A founder explains why they returned to early-stage startups after business school: that's where transformative change happens. Founders only build when they believe they can improve the world, whether through infrastructure or new forms of play.
I spent my whole business school career trying to get back involved with tech, and I tried to figure out why. And I realized it's, put it simply, for me, it's where the magic happens. Like, people do not do early-stage startups or early-stage venture if they don't think the world's gonna be able to be changed and look differently in the future. And they try to do it in a way that they think is gonna improve it. And it could be something like next-generation infrastructure, or it could be future of play. It doesn't matter. You don't do it if you don't think the world can be improved on, which just kind of lights me up.
