Giving value can build trust on social media

Polly Barnfield shows how free, high-value content like a renovation checklist builds trust and drives social-media followers to your website. Pinnacle Works used a compelling checklist to get users clicking the bio link and exploring case studies and pricing. A listening and insight summary dashboard lets you quickly measure engagement rates and platform performance.

Today we're looking at how giving value can build trust on social media. This is Pinnacle Works and they use social media very much as a way of showing, you know, the great stuff that they do and the kind of work that they're looking for, and indeed showing off some of their testimonials and things like that. And what I really like about this one is this one's a little bit different. So this is here the essential checklist for building renovation. So it's saying here, renovating a tired London building and breathing life into brickwork is a labour of love and often something one of the most rewarding building projects you can undertake. However, it's never fast or easy. Click on the news link, in the bio, where we run through some of our advice, etc. So what they want you to do is they want you to go from social media to their website so that you can click on the link and find out more. And guess what, when you're in there, you're much more likely to then click into Wave. Maybe some of the services, or maybe you might go in and look at their prices, you might go in and look at some of their case studies, but what they want you to do is go and learn more about them. Best way of doing that is through building up trust. Best way of building up trust is giving away free advice. So it is a really, really good way for any business to try and drive people from social media to go and do a thing and learn more about them. Now, if I was these guys, one of the things that I want to do is understand whether my social media was working for me and learn more very quickly. So I would go to maybe and then into maybe. I would go to listening and insight summ. And in insight summary, they would click on themselves here and then here. They would start to understand really quickly as a snapshot what's working for them. So they can see all their followers, they can see how many posts they're doing, the number of engagements, the number of posts per day, and then they can start to build up a picture of actually, you know, what's my best post on regular basis? Is it normally on Facebook, is it only on Instagram? I can see how many engagements they're getting per day versus how many posts. You know, they're putting out too many posts and not putting out enough. It's just such a good way of them being able to benchmark what they're doing very quickly. Now, as always, if you've got any questions at all, click on the little group button. We'd love to help.
