I was working in a job in the US that I really had no passion for. And I was working myself to a state of complete burnout where I could barely get out of bed. I felt like I was going through the motions of life rather than actually living. And I knew there was something more, there was something deep calling within. I didn't know exactly what I was looking for, but I was looking. I said, there has to be something more than this. I feel like I'm surviving and I want to feel like I'm thriving. So how do I break free of all these limitations that were keeping me stuck where I was? And so I just went on a journey of seeking. And this actually led me to this very island where we hosted the retreat here in Thailand. And this island is where I first experienced my first Soma breath session. And I learned the power of the breath. The power of this combination of the music, the breath, the creative visualization to dive deep into places within ourself and meet myself in a whole new way. And this was actually what I was looking for. I was looking to know my true self. I was looking to experience who I really was and then to bring that forth. And that's really what Soma taught me, was to connect, to first myself, connect to my essence, and then bring that forth into how I guided sessions and how I shared this. And so then it sparked my creation of my product based company which turned a limitation within my mind of.
Plastic waste on the island of how can I be a small part of the solution. It gave me this idea of potential and possibility and how I can be part of the solution rather than just looking at something from the lens of being a victim. And so it really shifted my perception in that way. And I saw how I could do that. I saw what the power of tuning into possibility, using the breath, using our vibrational energy to connect to that every day, day after day. And the power of the breathwork practice to really maintain that new baseline. And as I did that, I was able to then create my own group coaching program, integrating Soma as one of the foundational pillars to help people do the same. Creating new baselines, opening our mind, opening our reality tunnel to see what else is possible, what do I truly want within my life. And then this has led here today to again bringing instructors in who want to share Soma in all these different ways and hearing their stories, hearing what brought them here, and having them share from this place has been absolutely incredible. To see the diverse group of people we have coming here that are going to now come out into the world and share soma and inspire people to do the exact same.
