From Wound To Wonder - SOMA Breathfest - March 28th, 2026

The live‑streamed Breath Fest 2026 session, hosted by Jason Mark Campbell and facilitated by Kyra Young, guides a global audience through a Soma Breath practice themed “From Wound to Wonder.” After a worldwide check‑in and a battery‑level poll that frames participants’ current energy, Kyra shares her personal story of childhood abandonment, narcissistic abuse, and chronic dysregulation, positioning those “core wounds” as signposts rather than fixed truths. She then leads a multi‑phase breathwork journey: movement to release tension, rhythmic diaphragmatic breathing synced to music, breath‑holds on exhale and inhale with pelvic‑floor (mula bandha) activation, and safety guidelines for contraindications. Throughout the session participants are encouraged to stay present, notice where emotions reside in the body, and transform perceived weaknesses into sources of strength and guidance. The host highlights community building tools (Telegram group, Soma Breath app), celebrates instructor milestones, spotlights another instructor, Sarah Justine Wilson, whose trauma‑to‑healing story exemplifies the program’s impact, and outlines the pathway for aspiring instructors—including application steps, mentorship, and a limited‑time discount. The session closes with integration suggestions (grounding, journaling, nature, app tracks), gratitude, and announcements for upcoming Breath Fest events.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Breath Fest 2026. This is our fourth session, and we've been on high energy throughout the weekend so far. And my God, we have people from around the world tuning as we do these sessions at different times. So let's do a check-in. Where's everybody tuning in from? For those who are joining in— oh, I forgot to set this one up from the last presentation, so hold on on letting me know where you're coming in from. I'll make sure that I get to bring this up and I get to see all of you on my little presentation. In the meantime, I want to say my name is Jason Mark Campbell. Super excited to be your host throughout this Breath Fest that we are doing all weekend as a celebration of our 8 years of having our instructor trainings, bringing the message, bringing the healing, bringing the methodology of Soma Breath to every corner of the world as we have our instructors that we're empowering for them to be successful while they go and do classes, work with people one-on-one. And truly make an impact in a way that we cannot do alone, but we do with our tribe. There's tons of you who have had your very first Soma Breath experience on this summit itself. And if you've already had one breath session with Soma Breath, we can consider you a Somi, and you will now have access to this tool. If you haven't already joined our Telegram group, I'm going to ask our team member to go ahead and add you to the Telegram group. We'll put a link right now in the chat. So Monica, if you have a chance, drop that link to the Telegram group so we can bring everybody together and we'll get a chance to see everyone connect where we share more feedback from the sessions. We get a chance to continue to connect even beyond this. So see the link in the chat right now. Click on that. If you don't have Telegram, it's a great messaging tool that I highly encourage you to use. It really allows you to be able to stay connected while also honoring our privacy in the process. We're going to have an incredible instructor that's going to be joining us today. And before I bring her on, I'm going to make sure that I can see where everybody is tuning in from. So let me see if my little technology is working. I think it is. So I did ask you to share where you're tuning in from. Please do so now, even if you've done it before, as I just added a cool tool that's going to make sure that I can bring up the world map and we can see everybody tuning in from everywhere. So type in the city, the country, wherever it is that you are, and let's have a look at where where people are tuning in from. I'm seeing a cluster there in Europe, the UK, I believe France. We have Germany, maybe Poland here. Going a little more east, we have, I believe that would be Sweden that's popping in as well. Somebody tuning in from Thailand. We have someone, I believe that's Sydney, Australia. My God, that would be 1 in the morning. So tipping my hat to you. South Africa coming up. And in the Americas, I am seeing, I believe Dominican Republic, Mexico, or Ecuador, uh, or Nicaragua perhaps. We have America, we have Canada, East Coast, West Coast. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome! I absolutely love this tool where we all get to interact together. Gonna keep a little look here on the chat, and I see— my God, people from Norway coming in! 2 AM for Australia. So Leanne, good to see you tune in. You know we have sessions at various hours, but we do appreciate you joining in for this one. Mm. Now I'm going to ask the question that I love asking at the beginning to see who is tuning in. So if this is your very first Soma Breath experience, just type in 1 in the chat. If you've done a session on this week or you've regularly been doing it, you can press 2. And if you're already an instructor or on the path to become one, do let us know so we get an idea of who's on the call, and that'll give us a great idea of how to tailor this session for everybody here. And I will say this is the biggest shift I've seen on session number 4 because I believe all of you have had at least one session over this weekend where instead of being 70% new to Soma Breath, it looks like we're closer to having 60% of you who are now regulars. And so welcome to the tribe, guys. It's amazing to see you here. And one of the things that we've done every single time we've done these sessions is we've actually measured how everybody is feeling so we can see, are we providing results for you? Are we seeing transformation happen? And that's going to be the next question I'm going to ask you now. So I will say hold off on putting numbers in the chat for just a second because I'm going to ask this next question. One of the big things Niraj Naik, founder of Soma Breath, has mentioned is how most of us are operating at 20% batteries and we think that this is the normal way to operate. We have so much more energy within us that we can unlock, and using the power of the techniques with Soma Breath, we we can help you charge up in a powerful way. So let's see what we can do over the session. What is your current battery level? If you type in 1, your battery is empty. If you type in 10, your battery is full. So take a moment here to give us a rating from 1 to 10 of where your battery lies, and we're gonna see where we're starting off from because what we're trying to do is make sure that we get to supercharge everyone who is on the call with the power of the breath, whether you're tuning in in the morning or in the evening. It's all perfect because we're going to make sure that you're going through a healing experience. You're going to go through a powerful session here, and my God, you're in for a treat. We have Kyra Young, who's going to be our facilitator today, helping you take whatever wounds we have and turn them into something that really lets us break through. She's going to share a lot more about that, but you're going to have a beautiful session. And we are sitting at a 5.4. Now I'm going to save this so that we can come back to it at the end of the session and we'll get a chance to see what is going on. All right, now you've noticed I'm someone that loves interacting with each and every one of you, so I'm going to