Guided SOMA Breath Practice with Nigel McHollan | Breathe Together Sunday | 2026-09-20

The live YouTube session, hosted by Piotr Szepielski and led by Soma Breath Master Nigel McHollan, gathered a global community of over 110 participants for a Sunday "Breathe Together" practice. After community check‑ins and a vibrational‑energy rating exercise, Piotr introduced the session’s theme – “You Were Never Meant to Fit In, You’re Meant to Wake Up” – and outlined the Soma Breath method. Nigel guided participants through body‑activation (shaking, dancing, hand‑rubbing), then three breath phases: (1) rhythmic circular breathing (nose‑in, mouth‑out) with varying inhale/exhale counts, (2) exhale‑hold breath retention with optional recovery breaths, and (3) inhale‑hold retention combined with a pelvic‑floor squeeze to move energy up the spine. Contraindications for breath‑holds (e.g., recent surgery, pregnancy, heart conditions) were read aloud. Throughout the practice, Nigel offered reflective prompts about conditioning, identity, and awakening, encouraging participants to observe their internal narratives. After the breathwork, the hosts shared participant feedback (energy level shifts, emotional releases), promoted upcoming Soma Breath offerings (daily Breathe Together sessions, a 2‑day manifesting challenge with founder Niraj Naik, Level 1 instructor training in London, and future guided sessions), and provided contact information. The session concluded with gratitude, reminders to journal, and an invitation to continue the practice via the Soma Breath app.

Welcome every single person that decided to join us for the Sunday Breathe Together session with the beloved Soma Pratt. How are you all feeling right now? Send some love, send some hearts, whatever emojis, whatever reaction buttons you want to send out to the tribe. To yourself, feel free to do it right now. So lovely to see you all, and I'm gonna make sure as well that in just a moment you'll see how this community keeps growing and how you'll be able to maybe see some people that you've met before during the Sunday Breathe Together or during the Monday Breathe Together, Friday Breathe Together, Wednesday Move Together because we have many sessions in the app as well. But hey, here we are today. Good morning. Good afternoon and good evening. My name is Piotr Szepielski. I'm a Soma Breath Master Transformational Coach. I am your host today, and it's such a privilege to be here today and to be able to bring you all on this journey. We're all together on this journey, and that you decided to show up for yourself, for the breath, for the energy, and experience a Sunday Breathe together. So of course, right now, let me just thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, from my heart, from Monica's heart, from Nigel's heart, from the entire tribe, from Niraj, Gary, everyone across the globe that is aware of Soma Breath. We thank you for deciding to come. Just take that in. Just take that. I'm just— I'm not saying these things just like, oh yeah, whatever. No, no, take it in. Okay, we are really grateful that you are taking the time and being with us during this live session on a Sunday. The 20th of September, and you're here with us. So give yourself a bit of like a pat on the back. I showed up, and we thank you as a community, as a tribe. Truly, Soma Breath is grateful for you to come and breathe together. Now let's use the chat. Let's light up the chat. I love all the emojis and the hearts that are just showing up. Put into the chat first things first, actually, before we go into our routine questions, and there's nothing wrong with routine questions. Who is here brand new? Who has never ever done a read together session with Sula Brett? Let us know in the chat. Will there be anyone here? Anyone? Anyone? Anyone? Anyone? Thank you, Heather. My hand is healing. Thank you so much for the question. The hand is healing. I have sensations back. So that's why I'm also on this elevated state right now. You see how Even when I think back on the week before last Sunday, breathe together when I was hosting for David and Chantal, you see my energy. I even admitted that I'm on a three on the level of vibrational energy on a three because it was just first the beginning. And when you work with a challenge, as hard and challenging as it can be, do you know what? When you work with it, work through it, understand that maybe maybe this is teaching me a little lesson here to pause and to just reflect. So I've been doing that, and being also here with you all helps me to heal truly. The breath heals, the energy heals, the tribe heals. So thank you all so much. Now, so many newbies in the house. Hello, Glow! Welcome, Liz. You're new. Welcome, Suel. Vanessa is brand new. Welcome, Sully. Amazing! Oh my goodness! We're honored to have you here with us. Safia, it's your first time. Leighton, welcome. Phenomenal. So beautiful to see. Let us know as well in the chat, just out of curiosity, how did you hear about us? Just so that we know where you found the information about joining the Sunday Breed Together. Was it a link that somebody sent you? Was it an ad? Or maybe you just were on YouTube and you saw something popping up saying We're going live and welcome everyone on YouTube. If you've got the Zoom link there as well, so you can click on the Zoom link and join us in the Zoom room. Feel free to do so. But if you want to stay on YouTube, no worries at all. We welcome you as well. Divine intervention, always, always, always, always pop up emails, emails, Instagram. I joined the facilitator training. Amazing. Online search for breathwork platform to access virtually. Yes. Ah, beautiful. Niraj on Insta. Yeah, that dude. He's just incredible. He's incredible. Niraj Naik, the founder. Amazing. Ah, well, first things first, honestly, welcome, welcome all. We do a little bit of an intro as well. As you can obviously see, as a host, I have the power to do the intro for a couple of minutes before, before I hand over the mic to Nigel, our Soma Breath Master Transformational Coach, our retreat leader. And there is going to be a Level 1 training in London Very soon, but we're going to talk about that later on. If you're interested in becoming a SOMI, a Summer Breath Instructor Level 1, London is happening very, very soon, and you still have the opportunity to join us. We'll talk about that later. So it's amazing to see so many of you that are brand new, and of course everyone else that has been here for week after week in the app. We hold you dearly. This is a safe container. Nigel will be guiding the session, and he will also introduce to you how you're going to be breathing. So just stay tuned, like pay attention about the breath, but also don't put too much stress and, and, and just trying to understand everything because in the guidance, in the guidance itself, Nigel, his voice, the count, the rhythm, the breath, he will make you join that journey and feel safe if you just allow the senses to be kind of taken away. And you're going to trust the experience, trust the journey. But of course, Nigel will in just a moment introduce the theme, the subject of today's session, because every single Sunday Breathe Together has a specific theme. And he will introduce as well how we're going to be breathing and some contraindications for breath holds. Okay, amazing. Divine intervention. Absolutely cool. So now let me know in the chat as well, where are you breathing in from? I am in Spain. Europe currently, currently, and I will be here for the next couple of weeks, months, right? Yeah. So here we go. We've got New York, we've got Scotland, Montana, Tulsa, United Kingdom, United Kingdom. Lovely. That's totally fine, Andrea, that you have— you need to have your camera off. Absolutely okay. We know you're participating. All is well. I mean, oh, Suli, you're going to the instructor training.
