breath. And at the end of this round, we're going to move into a faster breath. Stay with me.
In for two and out for two.
Here we.
In two out two in, two out two in, two out 2.
Expanding the diaphragm and letting go. 2 Stick to the rhythm.
Out.
Become one with the music.
2.
Let the music tell the story.
Let your breath become a song in within the melody.
2 in, 2 out 2 in 2 out 2 in 2 out 2 In 2 out 2 Breathe in that warrior's breathe.
In the breath, breath of the ancestors. This is all the same air.
Breathe it in and let it go.
Two in, two out two in, two out two in, Two out two in, two out two in two out two in two out two in two out two in, two out two in.
Awaken the warrior.
Out two in, two out two in and two out two in, two out Two in.
Let the drums shake your bones.
Let your exhale become a battle cry.
2 in, 2 out 2 in 2 out 2 in 2 out 2in, 2 out 2 in, 2 out 2 in, 2out 2 in 2 out 2 in, 2 out Two breathing. Encourage 2 out breathing out.
Facing the darkness, facing the channel challenges.
Let your breath be your weapon.
Let your breath be your shield.
Out two in two out two in two out two in, two out two.
We're gonna move into a faster breath. In and out. One, one Stick with the rhythm, stick with me.