have one more question to ask you. So for those who have tuned in to one session at least over BreathFest, I would love for you to share in the chat, how are the sessions so far? What has been your highlight? What is something you've felt or something you've enjoyed? I would just want to gather a bit of feedback. So let's, let's see. Let's see if this is working. I'm seeing here, I'm addicted to Soma Breathing. Thank you for creating this space. Jen, this is exactly why we do this. We wanted to make sure that you are finding yourself with a very positive habit that gets you to feel amazing. I see Jessica sharing how transformational it is. Nico has been here for all 3 of them and now for number 4. We'll see if you get to attend each and every one of them. As we are going on quite the marathon. Me and Monica, who are working behind the stage, we are on all of them, so we're having a good time. 11 PM here in Bali, Indonesia. Hmm, and that is perfectly fine. I mean, if I have to stay late to do a breathwork session, we are good to go. Amazing. So my breathwork gives me the best feel-good tingles, emotional release, clarity, all in one. Amazing. And motivation to reach my goals, and I know I can do Fantastic. True bliss after Steve's session. Kira has changed my life with her. So Matt here has already worked with Kira, so he's already getting you a taste of what's about to happen in your session today. I love what the Samsung is saying. Meeting my younger self and giving her the love she needed. An oxygen reaching all my cells and energizing me. Samsung, we— maybe you've met, you know, Samsung Galaxy 9, which is your younger self, and now you're like Samsung Galaxy 23. If you are a piece of technology appreciating breathwork and recharging your literal batteries, we appreciate that too. I'm just kidding. I know you're human, but I'm— I love making cheeky jokes. All right, ladies and gentlemen, once again, the big thing that we are doing is we're bringing you all sorts of different instructors who are coming here to lead these sessions. If you're— this is your absolute first one, you're in for a treat. And if you've been to any of the previous ones, you know that each of them have been quite unique. See, they all have had a theme, and you all get to experience Soma Breath through the lens of our instructor. And what's beautiful about that is no instructor is the same, and you're going to see you might resonate with one or the other, and they're all doing it in their own style. And for those on a path of becoming an instructor, I hope that this is giving you the vision and the wisdom of seeing that as you become an instructor, you will craft your style of instruction of Soma Breath sessions so that it really fits what you're trying to achieve. Because I've had some people reach out to me and they're like, wow, it sounds like Soma Breath works really good in groups, but we have other instructors who work exclusively one-on-one. We have some that work with retreats, and we really support our instructors on being successful and crafting a business plan that makes sense for them for what looking to achieve. For those who want to become instructors, this will be the absolute best time to do so. We are running an annual sale in parallel with our anniversary, and so you're going to get a chance to book a call with our amazing team members. Kira might actually be the one you speak with in the process, where they want to get to know you, know your why, and see how we can support you becoming an instructor. So if you haven't booked your call yet, I'll have Monica post in a link link, so you can go ahead and fill the application. Keep that link handy, and you'll get to have an amazing conversation with one of our team members who will look at what you're looking to achieve. All right, now who's ready for a breathwork session? Just type into the chat, I'm ready, and I'm going to take a moment here to introduce our lovely Kira Young, who's going to be our facilitator for today. I love her journey where she was working in a completely different field, working with VIPs actually working on the seas. I'm sure she'll share you a little bit more about that. And then found herself being able to discover Soma Breath, take the plunge, redesign her life completely, and now gets to lead sessions with breathwork, gets to talk with up-and-coming instructors as well, and guides these incredible sessions in the process. She's going to be able to help us take the wounds we have and transform them into beautiful spaces that gets us to grow, and you're going to hear so much more about that And this will be the perfect opportunity for me to do the final thing I do before I introduce her, which is teaching you how to use the react button. So on the screen you will see a react button, and I want you all to mash that with either hearts, claps, thumbs up as we build the anticipation to bring Keira to the stage. Keira, welcome. It's a pleasure to have you, and the floor is yours.
Hello everyone. Welcome in. And for those of you joining in Australia, I have absolute, um, yeah, credit for you today. I don't know if I could do it at that time in the morning. Um, thank you for introducing me, Jason. Soma Breath completely changed my life, and some of you may have heard my story at some point, but I don't really go into depth about the start of it. I talk about working on yachts, I talk about having an autoimmune condition, my life being derailed but I don't talk about what came before, and today I really wanted to. Um, I was abandoned by my father when I was 2 years old, right? And then my mum married a narcissist, and I got, uh, I went through years and years of narcissistic abuse for— from the age of 7 to 30. All right, so I had a lot of hypervigilance. I was very much on edge all of the time. Okay, I was scouting for danger, but I actually had no idea that that was what was happening. I didn't realize I was in dysregulation. I just thought that was my personality. I thought I was an overthinker. I thought I was really quite scatty, as a lot of people used to call me. And when your dad abandons you and your stepdad kind of tells you you're too much. You get stuck with these core wounds, all right? And these core wounds are that you don't feel that you're enough, or you don't feel that you're— you know, you don't feel you're enough, or you feel like you're too much. And then you go through life feeling like you don't fit in, like you don't belong. And I know so many of you can relate to that feeling, all right? These core wounds. And I was running a retreat a couple of years ago, and a guy, Jamie, who's actually another Soma Breath instructor, came along to this session to shadow me. And one of the things he said in this session just stuck with me so much. He said, we as human beings believe that our gifts are common and our problems are unique. And this isn't his quote, it's a quote you might have heard. But actually what the truth is, is that our gifts are unique and our problems are common. All right. And Breathwork was a tool that liberated me. It liberated me in so many ways because not only did it allow me to regulate, it then also allowed me to access my truth, and then it allowed me to learn to live from it. All right, and that was what this journey was for me. It was a journey of discovery, it was a journey of regulation, it was a journey of finding myself, and This is what breathwork can do for you. I always say to people, I found the keys to my soul through the power of my breath. And today's session is really about that. It's about— it's called From Wound to Wonder for a reason. I wanted to identify these wounds that we often