Yes.
Nice one. Um, let me just keep up. East Sussex, Manchester, Woodstock, Tennessee, United Kingdom, the Philippines, Florida, Boston. Amazing. Dubai, Mexico. Uh, welcome everyone. Austin. Yes. Fab, Porto in Portugal, a collective, a collective energy. And this means a lot because now you can see as well how from so many different areas around the world, we are bringing people together and we are bringing this collective energy as well. And the breath and the journey itself, it is going to be way more powerful when you even know that you have this kind of conscious awareness that there's people from Kent, They'll be breathing with you, although you are in Germany, and somebody in Illinois will also breathe with somebody in Oshawa. Like it's just incredible. Like so it's it's it's a powerful moment. Amazing. And now the routine question that again I'm gonna ask because it's a routine question: How are you feeling right now on a scale of one to ten level of vibrational energy? Okay, one being low. Down, not feeling like it. It's been— that's been my— it hasn't been my day, my week, my month, my year. So whatever it is, 1, 2, 3, and then of course the 10 is I'm hyped up. I'm, I'm definitely right now on a, on a 9. I'm on a 9. Okay, here we go. We've got lovely Yolanda, welcome back. 7, 9, 7, 7, 8, 6. Perfect. It seems like we're doing bets now. 7, 8, 7, 7, 7, and 8, and a 5. Lynette, you're an 8. Diana, our dear Diana, welcome back. She's a 200. Happy to report a 7. Thank you, Adele. Amazing. And why we're asking this question as well before, because we know how powerful a breathwork journey can be, especially the ones with soma breath, that you'll be able to tap into a higher state and your level of vibrational energy L-O-V-E, will hopefully increase at the end of today's session. So today's session will be guided by the one and only Nigel McCullen, our Summer Breath Master Transformation Coach and retreat leader, mentor, as I mentioned before. And he's also, just like me, a health and wellness freak. Okay, we are totally addicted to health and wellness and bringing well-being to everyone, making sure that everyone feels comfortable in their own body. And today's session is called You Were Never Meant to Fit In, You're Meant to Wake Up. All right, does that resonate? Are we feeling this? Sometimes as well, because when I read through the description of today's session, we might think that we know we like— there is no labels, we somehow fitting in, we don't fit in anywhere. But then when you start unpacking this, And you start seeing actually on a super subconscious, super subconscious level, you start seeing as well that actually some of the labels, identities, stories, conditioning, you have inherited, and you are fitting in without actually even knowing that you're fitting in. So today, Nigel will be the one guiding the session. And as I said, the theme, you're, you're never meant to fit in, you're meant to wake up, will be something that will hopefully wake you up to the experience, to your life, to this adventure, to this one, one opportunity that we all have in this lifetime. Okay. Without further ado, are we all ready? Just give me some— yeah, we're ready. Adele sends a love heart. I'm gonna send some love hearts as well to all of you. There you go. Love hearts.
Yay.
Nice one. Okay. Are we all ready? Yes, yes, yes, yes. I see everyone saying yes, yes, yes. Amazing. So I'm gonna I'm gonna be also in the back watching the chat, being on YouTube as well, making sure that everyone is okay. But throughout the journey itself, just please make sure as well that you're really tapping into the experience, tapping into the journey. And if you have to use the chat, of course you can. I am here then to, to control and to answer back anything. But just feel free to just enjoy the ride that we have planned for you today. Okay, without further ado. My friend, dear colleague, mentor Nigel McCollum is in the house. Welcome, Nigel.
Thank you, Piotr. And just at that moment, we have reached 111 participants, the magic number. Just as I come on, it turns to 111.
Yes, yes, of course, of course, of course. Anyways, Nigel, enjoy the journey. Everyone else, enjoy your journey.
