How showing behind the scenes can drive engagement

A Bolton marketing agency used behind-the-scenes office photos to boost social engagement, showing off their in-house photographer and creating FOMO. They tracked results through metrics like followers, engagements per post, and best performers to see if the effort paid off.

Behind the scenes into your business on social media creates more engagement. This is relative marketing and creative. They are a marketing solutions company based in Bolton and they use social media obviously as a way of showing off, you know, what they do for their clients and they like to, they do like to show a little bit of what happens behind the scenes as well. And no such better way than this. So this was their office photo shoot for their new website and they just said they're pretty pleased with the outcome so far and that you know, they've got obviously the in house person is doing the keen eye and editing skills but it's a really, really lovely way of, you know, getting a peep into, you know, the development of their new website. It shows us the work that they do for us potentially as well as the work that they're doing for themselves and obviously also promotes the fact that they've got the photographer which is helping to double the engagement as well. They've used some really good hashtags so basically they're using marketing well which is what obviously you know, a web design company or a marketing company or creative company would have to be able to do. So it's a really good way of showing the behind the scenes and I guess creating that kind of potential fear of missing out as well. Now if I was these guys, one of the things I'd want to do is obviously make sure that social media was working for me effectively. So I would go to, maybe go to the dashboard and go to my insight summary and in there they would click on themselves and then here they'd be able to see how many followers they've got across all their connected channels, the number of posts that they've done, the number of engagements that they've done across the, across the time periods, the number of posts per day, engagement per post, engagements per day. And they can even view their best post here and view their calendar. And what that does is it gives me a snapshot of, you know, the time that I've spent. Say they're spending a couple of hours a week on social media. Is that time valuable? Is that time being spent? Well, are they getting enough engagement on their posts? And they can see very, very quickly without having to go into a huge report and they make adjustments accordingly. Now as always, if you've got any questions at all, click on the little blue button. We love to help.
