How tagging can drive reach on social media

A Richmond hotel's Instagram Reel tags the food photographer, videographer, and its on-site restaurant account. This strategy gets the post shared to those creators' followers and lets diners book the restaurant without staying at the hotel, generating extra revenue and reach.

Today we're looking at how tagging can drive reach on social media. This is a beautiful hotel based in Richmond, and this is the reel that they put up. Let's have a look. So not only obviously is it a really cool reel and it really shows off, I guess, you know, like the location it shows off. You know, it started off with that lovely picture of the cheese fondue, the chocolate fondue even. So it kind of creates intrigue. But the reel itself showcases the lovely area that the hotel is in and you can really see what you can do whilst you visit. I think what I love really is the caption and the tagging. So here, you know, they've kind of gone into detail about what you can do, where, how, you know, all that kind of thing. Head to the link in our bio to book your Christmas function or place at your New Year's Eve falls. They're trying to get people. They were trying to get people to book for their event. And what I love is they've actually tagged in the food, the Helen food photography here, and they've tagged in whoever did the video as well. So toasty visuals. So I think it's just such a good idea because they've tagged in the restaurant so that you know that you can actually book there without staying, which is great. And they've given credit to the photographer and videographer, so naturally then they're going to repost that, so they're going to get extra following through that. And it's just much more likely for people that, you know, they're going to increase their reach by doing that, because they're then going to be coming up, so see, toasty visuals, they're going to be coming up in their feeds and their followers can go, oh, you know, I didn't know that I could book that. And exactly the same with the photography. Plus, it just shows that you're supporting other local businesses as well. But honestly, the idea that of actually tagging in the restaurant within the hotel is such a good one as well, because clearly it's got its own Instagram account and it means that they're just getting kind of like extra bang for their buck, I guess.