See you later. Thank you, Piyot. All right, welcome everyone to Summer Breath Breathe Together Sunday. I'm going to go through the process first of all, and then we'll get on with it. We're going to do some body activation, a little bit of shaking, dancing, and then we'll get actually into the journey itself. So let me just talk you through what we're going to do. So, um, as, as I've said already, there'll be some shaking, some dancing, just for 5 or 6 minutes, and then we'll be going on to the breathwork. So how do we do the breathwork, and is there anything that you should be aware of and you should avoid if you have any specific conditions? So we breathe in through our nose and we breathe out through our mouth in Summer Breath, and this is unique to Summer Breath. So it's a circular breath in through your nose, out through your mouth. Now the other part of that is we're going to try and encourage belly breathing or diaphragmatic breathing. So if you're not sure what that is, if you're new to doing this type of breathwork, then Simply, we can hold this together. It doesn't harm to do it again. Remind yourself, put one hand on your stomach, one hand on your chest. When you breathe in through the nose, it's gentle, it's subtle. It's not a— it's not like a deep breath that we've all been told to take to help us relax. This is a nice, subtle, gentle, relaxing breath. So when you do that nice relaxing breath, breathe in but engage with the belly. Try and allow that breath to go down into the belly or to the lower rib cage. So when you do that breath in, Then you're breathing out through your mouth. Nothing should really come up here. Okay, so we're doing a rhythmic breathing, which is what we call phase 1. This is the type of breathing we're going to try and do. In through nose, out through the mouth. It's effortless, not effortful. You're really relaxing into it. You're trying to let the breath kind of take over so that you kind of become less and less aware of what's going on around about you. But more and more internalized with what's going on within your internal feelings and emotions and any imagination kind of prompts I'm going to give you. Okay, so this continues for about 4 or 5 minutes or so in this cycle. You might hear that the ratio of the breath changes. So in round 1, we're going to be breathing in for a count of 2 and then exhaling for a count of 4. Then round 2, we're going to be breathing in for 4, then out for 4. Halfway through, it'll go in for two in and two out, and round three is just going to be two in and two out. Okay, I'll guide you. Don't try and memorize everything I'm telling you. This is not a memory test. So that's phase one rhythmic breathing on that circular breath. Now phase two after that breathing for four to five minutes, I'll take you tell you to take a breath in, and then you breathe out, and then we hold our breath. So we're going to exhale. the air from our lungs to a comfortable point. If you're new, don't go trying to empty every single last drop of air in your lungs. That'll make you feel instantly uncomfortable, and that'll put you into a real place of constriction and discomfort. So breathe out to the point where you feel that you can hold your breath at. All right, now we're going to hold our breath there for up to a minute and a half, possibly longer. But if you're not familiar with breath holding and you've not got yourself used to, or you can't tolerate the buildup of CO2 in your system, which is happening Then what we do is a recovery breath. So that looks like this. It's a gentle sniff into your nose and breathe out through the mouth. All you're doing is topping up. Then you go back into the breath hold again. It might be another 20, 30 seconds. You feel you need to take another breath in, so another breath in is fine. Another sip and breathe out. And then eventually after that, that second phase of holding our breath on that out-breath, Then we breathe in, fully in. We hold, and this time we're going to hold the breath in, not the breath out. And we're squeezing our pelvic floor muscles, the muscles you use to stop yourself from going to the toilet or breaking wind. We're going to squeeze those muscles, nothing else. And the energy that you feel from that contraction, you're going to pull it up. You're going to pull it up through your spine and into this point between the eyes, the midbrain. And we'll hold it there for about 30 seconds or so. And then we just simply release and go back to normal breathing. So that's it. That is the summer breath technique. Phase one, phase two, phase three. Rhythmic breathing. Exhale and hold. Inhale and hold. As simple as that. Before that all begins, I'll be giving you a bit of an intention, a bit of guidance at the beginning, just to nicely drop you down into this meditative state. And then we begin the rhythmic breathing. That might be about nine or ten minutes there. Okay. So allow you just to. Settle into doing a sort of body check and body scan. Now I'm going to read out the contraindications to you. Now a contraindication is where you maybe got something that's going on with you at the moment that that would mean the benefits are lower than any any risks. So we don't want that. So this only applies to the breath retentions. Okay, so you can do the rhythmic breathing. That's absolutely fine. But if you fall into any of these categories here, so. Breath hold should not be practiced in any of the following cases: recent surgery, epilepsy, pregnancy in the third trimester, serious heart conditions such as pacemaker, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or recent heart attack. In, in most other cases, the practice is considered safe. We invite you to listen to your body, reduce the intensity if needed, or skip the breath hold at any time. Okay, now you can do this seated or lying down. Um, I don't think anyone's ever really tried to do it standing, so I would advise you to sit in a comfortable seat, not something you can fall off, something that's maybe supporting you, or lie down maybe with a pillow under your head or something underneath your knees. All right, and that is basically us. Okay, it's all guided, so again, as I said earlier on, emphasize that I'll be guiding you through this meditation and You just need to lie there or sit there and just follow on with the guidance. Okay, now before we go on, just read the last little bit. I know you're all desperate to get on. I want you to kind of think about what the topic was that Piotr said earlier on about the topic. You know, you're not meant to fit in, you're meant to wake up. What