How Primark strike the balance between posting content and engaging

Primark replies to nearly every comment and balances product posts with curated content and personality-driven posts that spark conversation. The retailer posts regularly and equally splits time between creating content and engaging with followers. A unified social media platform can centralize this work across Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram from one dashboard.

We're going to see how Primark achieved the perfect balance between posting and engaging on social media. If you have any questions, please use the blue button inside maybe as it connects you to us all 24 7. And we love to help. So let's have a look at how they do this so well. So this is obviously their Twitter feed and what jumps out initially is that they post regularly and consistently, but a great variation too. So you can see here that they've got a great combination of sharing content from other feeds. So that's curated content. So content that you don't create, lots of created content. So content of their products, of what they offer, but then also what we maybe refer to as personality content. So just fun content, maybe a bit of content that sparks a conversation or shows a little bit of behind the scenes about your business. And they really do consistently post a brilliant combination of those three types of content. I've got polls here, which again, you know, is. Is obviously aimed at spike sparking engagement and conversation. Lots and lots of great product images, but lots of this personality content, this fun content where they are just looking to start a conversation with their followers and they do a fantastic job. Varying your content between those three types of content is key. And I think pre Mark really do actually set the standard for that. So that's the first thing that jumps out in terms of their content. But the next thing that is apparent is that they spend just as much time engaging with people as they do posting. They reply to pretty much every comment they get on their post, which is absolutely perfect. I mean, after all, a business posts on social media to try and spread brand awareness, get people to see what they offer and ideally get them talking about their posts or their products or something that they've posted content about. So it obviously makes absolutely no sense to achieve someone commenting on your post and then to basically ignore that and, and not do anything with it. But Primark set the bar for this. I mean this, this post here, you can see, has had 68 likes. And I think it was something like, let's have a look. 93 Comments on this particular post and Primark have responded to every single one. I mean, you, you can't achieve better than that. So it's really clear that they really do spend as much time engaging with people as they do posting content. And that balance, you know, doing an equal amount of both is exactly what you should be aiming for as a business. And as I said, they set the standard for this. So what can we actually learn from that? Well, absolutely and your aim as a business should be to balance your time equally between posting content and engaging on social media. So aim to do an equal amount of both. That is absolutely the one thing that we can learn from Primark and how they actually approach their social media. And then the second one is to vary your content between content you create, content you curate, so content from other sources and other feeds, and that fun personality content. If you have an equal mix of those three, you really can't go far wrong. And I think that, you know, those two learnings just jump out from Primark's social media feed. Let's have a look how maybe can actually help you with this. So under maybe engagement, you can engage with all of the comments on your posts, anyone that mentions you on social media, and you can then engage with conversations or feeds that are relevant to you as a business, and that's across Twitter, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. So you can build a community. You can increase your engagement by making sure you're part of the right conversations on social media across multiple channels. So for example, Primark might want to engage with obviously people that comment on their posts or mention them, as well as maybe the shopping or fashion conversations in the UK or maybe the local conversations in the places where their stores actually are. And you can do all of that from maybe from one place. So that really helps you to save time when you're engaging because you can set all of the different conversations and locations that you'd like to actually engage with as a business and then you can engage with those all in one place across Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. So it really is a big time saver. If you have any questions, please use the blue chat button inside Mavis. It connects you to us all 24 7.