think define us, but really talk about how they can actually direct us to something greater, to a place of alignment, to a place of strength, to a place of true direction and to the fullest expression of ourselves. So today's session is really going to be asking you to look inwards, and I know it can be a little bit uncomfortable, but the whole point of this journey today is to really understand that these are not your truths, but they are something that you can use as signposts. It shows you the direction that you want to head in. It shows you where you need more depth, more awareness, more sensitivity. It's a beautiful journey to go on, and it's something that's such a shared experience for all of us. Because at the end of the day, I mean, pop in the chat now, who's felt like they don't belong before? Type me, because I don't feel like I'm alone in this. Me, me, me, me, me. Yeah, absolutely. This is a universal feeling, but yet we feel so isolated within it. And so these spaces where we start to open this up and really help others to understand that we don't need to be alone in this— and sometimes it's just indicating that we're in the wrong spaces, we're with the wrong people, all right? And this is what's so beautiful about this Soma Breath community. Because we get to come together and we get to meet other people, and then we feel less alone. We feel less like the black sheep of the family. We feel a little bit more seen, a little bit more heard, a little bit more supported. And this is what soma breath did for me. When I found soma breath, I ended up doing a live session in person at a wellness festival with an amazing instructor, Laura Bentley. She goes by Dragonfly Wellness. And it changed my life. And I knew I had to change others. So that was my journey. I quit my job on yachts. I changed everything. Everyone thinks I'm batshit crazy, but I don't care because I feel like me. So that is the best thing that I can say to you guys. And I just want to guide you back home to you because we all deserve to feel comfortable in our own skin. So today's session, I am going to be doing a little bit of movement first of all, because if you know me or you've met me, you'll know I love to move. This is also something I used to hate. I used to hate it so much because I didn't feel comfortable in my own skin at all. And I remember going to an ecstatic dance workshop once And the instructor said, the way that you move on the dance floor symbolizes a lot of the way that you move in life. And I remember thinking, oh my gosh, he's so right. When you feel uncomfortable and you feel like everybody's looking at you, often that's the way that you feel in life. When you feel like you can't quite find your rhythm, that's often the way that you feel in life. All right, when you're scared to be seen, to be witnessed in your own authentic movement, it's often how that is reflected in life. So today we're going to start with some movement, and I just encourage you to close the eyes if it feels good for you and feel how the music wants to interact with you, like from an authentic, true standpoint. Notice how that energy wants to move through you, okay? Notice how it wants to be expressed. I'm going to give you complete freedom with We're then going to move on to the breathwork, and the breathwork is going to be 3 rounds today. Okay, there's some beautiful new music on, uh, on the Big Community. For those of you that are instructors, check out the new track. I'm using it today, um, it's pretty amazing. Um, and if you haven't done Soma Breath before, or you have done Soma Breath before, at Soma Breath we breathe in rounds. Okay, and each round has 3 components. We breathe in a rhythm along to music, in through the nose and out through the mouth diaphragmatically. Okay, in and out with no pause between your inhale and your exhale. If you want to just do a quick breath test with me to make sure that we're breathing into our diaphragms, that would be amazing as well. So if you can just take a moment to just place one hand on your stomach and the other hand on your chest chest, and just close down your eyes. Just allow yourself to land for a moment, and then take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale out. Breathe in and out. Now you want to make sure that the hand on your belly is the first to rise, and if it's the hand on your chest, don't worry, there's no right or wrong, but we want to be breathing diaphragmatically today. Okay, so imagine that you've got nostrils on your back. Okay, you want to kind of feel that belly rise. That's how we're breathing. Don't be afraid to hear the sound of your exhale when you breathe. Create that ocean wave, but don't force it. Don't create any tension. All right, the breath that we use at Soma Breath is meant to be really nourishing. It's meant to feel good for the body, so allow it to feel good in your system. So we're breathing in through the nose, out through the mouth, to a count. After each round of rhythmical breathing, there's going to be a breath retention phase, okay? And I'm going to guide you to take a deep breath in through your nose, and then we're going to let go all the way out through our mouth, okay? Through pursed lips. At this point, I'm going to make you become a balloon, okay? And like, imagine you're a balloon just letting that air seep out. You know when you've got the little bit at the end of the balloon and you just go That's how you want to release. Okay, find your sweet spot at the end of that exhale. Hold your breath. Okay, it's about 98, 99% of the air gone. All right, don't get to a point where you're doing this. It's going to be uncomfortable. You've probably heard me say that before if you've done a session with me before, but some people do do that and it's very uncomfortable. So just find a sweet spot, hold your breath for as long as you can. Okay, now if you're new to the practice or you're fairly new to the practice, you might find this breath hold a little bit hard to start with. All right, it's very normal. Number of different things: you might not have the oxygen efficiency, the lung capacity, the CO2 tolerance yet. Breathwork is a practice, okay? The clue is in the title— breathwork. It actually gets easier as you go through this process, and you're going to find that with a consistent practice. This. It's also about regulating the nervous system, because when the nervous system is dysregulated, the ego is a lot louder and it starts shouting at you, trying to protect you. All right, you are absolutely fine, but if you need to take a small recovery sip at any point when you're in that breath hold on the exhale, just do a quick and straight back out. Okay, you can do a few of these. All right, but if it does feel too uncomfortable and you're really in a place of pain, please remember that you're in control of your body. You know your body best. If you need to go back to your natural breathing pattern, please do so. But we're going to hold for as long as we can after full exhalation. And then when I guide you to do so, we're going to take a deep breath fully in through the nose, and we're going to hold our breath at the top of the inhale. Okay, and at the top of the inhale, we're going to squeeze our pelvic floor. So we're going to activate the sphincter muscles. All right, the same muscles that we utilize to hold in a wee or a fart. Okay, there's always going to be some giggles. It doesn't matter how old we get, we always giggle at that. Me too. So feel free to add a little bit of a giggle and a bit of joy, but that's going to help you to understand how to isolate those muscles. Now, when you're holding that in, don't do this, because