does that actually mean? Because we all are conditioned, we all have our programs that are running, much like the apps that are on our phone. Every so often, the apps on our phone get upgraded. You know, we've got the App Store, we upgrade the app, it brings in the new version, the software is upgraded. So our software in our bodies is our mind, our brain. How do we upgrade that software? The program that was running when you're maybe 5 years old, 6 years old, that you inherited from something, some event that happened, is that still running now? So think in your head if there's anything that really comes to mind when you think about programs, like I always react this way, or I'm trying to constantly fit in with society. I don't want to be the outsider. I don't have that fear of missing out. I want to be in a group because when you're an outsider, you're an outcast, you're an oddball, you're that single person on your own. Okay, so I want you to think about that. Now I have to confess here, this idea wasn't entirely born by myself. I have a really good friend. She's actually on the call tonight. She's called Archana, and she's a somber breathwork instructor as well. Her and I have been discussing this topic for quite a few months. So the idea was born from us having this conversation about where we fit in society. She is also a Summer Breath instructor, does a great meditation, and hopefully she's gonna be stepping into the role that I'm in here at some point. So I really hope that that will happen. So anyway, okay, without any further ado, let's get up, let's stand up, and let's get some dance and some boogieing going, some shaking, and then we're down onto the, the, uh, our seated position or lying down. Okay, so let me just share my screen. Just take a few seconds and then we'll be up. All right, so invite you to stand up. If you can't stand up, obviously it's fine to stay seated down. Do your own thing seated. I love this track. This is called Bayana. Up you get, standing up. Now before we begin, I just want you to get your hands, rub them together really fast. Really quick like this. Get a bit of heat generated in your hands. Feel that heat warming, that building up. And then start to tap your fingertips together like this. Tapping the fingertips, getting this awareness in. Okay, now from your fingertips to the first knuckles. Not the big knuckles, the small knuckles. Tapping that together. And then to the big knuckles, getting them to tap together again. Feel that music building. Now I want you to clap, just clap like that, just clap.
Woo!
Okay, back to shaking again with the hands, rubbing them together very quick. Feeling that heat, feeling that music building, rising. And the fingertips, fingertips, then the knuckles, then the big knuckles, then clapping.
Let's go! Shake, shake, shake.
Let me see what you got. Shake it, shake it, shake it. This is what it's all about—the tribe coming together, the community. Let's take a breath in. Hold it and let it go. And again, breathe in and let it go. Now one more time, squeeze every single muscle, squeeze and hold, charge it up and let it go.
And shake, shake, shake, shake.
Gentle to begin with. Here we go. If you want to breathe with me, let's breathe. Yes, and slowly.
Then shake it, shake it, shake it.
Long, slow breath in and out. Shake it off. There's some noise, some sounds. Ready to go again? And again, take a breath in.
Hold it, squeeze it, and let it go.
Remember, you're never meant to fit in; you're meant to awaken. This is it. This is part of it. Be yourself. Be free. And slow it down. In and out.
And let it go.
One more breath in. Ah, all right, give yourself a round of applause and then come and make yourself comfortable. Okay, so let's get our heart rates back down to To beneath 100. So just let yourself settle. Longer exhalations. That's high vibe. That's energy. Okay. Just as you're doing that. Long exhales, sighs if you wish. Allowing yourself to come back to regulation. And if you're not out of breath, that's amazing. The breathwork is working. So just take that second or 2 or a bit longer. And you feel the surface beneath you. This is what we're sinking into. This is what we're being accepted into. Allowing ourselves to find that really, really comfortable place. As I've said before, if you've done my meditations before, just fine-tune that space, that place by rolling your shoulders, stretching, moving. Just really, really settle into that position, into that moment. Any tension that's still hanging in there, just let it— assist it, let it go. And just simply take that moment to arrive. Let your body become heavy. Let the ground beneath you hold you and just acknowledge that for the next little while you don't need to fix anything, you don't need to understand anything, you don't need to become anything. You're simply going to breathe and explore. Awakening doesn't always begin with an answer. Sometimes you just simply arrive there without any reason, no invitation. Sometimes it begins with a question, a feeling that something Isn't quite right. A moment when the life you've been living suddenly feels strangely unfamiliar. Perhaps a crisis, a loss, A relationship ending, a change in your work, or simply perhaps nothing dramatic happened at all. Just a quiet voice inside saying, I'm done. There must be more than this. And perhaps that is the first crack. This is the crack through which awareness begins to enter. Today we're going to journey or travel Through that. Not to escape your life, but to see it more clearly. Some clarity. Maybe to question what you've been taught. To recognize the programs You've been running. The identities you've carried. The fears you've inherited.
The expectations.
The limitations you've mistaken for truth. And perhaps, just perhaps, to discover what remains when you begin to let them go. When the dust settles. We'll give the snow globe a shake and what appears once everything settles. So together we'll breathe, we'll remain curious and open. And remember, Just to simply notice what resonates. You don't have to believe anything I say. Let your own experience be your teacher, your guide on this journey. As we step into our first round where we question, is this really me? We'll connect with our breath and that 2 in and 4 out rhythm. The intentional breath, the conscious breath. Silent, subtle, rhythmical. And as you breathe, I encourage you to bring your awareness to the reality of your life. We'll begin our first round of rhythmic breathing in just a few seconds. In through your nose and out through your mouth. Listen for the count. Here we go.
