What made Recursive Ventures Managing Partner Itamar Novick invest in Deel?

Do you wanna explain what Deel is? Yeah, yeah, of course I should. That's a good point. So Deel basically enables you to employ employees or contractors, anybody, anywhere, even on Mars if you find good employees there. I'm kidding. But like every, every country around the world. So instead of having to go through complicated regulatory and payroll stuff in, I don't know, pick a country, Yugoslavia, you can just go to Deel and they enable you to manage your entire workforce globally on one platform. So I met them actually the first week of Y Combinator when they just came over and they just pivoted from a completely different idea to this idea. And I was kind of feeling the pressure here in Silicon Valley around, wow, like talent is so expensive in Silicon Valley, but you know what? There's talent everywhere. There's talent globally everywhere and we want to tap into it.
