In this solo coaching video, Paridhi Dhingra explains why people often lose motivation when pursuing goals. She argues that the core problem is an exclusive focus on the end result, which she likens to the final link of a chain. The preceding four links—Feelings, Thoughts, Beliefs, and Actions (FTBA)—are usually ignored, causing a motivational gap. Dhingra outlines a three‑step method to restore motivation: (1) identify the current negative FTBA that is holding you back; (2) define the required positive FTBA for the desired outcome; and (3) write these required feelings, thoughts, beliefs, and actions down and read them aloud daily for 10–15 days. Repeating this verbal reinforcement reprograms the subconscious, aligning internal states with the goal and enabling consistent action.

Stop everyone, stop and watch this complete video if you have a goal in your life which you've been trying to achieve, but you don't have enough motivation to achieve that goal. Why are you not motivated to take action to achieve your goals? Here is the biggest reason why you're not able to motivate yourself. The reason is you're completely focused on your results. You're not supposed to only focus on your results. I'll tell you why. If you only focus on your results, what you don't understand is that your result is connected as a chain. A chain is like links, right? One link connected to another. Your result is the last link of the chain. There are 4 links before that. If you don't know what those links are, and if you're not working on those links, that is why you're not motivated to achieve the last link of the chain, which is your result. Or those 4 links I call as FTBA. Feelings, thoughts, beliefs, and actions. You have never even written down what is my required feelings. When that is missing, motivation is missing. What is my required thought process? When that is missing, motivation is missing. What is my required belief system for achieving that goal, to take that action? Because that belief is missing, the action is missing. People want to exercise every day, people want to diet every day, but they don't have the right belief system to take action, to do the dieting, to do the exercising every day. You need to do 3 steps here. Step number 1, identify what's your current negative FTBA right now. Second, recognize the required FTBA. What is the required thought process? What is the required belief? What is the required action? And then once you've written it down, step number 3, read it loudly every single day. Read the required feelings every day. Read the required thought process every day. Read the required belief system every day. Read the required action frequency every day that this is how I act every single day. And when you visualize that every day, when you repeat that every day, give it 10 to 15 days, your subconscious will get reprogrammed.