In 1, 2. Out 2, 3.
Into your nose, out through your mouth.
2, 3, 4. In, 2, out, 2, 3, 4. In, 2, out, 2, 3, 4.
Smooth, subtle, silent, rhythmical. As you continue with your breath, reality of your life The person you've become. Your name.
Your job.
Your relationships. Your successes. Your failures, your beliefs, your opinions, your identity. There is no gap. There is no polish. Between each breath, that space between the breaths. Blend each breath into the next. The loop.
2, and 2, and 3, and 4, and 5, and 6, and 7, and 8, and 9, and 10.
And as you breathe, ask yourself, where did all this come from? Who taught you what success was? Who taught you what failure was? Who taught you what you should fear? What were you told about money? About relationships? About your body? About aging? About who you were supposed to become. Some of these things may be deeply true for you, and some may simply be those programs that have been running for years. So don't fight them, just see them, because awareness is the beginning of freedom.
In, 2, out, 2, 3, 4. In, 2, out, 2, 3, 4.
And hear these words. I am willing to see. I question what no longer serves me. I am not my conditioning. I am not my labels. I am not my past. I am willing to see myself clearly. I choose awareness over autopilot.
1, 2, 3. 3, in, 2, out.
As we get near our first breath retention, keep breathing, keep connecting. Now take the full breath in. Inflate your belly, your ribs, up to the chest. Breathe in and hold. And then exhale. Exhale and in. Bring your breath to a comfortable exhalation and hold your breath. Press the pause button. And hold your breath. And simply remember that at any point, if you want to take a breath in, a quick sip of air into the nose, and exhale it back out. Who would I be without the story? Who would I be without the mask? What if I don't have to be who I was taught to be? Letting go of any tension in your body, sink into the surface, surrender to We have 10 seconds remaining on this breath retention, so roll your shoulders, move your spine. Continue to hold. In 3, 2, 1. 2, 1. Now together, take the full breath in. Breathe in fully. Inhale. Here we hold the inhale and we squeeze and direct the energy up, up through the spine and into the point between the eyes. Feel that space. Nothing to perform here. Continue to hold. Nothing to prove, no identity to defend. Hold it here and squeeze. And then exhale and let it go. Let it go and feel your body. That something is different. Something has changed. Feel the life inside of you. Soften and surrender and return your breath to natural breath. And remain here for a few more minutes before we go into round 2 of rhythmic breathing. We're in round 2. We accept that we choose differently now. Now we go deeper. Because seeing and becoming aware of the program is one thing. Choosing not to run it is another. Sometimes at first the awakening feels beautiful, and sometimes it feels like everything is falling apart around you. Old identities begin to dissolve. Old relationships may change. New people come into your life. Things that once mattered may long— may no longer feel important. I'm gonna breathe in for 4 and out for 4. It's a smooth, slow rhythm, so allow the belly and the ribs to engage. And as you exhale, feel it sink back down.
1, 2, 3, 4.
Let go of the sigh or just simply exhale. With that exhalation, you acknowledge the space, the strange space where the old version of you doesn't quite fit anymore. But the new version hasn't yet fully emerged.
Exhale.
And sometimes this is where many turn back. But together with the breath, we can navigate our way through this uncomfortable phase.
Exhale.
Breath is smooth. Belly and ribs. Let it go. We see the We see the future. We hear the future. We feel the future. Not to be distracted and return back to the old self. Not to numb yourself again. Not to go back to scrolling, looking for answers. Returning to the old familiar. But today you stay with your breath. Any discomfort, the breath will guide you through that. Beneath all that noise, something else is waiting. This is your intuition. This is your inner knowing. This is a part of you that existed before the programming. Getting ready to breathe a bit quicker. In for 2 and out for 2.
Here we go. In.
I trust myself.
In.
I listen within.
In.
My body speaks. My intuition matters. I don't need permission to change. I release the need for external validation. I am willing to disappoint the old version of me. I choose I choose truth over comfort. I choose awareness over distraction. Now taking that full breath in again, the belly, the ribs, the chest, up and hold for just a second. And then Let it go. Ah, once again, holding your breath on that exhalation, holding your breath, pressing the pause button, and sink and surrender once again. And simply feel what happens when you stop asking the outside world who you are supposed to be. And instead, ask yourself, what do I know? What do I feel? What is my body telling me? What is life asking me to become? If you have that urge to breathe, then override that urge by a few seconds and simply Breathe in and breathe out. Continue to hold. Relax the body, the belly, the diaphragm, the ribs. Enjoy this stillness with no distraction, no scrolling, no external authority. Just you and your awareness. I trust my inner knowing. I am safe to change. I release what is no longer me. I don't need to know the entire path. I only need to take the next step. You have 10 seconds remaining on this breath retention. In 4, 3, 2, 1, take the full breath in. Breathe in, breathe in, breathe in, and hold and squeeze and send all that energy up. Holding and directing. I surrender. I trust life. I allow. Hold it. And release. Let your body soften. And again, feel what has shifted. Become aware. Of that increased tempo as the excitement begins to build. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. We make the experience today expansive for growth to happen, for the level of vibrational energy to increase. Once again, we'll use our breath and the music and my guidance to elevate, to expand, to open that space within. Just simply allow your breath to be normal, relaxed, as we prepare for this final round of breathing in a rhythm, of breathing in a beat. Where we will breathe in for 2 and out for 2. If you want to enhance this process, then on your inhale, just after that inhale, squeeze your pelvic floor muscles, and on the exhale, release them both together. Drawing up that sexual energy, that charge within. This is the energy. This is the transmutation. So are you ready to awaken? To see what you can't unsee? To join the many others building the new tribe? With no fear of feeling out the awakening. You were never meant to fit in. You're meant to wake up. Just a few seconds. We'll take it to the next level. So join me with that in-breath and that out-breath. Expand, intensify, grow, evolve, awaken. We go beyond the individual. You start noticing conditionings everywhere, the invisible rules, expectations, The fear loops, the identities people defend, the things everyone seems to accept simply because everyone accepts them. Not us, no more. Here we go, let's breathe together.