naturally we start to hold and then we tense our entire bodies. All right, drop the shoulders, drop your diaphragm, send the energy up, squeezing the pelvic floor. And we're going to place the awareness on the midbrain. All right, we're going to send the energy all the way up through the body And what we're going to be doing is cleansing the brain with that cerebrospinal fluid and flooding the body with feel-good hormones as well. So what you can find is that it might actually brush against the crystals in the pineal gland, activate the third eye, and you might see a lot of light. All right, you might see, feel quite blissful. Okay, you might feel nothing. All is welcome. And then we're going to let go and release with an exhale. Okay. When you are inhaling, it appears you do it quickly. Yes, no. So it's quite a slow inhale. So you'll go, hold. Okay, it's not going to be a— and I'll guide you through that process as well. All right, now you're not going to remember a word I've just said. I always say this and people always look at me like I'm speaking another language. You don't need to remember any of this. I'm going to guide you throughout the whole process. Best. All right, that is the most amazing part about soma breath. It really does teach you to guide people so they can really just allow themselves to surrender and let go. All right, so we're breathing in through the nose, out through the mouth. No pause between your inhale and exhale. There's going to be a breath hold on the exhale. You can take small recovery sips if you need, and there's going to be a breath hold on the inhale, and then we're going to sigh out. All right, there are some contraindications to be aware of with the breath retentions. Okay, so if you have COPD 2, COPD 3, any severe heart conditions, arrhythmia, if you have a severe chronic pacemaker, or if you have any chronic conditions, late-stage terminal illnesses, diseases, that kind of thing. If you are pregnant, if you have epilepsy, if you struggle from seizures, okay, please refrain from doing the breath holds. You can absolutely do the rhythmical breathing, okay, but please, when the breath holds come, just go back to your natural breathing pattern and meet us back in the next round. All right, a few safety precautions. So one of the things you don't want to do is do this in water. I always have a little bit of laugh with people because when I was new to somabreath and I hadn't trained to be an instructor. I remember doing a session in the bath and almost passing out. All right, it's not a good idea. Don't do it. All right, it kind of makes sense when you think about it, but you'd be surprised how many people think, oh, that'd be nice, I'll light some candles, get in the bath, do a breathwork session. Not a great idea. All right, we're taking you into altered states of consciousness, so please be aware of that. Don't drive, okay, while trying to do this. Again, you'd be surprised, some people do do Apart from that, we do say it's best with headphones. If you do have headphones, definitely grab them. All right. And apart from that, you can do this sitting up or lying down. It's totally up to you. If you are new to the practice, okay, if you are new to the practice, I do suggest lying down so that you're not worrying about falling over or anything like that. All right. We are going to start with some movement first. Who's ready to groove? Do a little kind of thumbs up, either react or give me a little thumbs up on the video. Amazing, amazing. I will make sure to share my audio. I've been caught out before not doing this. And let's have a little bit of a groove. This is totally freestyle, guys, okay? So I just want you to feel into how your body wants to move today, because I'm just going to let my body move in the way it wants to. All right? And I've got a little bit of nervous energy in me today. This is probably the biggest session I've done, so I'm gonna shake it out. All right? If you want to join me, you can. All right, let's go for it, guys. Stand up on your feet. Let's get going.
Let's move.
How does your body want to move today? If there's any nervousness, If there's any distraction, any tension, just see if you can shake it off. Let your body move, let it flow, let the energy move. Through you. Close down the eyes if it feels good. Be in your own internal world. Notice, feel, expand. Yeah, have some fun with it. Move, groove, be. And just notice as you move, are you seeing that reflection of life in the way that you allow yourself to express?
Let's dance like no one's watching.
I love this song. Let's groove, guys.
Let's take it up a notch. Yeah, let's go.
How does your body feel today?
Have a little check-in. Notice if there's any tension. Breathe into it. Move it through you.
Allow yourself to let go, to unwind.
One rattle.
Yeah, let's groove, guys!
Yeah, let's take it up a notch. Yeah. Keep moving, keep grooving. Notice how the energy wants to flow. Notice how it wants to move today.
Let's go, guys! Take it up a notch.
Have some fun! Shake your body. Shake your hips. Feel the energy. Let's start to breathe.
Breathe in, out. In, in, out.
Let's go! Groove, move, shake. Yeah, guys, let's go! Let's start to bring it down a little bit. Bringing it into more of a shake. Taking some deep breaths.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Take some deep breaths here. Oh, I got a little bit sweaty. I got a little bit sweaty. Did anybody else? By the way, when I start feeling into my authenticity and my truth, I'm someone that does a lot of accents. Don't ask, okay? I try and put on a northern accent all the time and it's really terrible. Okay, let's just take some breaths together and just ground back in. All right, so breathe in and out. Breathe in. And out.
Breathe in and out.
Now, if you want to find your spaces for the breath work, wherever you want to be, wherever you want to lie, where you want to sit I didn't turn off, Alicia. I can see you said, it says the host turned my video off. I don't think I did. Sorry, apologies, but I didn't press anything. I was too busy shaking. I was too busy shaking and moving, and my incense fell over on the floor. My husband's going to tell me off about that later. The story of the incense carries on. Okay, so let's find our spaces wherever we're going to be today. Whether we're going to be sitting up, whether we're going to be lying down, and just take some time to arrive. First of all, allow yourself to land after that moving and grooving. You guys really went for it today. I love it, I love it. All right, so close down your eyes, beautiful people. Find your space. If you've got headphones, grab them now. Make sure that you've got the door closed if you've got distractions coming through. Whatever you need to do, just create your little nest. I love that someone's like, wow, that was amazing, thank you. I know, the power of movement, hey, the power of movement. Okay. So let's close down the eyes now and let's just settle into the body, just arriving here in this very moment. Allowing the distractions of the world to just fade away, giving yourself permission to just be, to be here right now. Just bringing yourself into your breath. Just notice how it flows naturally through you today. Follow its journey through your body as you inhale and exhale. Just let your breath guide you into that deep state of presence. Now, today's session is all about using our wounds to create wonder. Within our lives. So I want to ask you this question now from a place of stillness: what do you consider to be your core wound? There's no right, there's no wrong. Just allow are the first insights to come through.
And just be with it.
