In this instructional video, the presenter analyses how Central Wellness, a yoga studio, used a gratitude‑focused social‑media strategy during an open‑day event to significantly boost engagement. The studio filmed the day, collaborated with local businesses such as Eat More Good Stuff, and posted a reel accompanied by a heartfelt thank‑you caption. The gratitude‑rich caption resonated with viewers, generating higher likes, comments, and shares than typical posts. The speaker then outlines actionable tactics for other local businesses: partner with nearby merchants, use location tags, comment on and reshare relevant content, and consistently express thankfulness to humanise the brand. The overall message is that authentic gratitude combined with community collaboration can turn a simple promotional post into a high‑engagement, relationship‑building asset.

Foreign. Gratitude on social media can drive engagement. This is Central Wellness and as you can see, they are a yoga studio and they do lots of classes. And they use social media as a way obviously of selling their packages and trying to get people obviously to book. But what they've done here is really, really lovely. They decided to do an open day where they invited people down to basically test out, to test things out, to test drive, if you like, you know, some of their classes. So it's a good way to attract new clients. And what they've done is they produce this reel. So let's take a look at. Okay. So you get the kind of feel for it. So they held an open day and they filmed it throughout the day, which would have just been on a phone. And as you can see, there's clearly people there who know yoga very well and they've done it before. And then you've got other people who probably are beginners and never tried it. And they collaborated, lots of people. So they collaborated with other local businesses like, as you can see here, eat more good stuff. So. So they provided the food and they had personal trainers there. They had so many people there, basically, you know, that were there to, I guess, you know, to test drive out what it's like to focus on your wellness, your health and fitness. So it's a big mix of people. They're there for the day and honestly, it just looks like a really wonderful day. So what they've done is they've chosen to do, A, a collaboration, but B, it's all about the gratitude. So they said, what a day. Our hearts are feeling very full right now. Thank you for everyone who joined us today at Central Wellness for our open day. They thanked the, the students, they thanked the teachers, they thanked every single person who's come along. They've thanked the business. So it is gratitude at its heart and people love that. People want to, I guess, you know, you get the feeling from the video itself, you know, that it looked like an incredible day and very much, you know, like, you know, something that everybody would have enjoyed. But it's the, it's the gratitude in the caption that would make me think, wow, I really enjoyed that day. Or maybe I didn't try it. And I'd love to give that a go because, Clear, you know, it's the, it's the human behind the business. It's not just about, you know, a local business selling its products or selling its services. It's actually about the people and feeling very thankful for your customers. And as you can see people have said, you know, we had a brilliant day, lovely class, brilliant class with Amy, wonderful day. So they've got more engagement on this post than they have done with most of the other ones. And that is because they felt grateful. So one of the things that I would do if I was these guys is I would go into make sure that I'm engaging with as many businesses as possible in the area because guess what, if they are, you know, using the local hair salon, then they might want to try yoga. If they are using the local bakery, then they might want to try yoga. And plus the idea should be that obviously when you engage with other local businesses on social media, you might end up collaborating with them as well. So I would go to the location bit on maybe I would put in. So here it's North Casteven but obviously for any other business they could use this as well. And then here you've got all of the local businesses that are getting engagement on social media. So the spikes food here. So they could, I would like and I would comment on it. I might even reshare it if I think it's something that, you know, might, that my followers might be interested in. But it's a really good way of digitally sign posting people back to you. And as I say, you might end up in, you know, in a collaboration with someone as well. Now as always, if you get any questions at all, click on the little blue button. We love to help.