In, 2, out, 2. In, 2, out, 2. In, 2, out, 2.
Yes, breathe. Notice the patterns, the constant stimulation. More status, more money, more achievement, more reward, more approval, more distraction. What happens when you stop participating unconsciously? What color is coming forward for you with this new excitement? If you can't see a color, then what feeling are you feeling within your body? Place a hand on that feeling, point to it if you need to, bring in the awareness.
In, 2, out, 2. In, 2, out, 2. In, 2, out, 2.
I see, I observe, I am awake to my choices. I no longer need to live unconsciously. I participate without being controlled by the pattern. I choose my response. I choose my attention. I choose where my energy goes. Last few breaths, full power, squeezing on the inhale, releasing on the exhale. Expand and release. And now take that full breath in. Breathe in, breathe in, breathe in. And exhale.
Ah.
With one final retention, everything becomes still. No past, no future. Exhale and hold your breath. No identity to defend, just awareness. I am here. I am conscious. I am free to choose. I trust my intuition. I release fear. I release resistance. I surrender to life. Life isn't happening to me. Life is happening through me. I am the awareness experiencing this moment. You have 10 seconds remaining here. And 3, 2, 1. Let's take the full breath in. Breathe in. Lift up through the spine. Elongate your spine. Stretch your body up. Pull that energy up through the spine. Send it upwards. Make it bigger. Make it brighter. Feel that energy within you, that new energy, and hold it there. And then exhale it out. Allow this silence, the space. Whatever comes forward, let it come forward. This could be your intuition speaking to you now. Ideas, aha moments, revelations— these are all important. No need to rush, but simply begin to feel the ground, to notice the space. But notice something very simple. You are here. You are breathing. You are aware. Awakening isn't about becoming something extraordinary. It's about becoming less identified with everything you were told you had to be. Less mask, less fear, less conditioning. More presence, more awareness, more truth. More you. So the message is clear: just live differently. Let your presence speak. Let your choices speak. Let your freedom speak. And remember. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. So together, let's take one beautiful long inhalation through the nose together, holding it here for a few seconds to feel that energy one more time. And then, like you're blowing through a straw or pursed lips, breathe out slow, long exhalation. And slowly start to return back to your body. Body by wiggling the fingers and wiggling your toes, by moving your head side to side, by stretching. If you're ready to Open your eyes, you may, or you can simply stay in this moment for longer. Together we are the soma. One body, one mind, one heart. One love, one life, one breath. This has been Breathe Together Sunday, Summer Breath, with myself, Nigel McCallum, Piotr Kiepiel, and Monica Ware. We thank you again for being here and taking part and turning up and showing up for yourself on this Sunday. So I wish you well with the rest of your day if you're just beginning, or if you're coming to the end, then have an amazing day. And let's start to breathe like we were meant to breathe. So thank you.
Thank you.
Okay, thanks very much for the comments already. I'm just having a look through them now.
Thank you.
Thank you so much, Nigel. Thank you. Thank you. I wondered where you'd gone there for a second.
For a second, I just, I just was mesmerized by the entire session, to be honest. You picked my favorite tracks out of the Soma Breath big library. And I was just like, this is a session that I will definitely do as a replay tomorrow because obviously I wasn't able to participate in the session itself. So that was incredible. Thank you so much once again, Nigel. And let me just go through the chat because this is the perfect opportunity for you as well to put into the chat how you're feeling right now. Maybe you can even go back to the, the number that you decided to share with us at the very start, the level of vibrational frequency. Where are you right now? If you were at 3 or 4 or 5, have you gone up by a number, or where are you? Maybe you're steady at the same number. So just let us know. But of course, after a session like this, just give yourself time and permission to just land, arrive, right? There's no rush. We, we never invite rushing after a session like this. It's not like you wanna now run and do something quickly. No, just be at peace where you're at. Have a sip of water. Maybe even— I always like to mention journal on the things that might have popped up for you through this session. Because again, you might have received some downloads, some information, some insights that you'll be able to use then as well to— there you go. My camera is just not holding the energy in the space. It's okay. It's okay. I'm still here, everyone. I'm still here. I'm still here. And now, so I'm gonna just read out the comments. Wonderful. Thank you. Giving thanks. Incredible. So many downloads. How do we stay connected to you, Nigel? If you want to just type into the chat how people can connect with you, or you can mention this as well.
