Hi, I'm Hannah from. Maybe we help you take the guesswork out of social media. We're going to see how the Greyhound Pub in Harlow adds personality and a human touch to their social media content to successfully engage their followers. If you have any questions, please use the blue button inside maybe as it connects you all to us 24, 7. And we love to help. So let's have a look at their feed. So the Greyhound Pub is an independent pub based in Harlow. Like many pubs and restaurants around the uk, they will have found the last couple of years particularly tough on football and sales. And staying connected to their customers when their doors are closed is obviously going to be a challenge. But one of their ways that they have kept their customers informed of what's happening is by posting regularly and consistently on Facebook. So if we have a look at their feed, let's take a look at this post. So this one here is actually about something which might appear unusual to post about on social media, the gents toilets. Yet it's one of their best posts. So by adding a bit of behind the scenes content, a bit of personality and showing what's happening at the business. So even when their doors might be closed, they've kept their customers up to date about what's going on and they've used a refurbishment to actually build a conversation on social media. And as you can see, this worked really well for them on Facebook and it almost doubled their engagement against their second best post and transformation videos. So before and after videos, or before and after images or stories are huge on social media. They've kept this post simple. There's no real call to action, it's just simply keeping customers informed. As a business, they're investing in the premises and there's work going on, but they've also referred to more refurb work. So obviously that's piquing the interest of followers because it shows that that's not the only thing that's going on. There's other things too. So they've done a great job with that here. And I think what also shows is they've understood that type of content works for them because here you can see they've posted about the ladies toilet, so not to leave the ladies out. And again, they've got a great level of engagement because people are interested in what's going on. So they've spotted what works and they've done more of it, which is fantastic. They clearly know their audience, they post regularly, they post consistently and they show that human side to their business and a Little bit behind the scenes and they even post about things like when they are closing because they're going on holiday or even just Happy New Year. But they really do keep their customers up to date about what's happening and just make their customers feel like they're part of the extended Greyhound family. And with their images, they keep those simple. They've probably taken them with a phone and to be honest, you don't need any more than that with images. And they've done a great job. There's three main areas of content. Obviously, there's content you create, there's what's called curated content, which is content that you share from other feeds. And then the third is this type of content that we've looked at here. So this is the, what we call personality content. So this is the bit that adds human touch and adds that bit of behind the scenes about your business. And it's worked really well. And the Greyhound Pub are particularly good at that. So what can we learn from what they've done here? Well, know your audience and know what they want to see from you. Add personality to your feeds and post consistently and that will keep your customers connected to you and keep them interested. And then obviously check out which posts perform best and do more of these. So let me show you how the maybe best post feature can help you with this. So in your maybe account on the dashboard, first of all, you can see your own best post. So quite simply you can see what's performing best for you. So you can do more of that type of content, but then you can also see the same for either brands you aspire to or competitors or maybe other local businesses. So whatever other business you'd like to see what their best post is, you can also see that on your dashboard too. So you can really see what works on social media. But that's not all you can go and listening to best posts. And here you can see the best posts in your sector, in an area, in a town, on a specific channel. You can break it down in whatever way you want to, whatever best post you want to see, whether it's, as I said, your sector, channel or a particular place, you can see that here. So you can check out what works best on social media, so you can do more of that on your feeds. Hope that's been useful.
