In this short instructional video, the presenter explains how active participation on X (formerly Twitter) – specifically liking, sharing, and commenting on others' posts – builds relationships, boosts visibility, and drives relevant users back to your profile. Using the example of Chris, a fintech entrepreneur, mentor, and investor, the video illustrates how regularly sharing industry content demonstrates expertise, expands reach to new audiences, and encourages followers to engage with the sharer's own feed. The core message is that simple, consistent engagement actions are an effective strategy for growing influence and connections on X.

Foreign. Today we're looking at how engaging can create engagement on X. So on X you have to be active and engaged. It's all about building relationships and it's all about the conversation. To engage on X, it's really easy. You either like, share or comment on content from other people's feeds. And with X, it's great for reaching new people relevant to your business. So one of the things that Chris here, for example, does very well is share content from other feeds. He's an entrepreneur, mentor and investor in the fintech industry, so he's looking to connect with people in that industry. And he uses X as a platform to show that he knows his stuff, that he's connected and up to date with the industry, but obviously ultimately to drive relevant people's attention back to his profile. So by sharing this content, as you can see, which he does very regularly to his feed, it not only means he's sharing other content that's of interest to his audience on his feed, but it also means that by engaging with his content, he's actually putting his feed in front of the followers of these other feeds, so they're much more likely to notice him, much more likely to follow him, and much more likely to engage with his content. So it means therefore, that he's not only sharing content relevant to his audience on his feed, but he's reaching new people in the industry too. I hope that's been useful. I'll see you on another video soon.
