Paige Doherty launched Seed to Harvest in November 2021 after realizing solo podcasting was too much work. She tested the idea with a 12-episode MVP, got her brother Owen to design the logo, and secured sponsorship from Stripe to fund production and equipment.
Chapters
I used to do this podcast by myself, but I found it took up a lot of my time to do other things that other people are actually way better at, like research, editing, scheduling. So I started this podcast in November of 2021. I talked about it with about 6 people. This is like a lot of how I ideate ideas. So I'm constantly on calls with co-investors, creators, founders, and our investors. So I was talking through the idea of what a podcast might look like and why I wanted to start it. I decided on a path forward, which was to build an MVP of a 12-episode season. I got my brother Owen to draw an initial logo for Seed to Harvest. I ended up receiving a little bit of funding from Stripe, Stripe the payments company, to sponsor my first 12 episodes. With that funding, I ordered the equipment, which was recommended by a friend who works in sound production, and I was off to the races. Well, not really. There was kind of a lot after that.
