The Solution to Heartburn, Indigestion, and Stomach Pains While Fasting | Niraj Naik | SOMA Breath®️

Niraj Naik teaches breathing and swallowing techniques to move air into your stomach and intestines, claiming it relieves heartburn and indigestion during fasting. The method uses a hiccup-like neck action, air sucking, and warm tea slurping, plus an inversion posture to shift air deeper into your digestive system.

If you feel like you've got acid indigestion, heartburn or stomach pangs, which are really unbearable when you're fasting, then this is an amazing technique that not only relieves heartburn, indigestion, but it also satiates your appetite so it makes you feel fuller so you can fast for longer without discomfort. And it can even kill bad bacteria and promote the growth of good bacteria. What it involves is drinking air into your bowels. All right, so it sounds strange, but check this out. All right, so what you're going to do is you can sit in a kneeling position like this. And what we're going to be doing is opening the esophagus whilst allowing air to enter into the stomach first. And then we're going to use another technique to move the air into the bowels. Okay, so the first way to do this is you just stick your neck.
Out like this, your Adam's apple like.
This in this action. So you're going to make this action with your throat and you're going to make kind of a hiccupy sound with your mouth slightly open. And this actually gets the air sucked into the stomach like this.
And then straight away after you do it, you're going to let your chin go towards your chest to, to lock the air in.
And you should hear like a gurgling sound which will know. You'll know that the oxygen is going into your stomach. So repeat again.
You can try that a few times and you should feel the air coming into your stomach. And now here's another variation for people who might find that one difficult is what you want to do is open your mouth slightly and suck the air. So you feel the air hitting the back of your throat like this.
Swallow, let your chin go to your chest.
And allow the air to enter into your stomach.
Repeat.
That's right.
So you can also move your throat forward a bit like this in this action and allow the air to touch the back. You should feel that cool air the back of your throat and then swallow.
That's right.
And the third variation of this technique is drinking a cup of chai or any warm liquid, which is healthy.
Alright?
So lemon juice is quite good. The little bit of ginger spices really helps to help with the stomach inflammation, if you have any. And this is drinking tea like an Indian.
Right?
So what you're going to be doing is slurping the tea and then swallowing. And this is hayduh. And you know, this may appear to be rude to those around you, so you might want to do this in private. So I'll show you.
Swallow.
Swallow.
And that's one of the most quickest ways to get that air into your bowels. But it's actually very, very therapeutic. And it's actually something you can use during fasting as well, where, if you're just drinking tea, you can actually get air into the bowels as well. And that will actually satiate the appetite.
Very quickly.
Although it's considered bad manners in some places. And again, once you swallow the air.
You want to put your neck down, lock the air in and allow it into the stomach.
So now we've got air in our stomach. I can feel it right now. And what we need to do now is get the oxygen into your intestines. So the way we do this is you're going to do an.
Inversion like this, where your head goes down onto the ground flat like this. Put your arms out in front of you and you just wait like this for a few minutes.
A minute or two is good enough.
Just breathe normally and you may actually feel the air already moving from your stomach into your intestines.
That's right.
And then repeat the process a few times until you've got plenty of oxygen coming into your bowels. And this will not only help promote good bacteria, also relieve heartburn, it will kill bad bacteria, and it will also satiate your appetite. So it's great to use when you're fasting.
