So eight years ago, I found myself on a plane traveling all the way to India, where I met a medical doctor who completely changed my entire perception of physical health, well-being, and even mental health. Guy is called Dr. Prakash Ma. Hundreds and hundreds of patients that he sees in his clinic in Haridwar. Amazing thing that I learned from him: I was taught by waking up every day five a.m. Before he had opened his clinic, these very advanced yoga practices. They are very simple actually when you understand them. And what I found was that most diseases that we suffer from are the result of unhealthy, inefficient mitochondria, because he showed me that every reaction of producing energy in your body creates a bit of stress on the body, wear and tear, just like a car engine does. But yoga is designed as a practice to make you more resilient to this wear and tear and stress. Now here's the cool thing. When you do that, when you upgrade your mitochondria using the proper traditional yogic practices, produce more, you have more mojo, more life force, your mind is clearer, your emotional balance is better. So by just working at core cellular level on something like your mitochondria, you can have this knock-on effect of improving every other area of your life.