Do you feel like you're not good enough? Do you feel like you're too much? Do you feel scared to be seen, to be witnessed? Do you feel like you don't belong? Do you feel like you have to hold everything together? Do you have imposter syndrome? Whatever comes up, just let it be enough. Don't try to push it away, don't try to fix it, don't try to change it. Just take a moment to sit with it. And I want you to see if you can locate this feeling in the body. Is it in your chest? Is it in your throat? Is it in your stomach? To see if you can locate that emotion and just feel it as what it is, which is energy in the body. Just notice how it presents. Notice how it feels. Notice its shape. Feel its edges. Is it sharp? Is it tense? Is it heavy? And just see if you can send your breath there now. Send your breath into that space. See if you can create some softness around it, some awareness. And as you stay with the sensation, don't try to change it, don't try to make it disappear. Just see it, feel it, simply allow it. This wound might have been something that's been with you for quite some time in different moments in different chapters, in different situations. This feeling, this belief, this wound may have shown up in many different ways. And maybe until now it's something you've tried to move away from, something you've questioned, something you've judged. But just for a moment today, see if you can soften that. And instead of asking, 'How can I get rid of this?' gently open up to the question, 'What has this shown me?' And just breathe into this space.
And just notice what comes up.
What has this shaped within you? Because often the parts that we struggle with the most about ourselves, the parts of us that have been created through conditioning, through learning, are also the very parts that have shaped how we see the world. They shape how we relate, how we respond, how we protect ourselves, how we move through life. And sometimes times what we have seen as our weakness has actually been guiding us, guiding us towards certain spaces, certain people, certain ways of being that are more aligned for us. This wound is not your truth, but it can be your greatest guide. A guide that can shape your awareness, your sensitivity, your way of understanding things, your direction, your impact on the world. Our scars hold stories. Our pain carries medicine. Medicine that can be used to create magic, hope, light, power, strength. And today we're going to use the breath to let these wounds guide us to wonder, the wonder that lives within each and every one of us, ready to be birthed into life, ready to create this magical ripple effect on the world, ready to be seen. You are so much more than you think you are.
It's time to find your light. Breathing in for 2, out for 4. In Breathe it in, out, let it go. 3, 4.
Breathe into that space, that emotion.
2, 3, 4. In.
Just give it some awareness this first round.
3, 4. Let it be held with your breath. Out. 2, 3, 4. In.
Feel the toes draw away out the sensation. 3, 4, in, breathe into it. Out, 2, 3, 4, in, 2, this is something that's been sitting beneath the surface, in, 2, and now you're giving it space to be seen, 4, in, 2, to be felt, 2, our emotions, our energy in motion. And as we breathe, we can move this energy through us.
As you inhale, rise. As you exhale, flow. 1, in, 2, out, 2, 3, 4, in, 2, out, 2. Let that wound be seen in 2 as a feeling. 2, 3, 4, in. I see you. Out, 2, 3, 4, in.
What are you trying to show up. If it feels uncomfortable, try to stay with it.
Let the breath move around it. Breathing in, breathing Out, 3, 4.
In, softening it.
Out, 2, creating space. 4. In, 2. Out, 2, 3, 4.
In, you are not the feeling.
Out, 2, 3, 4.
You are the awareness behind it.
2. Out, 2, 3, 4. 4.
Keep breathing.
2, out. 2, 3, 4. In, 2, out. 2, stay connected. 4.
In, 2, out.
2, 3, 4. In, 2.
This wound is not your truth.
3, 4.
That it can can be your greatest teacher.
Out, 2, 3, 4. In, 2, out.
Your pain carries medicine.
3, 4. Your scars hold stories. Out, 2, 3, 4.
Then the world needs you in your true light, in your fullest expression.
In, 2, out, 2, 3, 4. Keep breathing.
Take it a little bit deeper if that feels good for you. Listen to your body. You're in control.
In, 2, out, 2, 3, 4. In.
Where does that core wound reside within your body?
4. In, 2, out.
How does it interact with your brain?
Use your breath to meet it. Blow it free. Meet it with presence, with grace, with compassion, with love. In. Be the witness. Out.
Be the observer. 2, out, 3, keep going, 4, in, 5, you're doing so well, keep going, we're getting close to that first breath hold, 6, see if you can go deeper with the breath if it feels good, listen to your body, 7, if there's discomfort around this wound, see if you can use your breath to soften, to dissolve, 8, to knead, to flow.
1, 2, 3, 4.
Let your breath be your anchor, anchoring you in the storm, guiding you deeper into expansion.
1, 2, 3, 4. Let's get ready.
Take a deep breath fully in through your nose. Breathe it all the way in, up to the top. Hold for a moment and then just release slowly. Imagine you're that balloon, just let the air seep out. And after full exhalation, hold your breath. If you're sitting up and it feels good for you, you can dip your chin to your chest, to what is here, creating that Jalandhara Bandha, that throat energy lock. Turn inwards. Let this be exactly as it is. Take a small recovery sip at any point if you need it. It's there for you. Straight back out. Hold your breath. Push past your comfort zone. I promise you, the magic lies just through the other side. As a metaphor for life. Feel the energy starting to rise. Feel the diaphragm starting to twitch. The heat starting to build. Let's count it down.
5.
4, 3, 2, 1. Take a deep breath fully in through the nose. Breathe it all the way in. Hold your breath at the top of the inhale. Gentle squeeze of your pelvic floor. Activate your root lock, your pelvic energy lock, your mula bandha. Send the awareness up to the midbrain, sending the energy all the way up from the base of the spine. Feel it moving up through the body. Send Send it all the way up, send it all the way out. Feel this electric current of light moving through you, connecting you to your higher self. From wound to wonder. The fullest expression of you before the world shaped you. Hold it and then release it with a sigh. Take another deep breath in.
Hold.
Feel that energy buzzing through your body. Body and let it go. Bring yourself back into your natural breath. A moment to just connect back in. It's time to let your wounds catapult you towards greatness. Let them fuel you so you can guide others through the darkness. It's time to find your light. Let's get ready to breathe.
In for 4, out for 4. In, breathe, 2, 3, 4. Exhale, 2, 3, 4. Stay with the rhythm, 2, 3, 4. Stay with the breath. 3, 4, in, 2.
As we breathe this round, let's begin to widen that awareness.
3, 4, in, 2.
This feeling, this wound, this pain, 3, 4, in, may have influenced the path that you've taken.
Out, 2, 3, 4. In.
It may influence the choices you've made.
Out. 2, 3.
