My friend Shashi, she holds these darkness retreats, so she invited me to go. And just before I went in, I had a relapse of the ulcerative colitis for the first time in years. And I said to her, I don't think I can do this. She goes, this is a ghost apparition of this condition for you to clear it once and for all in the dark. So I went in. The first 2 days are complete hell. And in 2 to 3 days in the dark, your brain thinks it's dying. You start to really lucid dream and hallucinate. and go into these altered states, and your life starts to unfold in front of you. And with the combination of the breathwork, you get in such profound states that I was able to start to really heal the past like never before. And then within, after 7 and a half days, when we came out, I was like a whole new person, and the symptoms disappeared, and I've been in remission since.