I'll put in my, my Summer Breath email if you want. I might be taking a risk there, but I'll do that anyway. It's quite a hard one to remember. It's nigel@summerbreath.com. Instagram is just my name as it is spelled there, Nigel McHolland. No D. Yeah, Monica's put in the chat.
Thank you very much, Monica. Monica, our incredible customer support. She's always here with us every single Sunday we're together. And she's also replying back to all the emails if you've sent emails to our support team. Thank you so much, Monica, for being our, well, right hand. Absolutely. Right hand. Literally, I need the right hand. So thank you so much. I appreciate it. Many thanks are floating in. I would say I'm at 8 now. up from, up from a 5. Also, I got downloads during, um, and trauma healing. So grateful for that. And also, question, I'm wondering why we exhale through the mouth instead of the nose. That was amazing though, from Andrea. Do you want to actually answer that, Nigel?
Yeah, sure. Um, it's quite specific to Soma Breath, but when we have, um, control of the breath, we use the exhalation. So if you try to breathe out As slow as you could, unless you're kind of yoga trained and kind of already do pranayama. It's quite hard for people to exhale with control through their nose. So we breathe out through our mouth. It gives us more control of that breath. And also what we're doing is by breathing out through the mouth, we're actually lowering the CO2 levels in our, in our blood. And that's preparing us for the breath retention, because during breath retention, the CO2 starts to rise gently. So all we're doing is just preparing ourselves for that breath retention. When we're in breath retention, we know this is the expansive place. This is where all the benefits are to be had. So the more you do breathwork, the more you come back and do some more breath, or you get the app and do it yourself, then the more you will experience longer breath retention and this almost reprogramming, rewriting, rewiring of your subconscious mind. So the exhalation is quite important to that process. Of course, if you wanted to be really relaxed and you weren't doing a breath retention, then The nose exhalation is absolutely fine to do that as well. It'll allow you to accumulate a bit of CO2 rather than get rid of it.
Thank you so much for the answer, Nigel. Beautiful question. Absolutely, yes. And then Anand mentions, the timing of the session couldn't be more perfect concerning the life event I am in right now. Thank you, Nigel. Much love from Anand. Laura mentions, forgiveness of my father's sides of lineage. And people are just— Justine is a 10, Laurie is a 10. We've got people that have hopped from a 6 to a 10. Wow, Leslie! Hi, Leslie! So much gratitude. We are so grateful that you're here with us, that you decided to come to the Sunday Breathe Together. And please make sure as well that you put this in your calendar. Every single Sunday, there is another instructor, another facilitator that will be guiding you through different journeys. And you'll be able to go deeper with Each single soma breath session. Andrea mentioned that was the best guided breathwork sesh I ever joined. Yeah, it was incredible, Nigel. Honestly, it was beautiful. Adele says lovely session, lots to ponder. Me too. Definitely worth a replay on this one. Always feel better for doing a soma session. So the replays are available in the app. Monica, if you don't have the app yet, it's a worthwhile investment. Okay, and it's not something that will just you know. really hinder your budget in any way. But the app will allow you to do Breathe Together Mondays and Fridays, which are longer sessions, even deeper sessions. I actually have a guided session tomorrow. So if you are an app member, I will be not the host, but I will be the guide, the facilitator. And it will be all about why intentions matter. So I think we're all kind of on this theme right now, subject of like, we know that it's September, we're coming near the end of the year. We also want to know that we're not fitting in. You're here to awaken. And it's time to set clear intentions for the rest of the year for your life. So if you are in the app, feel free to join 12 PM Eastern tomorrow for the Monday Breathe Together with myself as your guide. And we have Kamala saying thank you. Total release. I love— I realized discomfort at awakening is not fear. Total mindset shift. Beautiful. Beautiful. This community is a gift. Thank you, Nigel and all. I'm a 10 from Heather. So wonderful. Thanks so much. 11, Andrea from a 6 and 8. Amazing. Beautiful. We also want to mention something that will be happening from Tuesday for 2 days. We have the incredible Niraj Naik, the founder of Soma Bread. I think most of you should know who Niraj is, who will be hosting a free 2-day challenge. About manifesting, okay? And it's all about turning your dreams into reality with breathwork music technology. So this will be a 2-day manifesting challenge starting on Tuesday. Monica is sharing now the link for you to register for free and get access to it because you only have a couple of days now to obviously avail of it. So basically, with Soma Breath, with the app, you're constantly with us. Aren't we like a family? We're like— you're doing the Monday breathe togethers, the Wednesday move togethers, the Friday breathe togethers. They're manifesting challenges with us, the retreats, the instructor trainings, a phenomenal family that we are. But just make sure that you are clicking on that link that Monica just shared in the chat, a 2-day manifesting challenge with Niraj himself. And trust me when I say if you haven't done the one from last year or 2 years ago, you don't want to miss this one. Because we all want— I always like to say You know, bring your dreams into reality. We also dream beyond you, you know, live beyond your wildest dreams, basically, because we're so worth it. And if you're not fitting into a container, if you're not fitting into an identity, you are free to be whoever and whatever you want to be without the conditioning, without the program. So look how this is all lined up today's session and the manifesting. So today you're