An LP explains what GPs should do differently: send specific emails that name the fund, its focus, and ask directly if they're interested, instead of vague outreach. Vague messages force LPs to do extra work figuring out relevance. GPs should also make their investment thesis immediately clear so LPs can quickly see if there's alignment.
What do you wish that GPs knew coming from the LP perspective? Like, what are those things that often come up where you feel like you're like constantly answering that question?

But I appreciate for most LPs, they don't. So just say, here's what we're doing. Is this of interest? Could we have a conversation? Versus the, hey, can we talk? Which puts the onus on the LP, which is just awkward because— Yeah. 9 outta 10, they're just, if they don't know who you are, they might not respond. And that's not necessarily fair, but you just, you don't wanna create any impediment to respond.
