Hi there. Today we're in Dundee and we're looking at how sharing your posts in multiple groups can really drive your potential reach and audience size. So this is a Scottish dance theatre, kind of does what it says on the 10. It's a dance theatre and it's based up in Dundee. Their content is lovely and they're really, really strong when it comes to posting regularly on Facebook and great when it comes to things like tagging. So here they've tagged in, they've tagged in the businesses and they always make sure that they put links and they put lots of detail into their posts so that you really understand what it is they're talking about and indeed what you need to do off the back of their posts. But one of the things I've noticed as I was going through their feed, which is obviously lovely, is they do a lot of shares. Now, looking at this one, for example, you can see where the, where they shared it and who shared it. Now, a lot of these have been shared into groups and also by the individual people who are following them. Now, why would you share. So why would you share a post 19 times? Why would you go in and share any post? Well, the idea is that you can go in and you can join groups. Now if I'm the Scottish Dance theatre, what, and I'm based in Dundee, what groups would I want to follow? So I would want to follow Dundee based, maybe Dundee businesses, for example. So you would do that, you would go to groups and then they will have joined a lot of these groups. Now you can join based on your, on your personal profile, but a lot of the groups let you join as, as a business as well. So they will have gone in and they'll have started posting in all of these businesses. Now that's, you know, this one's got one in 1,000 members, this one here has 3,700. So if I'm going in there and I'm posting, so say that was for a choreographer, for example, let's go back here. They're looking for two choreographers or dance artists at the early stage of their career. They are looking for applications, effectively. If I then went in and I started sharing that into multiple groups based in Dundee, for example, the likelihood of me getting applications is much bigger because I'm not only sharing on my individual page. So anyone who's following the Scottish Dance Theatre, I'm sharing to multiple groups within Dundee, which means I'm much more likely to get new people, new eyes on my posts if I didn't do that. Myself. And also by encouraging their own choreographers and their own customers, if you like, to share their posts again, it means that they're going to get much more reach than what they ever would if they were just doing this themselves. So basically, the moral of the story for me is there's no point in just focusing on posting yourself in your. You know, you're only posting to people who are already following you. If you want to grow your Facebook like these guys clearly do, then making sure that you create shareable content and making sure you actually share it yourself and you have lots of people who share it for you, like here, means that you will get much more reach, a lot more eyes on your posts and a lot more new potential customers. Now, if I was a Scottish dance theatre and I wanted to look at other businesses and other groups and things like that that I should be sharing with, then what I would do is I would go to my dashboard, I would go to Engagement, I would go to Engage, and then I would pick location. So I would want to look for Dundee. Here we go. Now I might want to look. So basically what this does is this gives me the most engaged businesses within any place. So this is across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. And so what I would want, Be wanting to do is to be making sure that, you know, so say this is the market in Dundee. Now, there's a lot of people who will be going there who might want to buy tickets to come to the dance theatre for a performance, for example. Now all you have to do is go in and you can like, and you can comment within the feed and all that does is just. It's a little digital signpost that comes back to you and you can also look at the individual categories as well. So if I'm a dance theatre, then perhaps I want to look at fashion and I want to look at health and fitness businesses. So literally they all come up here. And if I was the dance theatre, I'd want to be going in and commenting and supporting these other businesses is because, again, it works exactly the same as me sharing into the groups. It means that I'm much more likely to then get new eyes on my post that simply weren't there before.