The directions that you've headed.
2, 3, 4. Out. 2, 3.
In some ways it might have redirected you.
3, 4.
Guided you.
2, 3, 4. In.
Breathe in through the nose, 4.
Out through the mouth, 3, 4.
No pause between your inhale and your exhale.
Out, 2, 3, 4. In, 2, breathe in, 3, 4. Out, 2, 3, 4. Through this redirection, 2, 3, 4.
Pull through this, guys.
1, 2, 3, 4.
You may have discovered parts of yourself, 3, 4, that you may never accept.
3, 4. Your depth, 2, 3, 4. Your sensitivity, 2, 3, 4. Your awareness, 2, 3, 4.
Maybe it's even brought you closer to what's meaningful.
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. To what feels really— 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
It may have led you into spaces that feel more aligned.
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. More honest. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.
More like you.
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. 3, 4. In 2, keep breathing.
4, you've got this. Take it deeper if it feels right.
4, breathe in 2, 3, 4. And out 2, 3, 4. In 2, 3.
Through this whole process, you've begun to understand yourself more.
3, 4.
And your wounds have guided you there.
4, out.
2, 3, not because it was easy.
In, 2, 3, 4. But because you felt it. 2, 3, 4.
Because you lived it.
2, 3, 4.
This wound hasn't only held you back, it's shaped you.
To the past. 3, 4. Out, 2, 3, 4.
Let that land softly.
2, 3, 4. Out, 2, 3, 4. In. Where has this wound shaped you for the better? Out, 2, 3.
What does it show you?
In, 2, 3. 4. Out, 2, 3, 4.
In, 2, 3, 4.
Out, 2, 3, 4. In, 2, 3.
Through the darkness that we find, the light is 3, 4.
In, 2.
We're getting close to our next breath. Hold, take it deeper if 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
Let's get ready.
Take a deep breath fully in through the nose, breathe it all the way in up to the top. Hold for a moment and then release slowly through pursed lips. Just let that air seep out. Hold your breath.
After full exhalation, turn inwards. There is space for insight here.
Be still.
Be calm.
Allow yourself to let go. Let the strength within you guide the way. Let this begin to make sense in its own way. Take a small recovery sip in at any point if you need it.
Straight back up. You've got this. Feel the energy starting to rise. Push past that comfort zone.
5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Take a deep breath fully in through your nose. Breathe it all the way in, up to the top. Hold your breath at the top of the inhale. Gentle squeeze of your pelvic floor. Activate your mula bandha. Send the energy up to the midbrain. Send it all the way up through the body. Imagine it rising from the base of your spine all the way up through you. Up and out, stepping into that highest version of yourself, becoming that light channel.
This is your truth.
Step into it and then release with a sigh.
Let go. How do you feel in this moment?
Not how do you think you feel.
How do you feel? Sensation, a movement, a nudge.
Be in the energy. Step out of the thinking mind. Step into the feeling body because now it's time to remember who you really are. Wonder that's ready to burst through. Our last round, we're going to start with a 4-4 rhythm and then switch to a 2-2. Go as deep as your body wants, needs.
Let it feel nourishing. Breathe. 2, 3, 4. Out. 2, 3, 4.
This round, let's feel the energy starting to build in the body.
Out. 2, 3, 4. In. Feel yourself here fully. Out. 2, 3, 4.
Everything in.
Move through. 2, 3, 4. Everything you've felt, 3, 3, 4, in, has brought you into this moment. 3, 4, out. 2, 3, 4.
And it's shaped something inside of you.
3, 4, out. 2, 3, 4. Something real. 2, 3, 4, something powerful. 3, 3, 4, in, through.
The journey has not been for nothing.
1, 2, 3, 4.
It is a journey of self-discovery.
3, 4, a journey of expansion. 3, 4, in, through. 3, 3, Out, widening you back. 3, 4, to your true essence. In, 2, 3, 4, to your true frequency. 3, 3, 4. In, 2, 3, 4. Out, 2, 3, 4. In, 2, 3.
The shape or the way you feel.
3, 4. The way you see the world. 3, 3, 3.
The way you understand others.
4, 4. In 2, 3. This is your uniqueness. Out 2, 3, 4.
This is what makes you, you.
Out 2, 3, 4. 4. So breathe. 2, 3, 4.
Breathe into your truth.
2, 3, 4.
You're not here to hide it.
2, 3.
You're here to express it.
2.
Let's go faster. 4.
Breathe in. 2. Out. 2. Breathe. 2. Out.
2.
The world is It does not need you to be less.
It needs you to be fully you. In, out, your depth, in, your brilliance, out, your light, in, out, your sensitivity, in, your awareness, out, in, to land. It's your brilliance. In, through, out, through. In, through, out, through. In, through, out, through.
Let it rise as you breathe.
Out, through. In, through, out, through.
Keep going.
Out, through.
In. This is your power.
Out. 2.
This is your wonder.
2. Out.
This is what you bring to the world.
3. Out. 2.
You are ready to be seen in your truth.
2.
Fully.
3.
Unapologetically.
2. Breathe. 2.
Feel it.
3. Rise to expand.
Let's go, take it deeper. The world needs your light, and these wounds have guided you there, to the deeper knowing, a greater awareness.
2, in, 2, out.
An awareness of the right spaces is the right people. 2, in, 2, your right vibration.
2, in, 2, out.
2, we're getting close to our final breath hold. See if you can take it deeper.
2, in, 2, out.
Who are you? In Beneath the noise.
Out, 2.
Before the world shaped you.
3. Out, 2. In.
The world needs your light.
Out, 2.
In.
3. Out, 2.
It's time to transmute that wound.
Out, 2. To a wonder. In, 3.
Let's get ready.
Out, 2.
Take a deep breath. Breathe it all the way in, up to the top. This time you're going to hold at the top. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and release slowly out through the mouth.
Hold your breath. Just be in your body for a moment.
Surrender into your truth.
You've got this.
You've always had this. Let your body support you through this process like it always has. Take a small recovery. Recovery sip in if you need at any point. Let yourself straight back out, be fully safe. Push past the comfort zone. That's where your strength lies. It always has. 5, 4, 3, 2.
