Learn to set up a Facebook Pixel in Business Manager and install it on your website to track customer actions and improve ad performance. The process differs by platform: WordPress, Shopify, and Squarespace have automatic installation, while custom sites require you to share the raw code with a developer or add it manually. Confirm the Pixel is active with a green status indicator before assigning it to your ad account.

Hello. I'm going to show you how to create a Facebook pixel for your business and how to add it to your website. The Facebook Pixel is a piece of code that you put on your website that allows you to measure the effectiveness of your Facebook advertising. By understanding the actions people take on your website, the data collected on your Pixel will help your advertising to be more effective. So from within your business manager, you want to go to Page Settings and then scroll down until you see data sources. Here you'll see Pixels. Just click in and you'll then see the big blue add button. Click on that and it will pre populate with your business manager name, but you can overwrite that and give it the name of your choice. And if your website is one of the more common platforms like WordPress, Shopify or Squarespace, I definitely recommend you pop in the URL here. And then when you click Continue, it will show you the options to select your platform and guide you through the steps to help you install it automatically to your website. If you're on a website that is less common, it's bespoke. Facebook will just confirm the pixel code to you, and you will then take that code and share it with your developer, your web developer, or if you are able to yourself, then it will show you the instructions on how to install it and where on your website. So once you've gone through that process, your pixel name will show in the list. This little round circle here will go green when you've got your pixel both installed and active, so you'll know that it's working properly. As soon as this goes green, you will need to assign your pixel to your ad account. You do this here where it says Add Assets. So you find your ad account and just click Add. You'll also want to add yourself and any others that are helping you to manage your advertising to the Pixel. So so you do that by clicking on Add People. Find the people you want to add in the list, either Assign View, but if they're really going to help you, they're going to need manage Pixel access and just click Assign. You can also delete your assets connected to your Pixel here with the delete button. And you can also delete people from your ad account in the same way just via the Bin button there. So I hope that helps you to understand how to create your pixel, how to get it installed on your website.
