How extending your shopwindow using social can attract new footfall

A local bookshop in Shropshire uses Instagram posts of its seasonal window displays to attract nearby customers who might walk past. Posting regularly with tags and a content calendar keeps the shop visible year-round across social platforms.

Today we're looking at how you can take your shop front online through social media. This little bookshop in Shropshire went all out on the Halloween theme and it really boosted their engagement on social media. They use Instagram to really take their physical shopfront digital by showcasing everything that their shop front had to offer during this seasonal time. The post gives a real feel of, I guess, you know, like the, the season of Halloween that really gone all out to make it special and then what they've done as well as they've tagged in any businesses and people that have contributed to the window and supporting them in the process. So extending your shop front digitally throughout the year is the best way to show people living locally what you do in lieu of them actually being able to physically walk past your shop. So if you're maybe tucked away, it's just a really good way of I guess attracting new people down that maybe didn't even know you were there or just showing off your skills as well. Now, if I was the Ironbridge Bookshop, what I would want to do is look at how I can keep up the momentum and make sure that I'm always scheduling in my content and keeping it really fresh. So what I would do is go onto content in my maybe platform and I would go into content calendar and in here you can actually look at all the content that you've got scheduled in through the course of the whole week. And then you could can look here and you can add in posts, you can add in Twitter, Facebook or Instagram posts and you can actually schedule them all in here at the click of a button. Now if you've got any questions at all, please click on the little blue button. We love to help.
