Hey everyone. Welcome to Zine 101. In this tutorial video, we will install the Leaky Paywall WooCommerce plugin. So why would you set this plugin up? If you're currently using WooCommerce and you would like to continue doing so, but also gate off access to your content, this is a great way to do that. If you would like to open up the payment gateways Beyond Stripe and PayPal, which is what Leaky Paywall supports out of the box, WooCommerce is a great fit. If you also sell physical products, perhaps, and you'd also like to sell digital subscriptions, WooCommerce Leaky Paywall is a good fit. All right, a couple of things also to note. The leaky Paywall recurring payments. So this particular plugin is no longer needed if you decide to go with the leaky paywall WooCommerce plugin. Instead, your recurring payments are now handled by WooCommerce. So you would need the WooCommerce subscriptions plugin to handle those recurring subscription payments. Alright, so back to WordPress. I've gone ahead, I've installed the Leaky Paywall WooCommerce plugin and I've also gone ahead and created a product inside WooCommerce. Okay, the first thing that we want to do inside WooCommerce is go to our settings and we want to go to accounts and Privacy and we want to turn off this guest checkout functionality. All right, so go ahead and save that. The other thing that we want to do, since WooCommerce is handling the payment side of things, is adjust our subscription card page. So Leaky Paywall isn't going to be handling the registration part of it. WooCommerce will be doing that. So we need to change this to our WooCommerce shop. All right. And save that up. The next thing, since we have a product already in WooCommerce, I'm going to go ahead and select subscriptions. And I have a digital access plan here. I've got it set for one month. And what will happen here if someone purchases the digital subscription product through WooCommerce? If the payment is successful, they'll also have access to the digital access plan that we see here. And so an account is created inside Leaky Paywall and they'll have access to whatever this plan includes. Alright, that does it for this tutorial. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. Thanks for watching.
