A short YouTube Q&A where Pete Ericson advises on how to get content onto a website. He outlines options: importing source material into WordPress, manually adding articles, or outsourcing PDF-to-article conversion (examples include hiring remote contractors to transcribe issues). He gives a concrete outsourcing example and costs to illustrate how to batch older issues onto the site.

Generally, how long would you expect it to take to get the site ready for me to add content? Let's put it that way.
Well, so adding content can work a couple ways. I don't know if there's something for you to import that you could provide us that we could import into WordPress and speed the process up, or if you just literally want to just start adding articles.
It would probably be best to add articles. I would have a lot of backend work to take a lot of work. You know, people send me articles in emails, Word documents, pages, everything. So it'd probably be easy just to have. Have us sit down and. And try to get some of. My concern here is not about getting it done as fast as possible. My concern is, is that how long is it going to take me to get enough content on the site that when somebody goes to it, they have something to view?
Sure, yeah. Well, let me give you another option. This is something that we have C publishers doing when they finally get the light bulb of, jeez, I got to get these. I got to get these articles out of the PDF so that they can be shared on the web and found. They'll hire somebody in the Philippines for 50 bucks an issue to take a PDF and literally copy and paste and transfer the images and the formatting into an article, into articles. So you can. You can work your way backwards. I have a name for you if you want it. You can work your way backwards. So you could say, okay, I'm gonna. I'm gonna go four issues back or 10 issues back and budget. You know, okay, I'll spend $500 and I'll get 10 back. The most current 10 back issues online. I give you a lot of content people to chew. Chew into that content.
