In this brief monologue, the speaker reflects on a moment when they faced an undefined threat from hackers and felt compelled to investigate and potentially bring the perpetrators to court. This challenge sparked a deep enthusiasm for tackling complex, unsolved problems, reinforcing their identity as an entrepreneur. Even when later working as a venture capitalist, they emphasize that they always prioritize the entrepreneurial mindset—putting the "entrepreneur's hat" on first—over the conventional VC role.

Nobody knew what to do. How do you catch the hackers? How do you figure out what they're doing? And we're gonna kind of like, you know, potentially bring them to court if they've done the wrong things. And that's why I really felt that itch of like, oh my God, I love starting stuff, you know, figuring out complex stuff that other people haven't figured out yet. And basically from that point onwards, I just stayed an entrepreneur with whatever I do. Even like as a VC, I think like I put my entrepreneur's hat first and then I think like a VC. Yeah.