releasing the chains, getting out of the container of fitting in, fitting in, fitting in. Release, and now you're able to manifest with us as well from Tuesday. Tuesday and Wednesday, two days, 10 a.m. Eastern time. The manifesting challenge with Niraj himself. Amazing. And a final thing that I really want to mention today because it's it's coming literally in the next couple of weeks, which is the soma breath instructor training in London with Nigel himself. He will be there. So if you liked today's session. and you want to meet this incredible person in person, he will make you do squats all the time, just like me. Every time we meet people, we just make people squat. No, that's a joke. You don't have to squat all the time. But he will be training, one of the trainers at the Soma Breath instructor training for level 1 in London, which is happening— there you go, Monica. Thank you, Monica. The 3rd and the 4th of October in London. So if you were thinking about it, this is the perfect time. Just click on it, have a look through it, book a call with one of our team members to discuss whether, whether you actually want to do this and whether you are a fit. Because it's not, it's not about just, you know, bringing all many instructors out. No, no, no. We really value the people that are coming to the instructor trainings and becoming certified instructors. So we want the tribe to be growing, but also it's not about just certifying, certifying, certifying, certifying. Not at all. But the people that are coming to the instructor trainings, like the London ones, The Austin ones, the Bali ones are really people that are having a calling. They're feeling called. So if you're feeling called, if you have this intuitive feeling, I want to be there, meet Nigel, um, in person and receive training from him. This guy knows so much, like he's from this scientific health and well-being, and he will be able to explain to you truly in depth how to breathe, why we breathe, and how to just use these skills. So it's going to be a beautiful way for you to, to then become not only an instructor but also meet the tribe. Nigel, is there anything you want to add about the Solar Breath London training?
Well, if you did decide to come, then from past experiences, it's been a transformational experience as much as it is for yourself as it is for the people that you're then going to go out and teach as well and instruct and change the world one breath at a time. So it's as much for you as it is everyone else. So we have some amazing retreats all over. London one is no different. It's the theme that we bring forward, Piotr, isn't it? We just have an amazing, amazing time. Yeah.
100%. I agree. And the beauty about Soma Breath is as well that if you've been here before, if you're brand new, we really invite you to keep coming and seeing The difference and the uniqueness with every single facilitator, every single instructor. Nigel brings his flavor, I bring my flavor. Then we've got Claudia, Niraj, David, Chantal, Barry. We've got just so many incredible facilitators. Kira, Brooke. Just everyone just brings their own flavor to it. And that actually, you know, this is what I really pride myself to be part of Somagret and one of the masters as well, because no one tells us how to do stuff. Like we're not told that this is the way and just, you know, stay and fit in and fit in into some sort of, you know, structure. No, we have the baseline structure, the foundation, but then we just bring our own flavor to it, our own special sauce to every single facilitation. So amazing. I see, of course, this is also perfect moment. Is there anyone that would like to share the stage with us? And I'll grab— I'll give you the mic if you want to share maybe your experience, your journey, whatever you want to share. I see Diana, I see your hand is up. Of course, you're gonna— unmute you and, and I'm gonna give you the mic in just a moment. But anyone at all that would like to share, please just use the hand icon as well, the react, which is where I react, raise hand. Exactly. And then I'll be very happy to unmute you and then you'll be sharing the stage with us. But, but first things first, adding the spotlight to our dearest Diana. You were raving at the very start with us. I've unmuted you. You just have to accept. And then you can shoot. There you go. Hello. Yes, you were raving. I you were dancing at the very start, shaking. Thank you, Diana. Thank you so much for being with us. Sending you love from myself. From Nigel, from everyone else that is here during the Sunday Breathe Together. Thank you so much for being with us. Amazing. Have a blessed and amazing day. We'll see each other next week during the Sunday Breathe Together. Amazing. Any final words from you, Nigel?
As always, thanks very much. Thanks again for being here, everyone. And I love these sessions, and I'll be back at some point. But yeah, if you're interested in doing more, Piyot session tomorrow, the app, wherever. Just let's all breathe together. Yeah, let's keep that going every day. Do something.
Absolutely. Let's, let's make ourselves lighter. Let's make the world lighter. We've been carrying so much heaviness, so many labels, so many identities. The backpack is just you know, weighing us all down. So let's just unpack that with the breath, with soma breath, with the movement, with practices like this. Replay will be available. So please feel free to, you know, do that session again. And of course, yes, if you're in with the app, in the app tomorrow, I will see you for an incredible Why Intentions Matter session. And for now, thank you all so much. Let me just make— let me just put everyone on the big screen. So we see how still big the community is. Sharon, I see you. Hello, Suli. Hello. Big kiss, Carissa. Thank you so much for raving as well at the very start. Maria, Lara, Karina, amazing. Thank you all so so much for joining us, Andrea. All the love hearts to the tribe, and let's breathe together, Nigel. Thank you so much once again, brother. And thank you, Monica. Big hug and big kisses. We'll see each other either tomorrow in the app or the turn your dreams into manifestation into reality with.
