Niraj Naik explores what it means to be human when your body contains more bacterial cells than human cells, up to 10 to 1. He traces how single cells evolved into multicellular organisms and argues humans are ultimately a conscious community of cells, not a unified self.

Who are we? Your mantra is know thyself. Did you know that we are actually more bacteria, we're more germ than we are human. We have, we have 3 to 1. I think some studies show like up to 10 to 1 bacterial cells in our body than human cells. So what are we like what we thought we are? We don't. We're not anymore. We are actually germs. You look at the evolution of the planet of humans, what do we start off as? Single celled organisms. A single cell organisms got together with other communities of cells and they became in harmony with each other to form multi cell organisms. Multicell organisms developed into amphibians and then mammals, and they became humans. Right. So we are just a organized community of cells that has a consciousness.