1.
Take a deep breath fully in through your nose. Breathe it all the way in, up to the top. Hold your breath at the top of the inhale. Gentle squeeze of your pelvic floor. Activate your mula bandha. Place the awareness on the midbrain. Send the energy all the way up the body. Let it rise. Let it flow. Feel your light. Feel your wonder. Hold it and release it with a big sigh now. Bring yourself back to your natural breath. Your wounds were never meant to break you. They were here to reveal you, to guide you back to your depth, the truth. Your way of being in the world, to show you where you feel the most, where you care the most, to show you what isn't aligned, what was never meant to hold you. They're not here to limit you. They're here to redirect you, to guide you towards the spaces the people, the paths that truly meet you. When you stop turning away and begin to listen, welcome home to the wonder of you. You become the medicine. Everything you've lived, everything you've gone through, something meaningful has been shaped. Something real, something uniquely yours. When you start to listen to the messages, you find clarity, you find light, and it's in that truth that you become the medicine. Our wounds are our greatest teachers, and through the darkness, we can more easily find the light. Allow your light to shine. The world needs it. Take a deep breath fully in through your nose. Breathe it all the way in. And a deep breath fully out, grounding gently back in, taking some time to just be in the energy of bliss. Of wonder, of light, of expansion, of truth, of honesty, of connection. And let's start to bring some gentle movement into the body in whatever way feels true for you today. Don't listen to anybody else. Follow your own guidance. Let your truth be felt. Awaken to that. Whatever feels good, whether that's wiggles Whether that's rolls, whatever feels true. Placing the hands on the ground beside you, just tuning into the surface beneath you. Taking a breath here with the earth, letting it meet you, allowing yourself to be received just as you are, just as the world wants you to be. And whenever it feels good for you, You can open your eyes, the portals to the external world, gently tuning in to your surroundings, seeing the colors, the lights, smells, the sounds, tuning gently back into this present moment. And in your own time, and only when it feels good for you, you can join me back in the space. Remembering that our wounds may not be our truth, but they can be our greatest greatest teachers. Thank you so much for breathing with me today. If you've done sessions with me before, you will know I do like to go deep, but I always like to feel— leave you feeling that joy, that bliss. I hope you're all feeling good. I'm sure Jason will come back on shortly and do his little channel, but it was an absolute joy to guide you today. This is my life's purpose, and, um, yeah, it's an absolute blessing to be able to call this work.
Wow, Kira, I think you're seeing the messages scroll through the screen right now. A lot of love, a lot of appreciation. What a journey you've taken on for everybody here. This is why we bring these sessions to you. And wow, I'm very curious to see how the batteries have changed after going through such a powerful experience. And this is what we measured at the beginning, and we're going to go ahead and have a look by resetting this chart and asking everybody Where's our battery now? With levels between 1 and 10, will we recognize— we'll get to see if we were able to fulfill the mission, supporting people finding the recharge through the breath. And there you have it. It sounds like we've accomplished our mission in a powerful way. Kira, you led such an incredible session, and I know you actually speak to a lot of people who are just beginning or even just considering becoming instructors. And I'd be curious to see if you have any words of advice for someone who's just witnessed you lead this and think, wow, I'd love to do something like this myself. 'but I don't know if I'm capable of.' Perhaps sharing even your own journey into learning how to do this practice.
Yeah, absolutely. One thing I will say is that a lot of people get very scared when they are setting out on this path, all right? And it's quite normal. It's a new path. You have no idea what it looks like, so how could you, you know, how could you not be scared? I was nervous today. I knew it was going to be one of the biggest sessions I'd done. Um, we are scared more of the unknown than the actual thing, but if we never take a chance on ourselves, we don't know. You know, I used to— I would never have thought I would be, you know, running retreats and, and doing all sorts of things. You know, I run group programs, I've done a celebrity book launch up in London, I've done sessions for the London College of Naturopathic Medicine. I was bricking myself every time. But it's about feeling the fear and doing it anyway, because the truth is, is that you will always grow and expand. And your first session may not be your best, but it will be part of your journey. And this journey is so much more than just learning how to guide breathwork. You're changing people's lives, guys, you know. The session I did the first time changed my life, you know, and that was a Soma Breath instructor. The mentors change people's lives every day. You get to do the same. All right, this is a movement, this isn't a career. So if you're feeling scared, just remember that it's the fear of the unknown that's normally holding you back, not the actual fear of the thing. You'll be amazing because we all carry our own unique medicine. And the world needs it all.
Thank you for those words, Kira. And as we're concluding the session for today, I did want to highlight another instructor within our tribe that has had a, a journey that's quite incredible. And as part of our Breath Fest, we are acknowledging a lot of our newer instructors that have been on this journey and have had some incredible path that they've taken. And the individual I'd love to highlight here today I did find her profile here on LinkedIn. This is Sarah Justine Wilson. She's an advanced instructor, and what really made her story stand out— because we ask all of our instructors to submit some of their stories to get a chance to be highlighted— is she found herself in a very long marriage pattern with narcissistic partners, childhood trauma with a father with terminal dementia, and that in her past she had done years of therapy which had supported her into understanding what was the issues. And it wasn't until she had an opportunity to experience Soma Breath that she realized this was the missing piece to regulate her nervous system at a somatic level. And what she's done is taken really what Kira has been sharing on the session today, is that wound has now become the fuel to help her become a Soma Breath spiritual guide where she helps women heal from toxic relationships. She's had a chance to understand her patterns, and now she's finally been able to shift them and create a ripple for all those who are going through difficult times, particularly women in these toxic relationships. So, uh, Sarah, we just wanted to acknowledge you, say that we love the work that you're doing. And for everyone that we're recognizing, we're going ahead and giving you access to 1 year of our Breathwork Instructors Global. This is our community platform where we have tons of teachings and support to help you in the business of Soma Breath, as well as access to all the new tracks and all the amazing things that come while being inside the Soma Breath community. So Sarah will be contacting you for this gift, and we just want to acknowledge you in front of everyone. If everybody else can use that react button, that'll be the best way to share some love and acknowledgement for Sarah, our incredible instructor. Ah, now Kira, you've taken us through a powerful journey, and I always want to make sure create an opportunity for you to share some of the best ways for people to integrate this. So they've just finished, we're gonna be ending the session probably in about 5, 10 minutes here. What are some of the suggested routines, actions, ways of processing what they've just went through?
So a number of different things. Number one, if you can get outside, take your shoes off, get some grounding in, nature is gonna be your best point of call first of all. I know Freddie mentioned this yesterday, but journaling, there might have been a lot that's come up for you today, and actually a lot that you've started to realize. So maybe start to write it down. It's a very cathartic release. All right, if you do feel like you need a little bit more, um, settling, head to the app if you don't have it already, the Soma Breath app. There's some amazing tracks in there. There's an Inner Harmony Silver one, which is a nice 4/8 pattern that I do really recommend. That you can go in and just regulate, start to bring yourself into the parasympathetic and just calm yourself down. All right, and bring yourself back into alignment. And I'll also pop my details. I know a few people were asking. I'll pop my Instagram, um, if it's gonna—
Here, I just, I just went ahead and added a link to connect with you, which is your instructor profile where your Instagram, your email, your website, everything is there. And so you guys can find that. I just put the Connect with Kira for those of you who want to stay connected. And Monica has shared the Soma Breath app as well, um, so that everybody has the resources they need.
Amazing. Thank you. You're one step ahead of me.
I'm just, I'm just here to support. Um, Kira, honestly, it's a pleasure to work alongside you and for everything that you do. You do such amazing breath Sessions, let's take an opportunity right now to share some love and some gratitude for Kira. And what I'd love to also invite anybody here— I mentioned this at every session, and it is important because we're putting this whole Breath Fest together, highlighting our incredible instructors and showing you all the different ways that you can make this practice your own. If you felt a calling to become a breathwork instructor, we want to invite you to consider being that with Soma Breath. A lot of people usually come from two different main paths whether that's having a crisis of purpose or a career crisis where you start thinking, perhaps I should be doing a shift, what could be an opportunity where I can really do the kind of work that aligns with my soul, that helps me help people, that's part of my calling. And if what you've been witnessing with the teachers we've brought to you is something that perhaps there's just a small part of you that whispers and says, maybe I could do that too, we'd love to invite you to have that conversation and to apply for our Instructor programs, and what happens in that process is you fill out an application form where we just want to understand the why behind why you want to become an instructor. And from that point, you'll get an opportunity to book a call with one of our team members. The purpose of that call is to get a chance to see what are you looking to achieve, what is the best match program, if one of those programs is a match. Because I, I've mentioned this a few times and I'll repeat it again. We're in the business of making our instructors successful. So we need to see what is it that you're looking to achieve and if there's a program that is right for you to make sure you are successful on this path in becoming an instructor. A lot of you have already scheduled your calls with the availability that was there. If you haven't done so already and you're looking for that nudge, do so now. It's the best time to do it so you can lock in a time with one of our amazing people. Kira is one of the people that has conversations with our up-and-coming instructors. And so you'll possibly have a chance to have that conversation with her as well. But regardless of who you speak to, they're all incredible individuals who want to get to know you and see how we can help you make that transition. For some of you who already have a holistic practice and you've considered perhaps bringing breathwork into the suite of offers that you have, know that Soma Breath is known as the most scientifically validated methodology bringing results for your clients clients, and we'd love to have an opportunity to work more with you and see your own story of growth and transformation as you go through this process. Every single person is going to get professional training as they become an instructor, but know that you are in for a personal transformation in the process. And so because our Breath Fest is happening now, we're celebrating 8 years of certifying instructors, we have over 3,500, and we're offering a 25%— sorry, 20% discount on all of our programs. And so if you do apply now, this will be the single best deal of the year. And so don't miss out. We'd love to have that conversation with you. And the Breath Fest will continue. We have two more incredible sessions. We're going to have Simona joining us tomorrow at 9 PM Eastern time. It'll be a Saturday night for those of you in the America time zones, and it'll be 9 AM for those of us in Bali, Indonesia, in Southeast Asia. So that'll be an incredible session, and We're also going to have Niraj Naik, the founder of Soma Breath, who's going to be doing the closing session as well, happening shortly after that. So look into your emails. We have a page with all the amazing sessions that have happened, replays of some of the past sessions, and of course making sure to add to your calendar the upcoming ones. I will be here. Monica as well from the team will be here, and we will support you on these journeys to experience all the different ways you can have a Soma Breath experience. And so we're having an amazing time. We hope you are doing so as well. Book a call if you're feeling like you have the power to become an instructor and would love to have that conversation with you. And what I would love to do now is I will throw the conversation back to you, Kyra. This was your session. You've provided amazing experience for everybody here. We'd love to have some closing words for the session coming from you. And so the floor is yours to close off the session.
Amazing. Thank you so much, Jason, and thank you for each and every one of you for showing up today and showing up through this Breath Fest. It's amazing what we can do when we just bring ourselves into presence and into our breath. So thank you, and give yourself a big pat on the back for showing up and doing the work, because what we're doing is we're healing the planet one breath at a time.
Fantastic. Kira, thank you so much. Just answering some of the comments that have come in as well, is I will just The next session will be at 9 PM Eastern time. There will be a replay of this session made available shortly. And for you to book a call, there is a link for you to apply right now posted by our team. And so that is the end of today's session. I will be going ahead and playing a song to close this off in a fun way. And so, oops, uh, oh, this was from the Serotonin. So I'm gonna find a dance track to just keep the energies up as we just finish our incredible session, which is a Spanish version of Loving My Life. Ladies and gentlemen, much love. I'll see you on the next session, and I'm wishing you all the best.
Take care, everybody.
Every day you see me grinding, I'm already know, right? I know, you better know what I'm about. So you better watch me, make it moves like a stallion. I'm the real man, champion. I live my life the way I know how I live my life. No father will try control my life. This is my life, so let me be. Yeah, yeah, yeah, keep on living that life that you choose to live. Yes, nobody listen to nobody. It's a life, you only live one. Love your life no matter if you're rich or poor. Oh no, no, no, love your life no matter if you're rich or poor. Love your life.
